It is about that promotion / collaboration between Fortnite and OnePlus.
On this website.. oneplus . c o m / uk / fortnite / emote ( without any spaces ) if you own and verify your phone via IMEI and PCB code, it generates a unique code (a funny indian dance) to be used inside the Fortnite game.

I got a code right here, but what kind of proof the code worked, and you're not selling them?

why in the world i would sell that code when this is free... if you want me to pay for your code, say it, and if it is not much... i will...
anyway it based on trust , honesty and not on money,
it is no problem if you don't "gift" me /my son ..the code.
the only thing i can try to do, is to record a video with him imputing that code and redeeming it on his account on Xbox.
and i can do this on monday when we are gonna be back home from a " small weekend vacation " and we are not near to the Xbox console to prove it to you..
i guess it is fair enough to let me know what you want from me and then the code...
then again... you can help me make a kid happy or not.. i am not begging or forcing anyone.. ( I AM NOT SELLING A FREE CODE... I AM NOT STUPID )

I'm not selling it. I simply asked what form of proof you may of had you didn't sell the other code. I don't mind giving it to you for free, on the condition it is going to the cause listed.
What I asked for was proof that the code the other person sent didn't work, or moreso, they did not respond to you. Perhaps a screenshot of these PMs are in order?

I do agree in part of your comment, but spelling errors can be due to another language. These are arguably common mistakes. I do think if a promo was announced, we should have a dedicated thread for it, at best. I arguably don't think it's the individual users that are the problem, so much as we do not have a set process for this. There is no harm in asking, and worst case is a no.

I'm just getting sick of seeing this wherever I go (OnePlus related forums/chats).
I have seen at least 500 people get banned from different platforms, just creating an account / joining a server / forum solely to beg for a code and sometimes making up all sorts of stories.

Sim Lock is when you buy a phone from T-Mobile and try to put a At&t sim in the t-mobile phone and it will not work.
Sim Unlock is when you have a phone you bought from t-mobile and unlocked the sim. Then you put a at&t sim card in the phone and it works. you can call on at&t networks if you have a at&t sim.
basicly allows a t-mobile only phone to work on any sim network.

What I consider impolite, is trying to use this forum for free advertising. If tupisdin wants to advertise his paid sim-unlock service, then he should pay for advertising, either on this site or elsewhere.
There is a word, for people trying to use discussion groups such as this one, for free advertising. That word is called SPAM! (Exception--forums specifically for the purpose of buying and selling used equipment, etc.) A lot of Usenet discussion groups have become totally ruined by spam.
Tupisdin spammed this board with this thread, and I do not appreciate that. I would suggest that the board owners delete this thread immediately.(Perhaps also remove his ability to send and receive PMs.)

YESSS - T-Mobile WILL give you the SIM unlock code
Just call them - I just did - and tell them you will be traveling and may need to use the phone on another network - they emailed me the code in about 1.5 hours!
So I went to do a web chat with sprint to see if I could get my MSL, they told me they would only give it to me if I paid $70 for it. That is crazy.

Maybe they were just trying to discourage you from getting it? Who knows. I've never had any issues with just asking for it outright. "Hey, I need my MSL please." and the answer has always been "OK, here it is..."
Though I've heard that the general directive is to not give it to you unless you need it for activation.

CDMA Workshop seems to work fine on 32-bit versions of Windows Vista and Windows 7, so that's another option if you misplace it and don't want to hassle with calling or chatting again.

How many numbers should an MSL be? And is there a way to make sure the MSL they gave me is correct. My rep seemed less than competent and it took a fight to get the MSL. I'd just like to make sure she gave me the one for my phone and not a different phone on my account.
you guys should just use CDMAworkshop. its as simple as dialing the code to enter diagnostic mode (##DIAG#), plugging teh phone in, and reading the msl with teh read spc option. Google for more information.

For French Operator you have to go through Factory Code and not possible through the Operator.

Well EBAY is definitely secure but according to ferraripassion you need to get it from your operator, I have no idea about that..!!!
Well just send a mail to any of those ebay sellers & tell them on which operator is your phone locked to & ask if it can be unlocked..!!!

I sent about $20 USD to http://www.mobileunlocked.co 2 days ago.
I immediately got one email telling me that instead of 5 minutes, it'd take 30 minutes!
That was the last communication I have received and I have gotten NO response from several emails sent to them in the mean time!

This is a disgrace. Anyone who exploits the hard work and unwaged development of Android/Linux on the Hd2 should know that you are only doing the community harm by discouraging devs to continue progress. You basically stole their knowledge and are hawking it off as yours. Disguisting.

I just filed a report against the item as being copyright infringement.

i think the best way to fix this is for everyone to file a simple report of violation of android GPL. and intellectual property.

Time for the Mod's to get involved and sort this matter out, reported it to e-bay but they aren't really going to do anything which is sad, but the mods here can!
Unbelievable! Just out of curiosity I did a search for "HTC HD2 Android" on eBay and there are several other no-conscience sellers peddling instructions on how to install Android. Outrageous! One seller "alpleco" out of Long Island has sold over 600+ of these instructions at almost $2 each.
There's just no shame!
ok i dont see why people are having such a hard time obtaining these serial codes i have done it 3 different time....u make up a a legit email one that you will never use go to microsoftdotcom go all the way to the buttom click contacts us choose the chat method click on product sales and general inquire or some like that its the first option.....chat box will open type in fake name that secondary email and just put that you bought a phone either craigslist or ebay and you need the serial code in order to create a live account they will ask for your name and number those can be fake use your ex's if you have to...they will generate a code and voila! there you go...not rocket science......to prove i have a code here if anyone wants it be the first one to reply to this....

dont worry i woulnt dare...for two reasons...1)dont want some lawsuit my way lol 2) its free...so no reason why i should profit from it....just like my little side prodjects i do here at home....i post craigslist post up for anyone that wants to make a drive up to my house ill root their android device free of charge...yeah some actually donate 5 bucks here 10 there but other then that i dont ask for anythig...takes up 10 mins of my life that i was already planning on wasting on nothing so no worries on that
