this one is different from the other ones that say that "the notification appear and are gone is secs"
for me, norifications appear normally, except if i close them, the will reappear after some time
example: "various notifications of twiiter appears"
"i close them"
"past some minutes (i guess 15) they appear again, and they are the same as before"
what should i do?

Hello,
For some reason, task reminder/alarm/calendar reminder no longer appear on my Cingular 8125 screen. More specifically, it used to work like this: when a reminder is triggered, the lower left of the screen shows a "Notification" button, clicking on it shows more of the current notification and allows me to dismiss it. Now, only the sound is played and there is no "Notification" button. The result is i can't dismiss my morning alarm, which drives me crazy. Did i set something wrong to cause the "Notificataion" to disappear? Did anyone else see this before? How get i get "Notification" button to appear again?
Thanks a lot
Start/Settings/Sounds & Notifications/Notifications, choose reminders from dropdown menu and fix your settings.
Now as to how it was changed, that is a mystery.
Same Problem
I have the same problem, even though my notifications are set to pop up and play notification sound, it just stopped working and now I am considering hard reset.
I am still waiting for those slackers at IMATE to release a new update before I hard reset, but I have a feeling they will nolonger be releasing an update since AKU 2.0.
I have problem how my Touch HD handles Alarms and Reminders. Not sure that this is WM 6.1 general problem or Touch HD specific but I would appreciate any help regarding this.
When I set alarm (clock settings) or create new appointment I expect from my phone to play sound until I do something about it. But that doesn't happen. When Alarm/Reminder starts, everything is ok but... After sound is played first time, there is almost 1 minute delay. And after that delay sound is played at same interval twice more times and that is it. Phone goes back to standby mode and until I power on manually I wont see message popup, or in most cases just a small bell icon in title bar.
My setting are pretty simple - everything is checked under Sounds and Notification:
Enable sounds for: Events, Programs, Notifications, Screen Taps, Hardware buttons
For Reminder event: Play sound (Alarm-Rooster), Repeat, Display Message on screen, Flash light for 5 minutes, Vibrate.
My questions are:
1) Is there possibility to loop sound while it is playing? Not just repeat at "unknown" intervals
2) Is there possibility to repeat alarm/reminder until it is turned off?
3) Is there way to have some notification window which can't be put in background until I do something about it.
I am not heavy user, so I don't check regularly what is going on on my mobile. But I do expect to be somehow notified when some important events happens (sounds, blinking, vibrate - just not led, because I can barely see it).
I tried to find program which handles alarms, notification and run into PhoneWeaver which is great but problem remains. As I understand PhoneWeaver rely on WM Alarms and Notifications behavior. It just adds convenient notifications for SMS, E-mails.
What bugs me is that I have now perfectly working notification when Email, Missed Call or SMS arrives. It will repeat chosen sound on certain periods of time until I do something about it. And standby doesn't have anything to do with it.
But problem still remains, Alarm and Reminder sound notification is repeated just three time until phone back to the Standby mode and that is it. If I don't see it then, I won't until I turn on phone.
Any ideas?
if I snooze an event for 1 hour, it comes back with a reminder in 30 minuets
WinMo handling of notifications is horrible IMHO
it may have been good enough back in the days of WinMo 2003 but it's just annoying now
my biggest gripes
*not enough snooze intervals (or a custom snooze time)
*wakes up the whole device to show u the alert
plus it's buggy
if I snooze an event for 1 hour, it comes back with a reminder in 30 minuets
does anyone else have this issue and maybe know a fix?
Is there any custom application that handles default WM behavior regarding alarm/reminders and notification? I found few, but all of them are just providing handy UI and keep using buggy WM. At the moment I am using PhoneWeaver in order to have profiles like on my Nokia. But look like it doesn't have full support for HD because I can't even change sound for Reminder.

I want know also how I can fix that. I have ticked "show message on screen" and then a "bubble" comes on the screen when I have alarm/appointment, but that works only once. Next time I have a alarm or appointment, theres only bell icon on top bar.
I check settings and "show message on screen" is unticked! Help?

