Hi guys, i have this Huawei P10 Lite (no brand) that is stuck on
Firmware Version : NRD90M test-keys.
Sadly I cannot update :crying:, the system version is
Nougat 7.0 with security patches of 5th July of 2017.
In 2017, i bricked that phone ‘cause i installed a wrong firmware (with TWRP), then i installed a firmware that now i cannot remember and i got the service rom. I wanna know if there is a way to upgrade the firmware (the boot loader is unlocked) to an official one. The recovery installed is the stock one, eRecovery
Thanks.
P.S.
please help me now because i’m stuck in this situation and i cannot update since 2017 ?

Try HWOTA
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10-lite/development/hwota-huawei-p10-lite-t3776186
Get suitable firmware from Huawei firmware finder... And follow the procedure, this should work, did for me too in similar stupid situation!

i have huawei p8 model number GRACE GRA-C900B370 marshmallow and i have been trying to downgrade with no luck, the battery life is horrible on this android version.
i downloaded the OS and extracted the dload file and all and when it starts updating it doesn't go past 5%.
any help would be appreciated.
Apparently, 'great battery improvement' with the latest B380 (can update from B370): [Firmware][Leak]Huawei P8 B380 - GRA-L09C432B380
Have you tried it?
Hi, what have you decided to do in the end?
If you still want to downgrade, what have you tried so far? To which version & build number do you want to downgrade?
When you say "i downloaded the OS", which version & build number are you referring to & where did you download it from?
Hello Everyone,
I had a P10 plus dual sim VKY-AL00C00B152, Emui 5.1 with 7.0 nougat.
I did the rebranding via funky huawei with this firmware : VTR-L09C432B152 and VKY-L29C432B152
However, the model number became : D189-L29 and the build number is NRD90M test-keys.
There is no option to upgrade this firmware via the phone.
How do I get back to EMUI 5.1 with 7.0 nougat with an European Version of P10 plus Dual version ?
If possible, with HiSuite/HiCloud since all of my contacts info is on the cloud.
Thank you very much for this precious help.
Ldes.
You may find the answer in this thread somewhere https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/guide-mate-9-flash-update-package-t3593108
My understanding is that if you ended up with "NRD90M test-keys" then something went wrong with the oeminfo/cust change from the original to the new cust (C432) version. I may be wrong though.
It should be noted that VTR-L09 is for the P10, not the P10 Plus, so that may be the source of your problem too.

this is correct.
you only get EMUI 3.1 and NRD90M test-keys when the updated stuffed up. you will need to reflash the update via HWOTA.

About a year ago a did a rollback on my Huawei P9lite from Android 7.0 to 6.0. Now i want to update it back to the latest version available.
The phone won't do it automatically and I also can't find the right package online to do it manually. Does anyone have some advice on how to do this?
The current build is VNS-L31C900B160 (It also used to be C432 for europe instead of C900)
The phone hasn't been tampered with aside from the rollback.
Thanks in advance
Jenson
Will a factory reset help? Or will I still be stuck on C900?
My phone had to be repaired last week, and the Huawei repair service changed everything in the phone except for the backplate.
However, I am now stuck with emui 4.1.2 in firmware VNS-L31 C432 B226, and i can't find a replacement firmware for the system.
The phone shows no update available in stock.
I have TWRP and magisk installed atm, just so i could try and get a different firmware with emui 5.1 or 5.0 at least, which I did to no avail.
Is there any way to find the correct firmware compatible with this phone?
Googling this firmware gives me no clues as to the correct path to updating this phone.
Should i use an adb/fastboot command prompt to update it, or use the dload method, or even the extract the SYSTEM.img from UPDATE.app method?
I just don't want to revert to an "earlier" version of the firmware with the dload method just to have my phone bricked.
These are the firmware i tried already:
[TO BE UPDATED]
TL/DR:
I have a Huawei P9 Lite repaired to a stock:
Firmware: VNS-L31 C432 B226
EMUI: 4.1.2
in Portugal.
I want to know a compatible firmware or series of firmware patches so i can get
Firmware: VNS-L31 C432 Bxxx
EMUI: 5.xx
Thank you for your time.
Hello,
it's strange that with an unbranded european firmware your phone didn't upgraded to android 7....
Anyhow i never done a forced upgrade but if i were you i wil try with HWOTA update, like explained in this thread.
So first make all your necessary backups, then unroot and finally follow the guide to upgrade.
P.S.: If your phone is dual sim try install B370, if single sim try with B371.
All the best

I tried a bunch of firmwares for emui 5.1 that didn't work, or which had NFC and bluetooth not working. I ended up downgrading to B160, and am now reupgrading to B370 after checking that both of the previously mentioned are working properly. I will update on this issue asap.
Also, it seems like the firmware I originally had was updated in march 2018, so it was really an updated official firmware with emui 4.1. What a weird setup. Could it be to make sure the NFC and bluetooth would be working? I just don't know...

I did it and it worked, however i flashed the recovery partition of version VNS-L31C432B380 with TWRP and now can't do a OTA update to B388.
Should I extract the recovery img from a b380 FULLOTA update and flash it to my recovery partition with fastboot?

Hey,
surely without stock recovery OTA updates won't work,
so yes try flash it with fastboot, then update to the latest/wanted firmware and finally unlock bootloader,
flash custom recovery and root (even if wanted).
Best regards
