On which ROM? anyway, don't flash rom/kernel every 1 or 2 days, just stick to one rom you like and keep using that for a week in the hope of getting better battery life. Changing rom on daily basis is not good for your device and battery. Thx.

[HELP] Batt SG2 and iPhone4 - Please

Hello:
I bought a Galaxy S2 , (i had an Iphone 2) .
I already flash several times with diferent roms.
Yesterday i flashed with cognition 2.3.4 and during the night 40 % of bat gone...
No push mail
Justt stand by.
I need to decide , i love the phone but i need battery..1 day its enough...( 18 hours) if i keep the SG2 or buy another Iphone4
Please help me :
Whats your best combination for kernel , rom , and modem...i dont care if its 2.3.4 or 2.3.3. Just Want some more battery.
Thanks in advance.
My best regards
Luis.

Stock , or custom rooted ? Where can i find ?
Or this is just the modem ?
Im newbie in android....sorry
Villain 1.4 good battery life .
Multiple flashing of roms degrades battery life unless you reset battery stats and give the battery time to readjust + 80 %of battery drain is user apps /rogue aps constantly trying to connect /wake phone .
jje
I reset the bat every time that i do a flash when reach 100 %
Thanks
Villain 1.4 includes de modem ?
L
No idea if it has a German modem sorry .

all stock
like brand new when u get a new phone
u can get pure stock roms from here
http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-i9100.htm

WOW.....your device is so hard work, but I would like to know you whether open the auto-sync?! you can download the app for Juicedefender or Green Power to control the data/ Wifi, it can save power.
I use Lite'ning V1.5 and use Juicedefender for my Galaxy S II, it can work for 2 days for one charge
stock KF3 works great for me. You shouldn't need a special ROM to get decent battery time.
What is the display on time when the battery is getting close to empty? That tells a lot how you use the phone.
In the past i got a lot of Screen 65 %
Now android ios is taking 45 %....

Ok...3 years of iphone...
Btw what is your best rom regarding power consuption ?
Must admit the battery on this SGS2 is a bit of a pain.
It takes all day to charge from 20% to FULL then about half a day to drain back to about 20%...
my Iphone 4 I have just sold, would charge up to full in a couple of hours and last all day.
I am doing pretty much the same things

Litening rom 1.5
Dont forget to remove all the junk stuff (hubs, etc.)
Use tegrak overclock and undervolt
result for me= after 12 hours with medium usage still 60% left

i will help save you some headache, the SGS2 will never get quite as good battery life as the iphone 4 does. you may be able to improve it, but it will never match the IP4 unfortunately. it sucks i know.

im also using tegrak. just search in his thread to get some values that fit your phone.
aditionaly i am using juice defender wich is a great app. i have set it to enable (while in sleep) data every 30 min to sync mails and stuff. when you unlock your phone it always enables data automaticly. thats enough for me and battery lasts way longer. just give it a try...

use g3mod kernel v 1.2.4 or 1.3.4 it will be better
use battery callibrator app available in the market
If it happens badly with the stock Rom and kernel, it is time to buy a new battery.

Same problem for me too "my phone gets switched off when i am talking on the phone for more than 20 min" i went to samsung care for this problem, first time they said this could be a software problem and they flashed a new firmware and gave it to me the problem was not solved then i went the second time this time they said that it was a mother board problem and they changed it gave it to me yesterday i.e on 17.12.11 now still i have the same problem. i dont know what to do now i think i will take it tomorrow again

Problem: Screen doesn't turn back on until soft reset

I have this problem where my phone's screen (Nexus 4) goes black due to inactivity but but I am unable to turn the screen back on until I do a soft reset (ie, hold down power button for 30 secs). I read that this was an issue on Galaxy Nexus but have not heard of a solution for it. Has anyone else had this issue and figured out a solution? Thanks.
i get this same issue and a friend of mine who has one also does . . i'm running the newest build of zylon got the nexus the first week of release tried switching roms kernals etc. still get the issue . . havn't found any test to duplicate it but it happens atleast 3 times a day randomly.. weird stuff for sure
edit. i even tried asking my friend to give me a call when it did it yesterday and it rings all the way through but my phone doesn't turn on or ring
rom / kernel ?
u guys might want to switch the kernels..what you are getting is a SOD...or sleep of death...its mostly due to heavy UVs..so change the kernels...perhaps use stock ones..as they are mostly the best..!

First of all - congratulations and best wishes. :good:
Now about your topic.
There is no concept of "Best " regarding to custom rom (atleast I think so). It may depends on your need and choice.
But as an user I can share my opinion with you. If you have the Exynos version of S7 Edge, you may try this one (any version you like) :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/development/android-nougat-7-0-beta-1-rom-test-t3498664
I`m using this rom for long time and it`s really an excellent rom and I`m using it as my daily driver (V.12.2). This is stable, smooth. You may try this one with the Stock kernel or TGP Or super kernel ( as mentioned in earlier post) Or any other kernel for your device ( it`s upto you).
But first you should read the instructions carefully before flashing and obviously at your own risk.

I`m using Official Nougat Rom (V.12.2 ) by ambasadii with stock kernel and with no battery saving apps or options.
My usages is more or less as same as you. Though I`m not using facebook.
Actually I`m also not satishfied with the battery life (5 - 5.30 h. of sot). I`ve got a little bit extra SOT than you (sorry, uploading the screenshots is not working properly. It says some network issue. ).
I`ve just installed the Greenfy app and activated. Let`s see, what will happen.
If it will not work, then may be I`ll switch over some other version or pure stock.
BTW, It`s interesting. Want to flash this one again. Have a look :

About charging time

Guys I'm on official miui 9 and the charging time is insane. I've tried my brothers sony charger but same problem low charging speed. It takes 5 to 6 hours for full charge. Though there is no loose connection in USB port and even file transfer is as fast as of when cable was new no interruption at all. I don't know if xiaomi is stepping on apple footsteps does it injecting any issues to make us force to buy new device. I've experiencing this problem since the miui 9 launch. I tried both global stable and global developers roms but no change. could you guys please share your experiences or work around for this issue.
