Modify original rom to add default android applications
Good afternoon, I have my lenovo TB-X605L tablet and I would like to know how I could create a copy of my rom with pre installed programs, so that every time the rom is formatted or restored it is the same but with the programs that I add pre installed.
Thank you very much for your help

Backup Programs

I am looking for a program that will reinstall all my programs and settings after I flash my phone. Anybody have any ideas so I don't have to do them all oer and over again one by one.
If you are using a custom rom, they almost all support UC (read the first post on any of DCD's roms and he has a link to UC.
If you are running a stock rom, check out Sashami, it's a tool that will autorun from your SD card and then either auto or with minimal interaction reinstall all of your apps, patch registry, copy files, and many other things. It's the most customizable, however I still prefer UC for it's more professional looking format. Just wish it had all the features of Sashami.

[Question] How to backup complete ROM FROM HD2?

Hello,
I'm sorry if I shouldn't post this here, but I think this is the right place.
Please, is there any solution how to make complete ROM image from my tweaked HD2? I've installed official ROM (1.48), changed some registry settings, installed some programs and now I want to put this tweaked ROM to another HD2 mobile.
Thank you very much!
yes, use spb backup, it makes a full backup, custom backup or scheduled backup of anything. I am using it and its verry good at what it does.
Thanks.
SPB backup can backup the full ROM and anything else (all programs, registry tweaks, localization) and recovery that to another phone, totally from scratch?: )
yes SPB backup can backup the full ROM and anything else (all programs, registry tweaks, localization) and restore that, but if that other phone is a different brand i dont know how the backup will solve compatibility issues regarding registry or 3rd party settings.
I don't think so
My (official) ROM had 180MB, then I installed some programs and SPBBackup has now only 80MB. So I think SPBBackup doesn't backup all the windows files.
I need a tool, which can create image (LEOIMG.nbh) for use with CustomRUU.exe on another HTC HD2.
i guess i misunderstood your point, in this case you'll have to use some cooking rom utilities, see Rom thread for this. sorry.
Anyway, thank you.
I take it that you want to clone the device?! As long as you are using two identical devices (i.e. two HTC HD2's) SpriteClone could be your answer. Try here: http://www.spritesoftware.com/products/sprite-clone
Hope this helps.

Best HTC HD2 backup tool + best ROM + best tabs editor

Just wanted you to know in case you will need it in the future. I was looking for an easy to use and effective backup tool and I came across SPB Backup which is simply great as it creates an EXE file with the backup of all your content (contacts, programs, registry keys, messages, etc.) - if you flash your ROM or you move to a new HD2 all you have to do is copy the EXE file onto your device (or storage card) and run it and... that's all . I was playing a lot with some custom ROMs lately and this little tool saved me a lot of time. Really great soft - just make sure that if you move to a completely different firmware you might need to restore only soma data but it's so user friendly that it shouldn't be a problem, there are also restore profiles (new ROM, new device, etc.) so it's automatic. Here's a like to the producer's website: http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/backup/ - just don't think it's an advertisement or smth as I have nothing to do with them - it's just a great piece of soft imho so I thought it was worth sharing.
I also think this is thebest ROM (closest to stock) - Leo lite 2.10/1.66 base: http://ip208-100-42-21.static.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=621070&highlight=576 - I just added Cookie's Home Tab Editor, a great tool that let's you add new tabs to your home screen etc. - you'll find it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633590. Here's a great video: http://www.youtube.com/v/aqOINVb5YNI
Hi
will it allow you to restore your original ROM
if yes how it can write on the read only memory without breaking the rom protection. How it can write on the read only memory.
Best regards
no it won't install rom..only your phone files, make sure you have a stock rom for your phone, usally the provider will have a update rom to download, download it , install it then backup your phone, if you have to resore your phone you have to install rom the run your backup restore

Batch installation and update of settings

Hi,
I'm looking for a bit of help with this if possible, basically at work, i have to constantly setup a load of HTC P6500 devices all running on windows mobile 6.1.
On each device I have to install certain programs from an sd card and update quite a few system settings.
Is there any way this can be done with a batch file perhaps, that would install all the software and update all the settings I need it to?
"XDA UC" could be what you are looking for, but it needs to be cooked in into WM.
I think there already is such a machanism in WM, but I don't really remember it's name...
.cab
make a .cab which has all the programs and settings.
maybe RunCC is in your ROM...
thanks for the help everyone, managed to get around this using SPB backup trial which let me essentially clone the device, and restore this back to the rest.