I found a same issue with Touch Pro, that's really annoying problem
The cure (almost)
Yes the repeating alarm/reminder thing is a bit weak to say the least I REALLY need to know if I've missed a call, SMS, meeting etc. There's a real nice powerful app called PhoneAlarm which does everything you could possibly want. Almost too customizable. The problem is it relies on the Today plugin but most of us are using HTC's TF3D which disables all the plugins. I've tried a few others but ended up with something called "Best Reminder" - corny name I know but its ok'ish. Try it in case it helps.
SPB Phone Suite, IS WHAT YOU SHOULD DOWNLOAD, it has a repeating alarm bug fixes, and also repeated notifications for SMS/emails/Missed calls.
Try it, its sweet!

Sorry, I forgot to mention this:
No need to enable the Today plugin, just Set it, and forget it!
Will try it...

If it's from SPB it should be good
I'm just having another go with http://www.pocketmax.net/alarmPal.html. Last time I tried alarmPal it kept crashing but this time round its on the device memory and seems ok so far. Its cheap too. "Best Reminder" is a half solution so hopefully one of these should work out.
Anyone else get the problem where when you repy to a text you get numbers instead of letters, is there a fix for this yet?
If that happens I just hide the keyboard and then press the bit where it says 'Press here to type' or something like that. Takes a second to do and always seems to work for me when that happens
Didnt know you could do it that way, I tend to go into quick text or whatever its called then cancel back out and its ok after that.
Damned annoying though and surely something that would of been picked up in pre release testing?
I find that when trying to reply, it instructs you to tap screen to reply, but it takes several seconds and lost of tapping before it starts allowing me to type. Very annoying!
I guess the question has come up already a dozen of times, but I wasn't able to find any relevant previous threads so here it goes...
I've read several times already it is impossible to add window animations to WM (6.5) .
However, when I open an email from the default MS email app that comes on my HTC Touch2 with default ROM, it clearly fades to the new email window. Even the closing "X" in the top right corner fades to an "ok" icon.
How is this possible?
Also, this app: (CRT fade out Animation)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=843480
clearly applies effects to the screen image.
Someone please clear things out :/
It is possible quite easily, if you know where to search. I'd go on this with the same way I did my pinch to zoom project some time ago - hacking the app's WndProc and when message for eg swipe gesture to change message comes, grab screen content, fade it, send the message through, fade in and all other messages meanwhile just normally send through.
But remember, this takes a lot of code and it is not worth it, it would just slow down the WM itself.
Thanks, a lot, for replying.
I really want to look into this for some reason. So if you say it's possible...
I was also wondering if it's possible to catch all windows' close events...
I have a question that would seemingly be simple to answer, but it's proving to be quite perplexing. I've searched everywhere but have been unable to find a solution or any reference to this issue whatsoever. I even called AT&T, and AT&T technical support didn't know what to do.
Basically, I notice that, whenever I receive a text message, take a screenshot, or any other action really, a pop-up message appears in a dark-grey box at the bottom of the screen. For a text message, it will read: "SMS Received: <Then the Content of the Message>." When I take a screenshot, a notification (at the bottom of the screen) will appear that reads: "Copied to Clipboard." These notifications are intrusive and annoying because they slow down the other operations of the phone. Everything else gets delayed. So if I'm in a texting conversation with someone, my reply to said person is delayed while the phone displays a notification at the bottom of the screen. I can't type my response while this action is taking place. Please note that this notification at the bottom of the screen is in addition to the notification that occurs in the status bar at the top of the phone.
I have searched everywhere in the phone settings for a reference to this feature and, in turn, a way to turn it off; but I have been unsuccessful. Can anyone please tell me how to turn off this troublesome notification feature?
Attached to this request, I have included a screenshot to illustrate the matter to which I'm referring. Please notice that, at the bottom of the screenshot, the words "Copied to Clipboard" are displayed. This is the pop-up that occurred after I had taken a screenshot of the home screen. Thank you for whatever assistance you may be able to provide.
