If you have a computer simply plug your device into it
open a terminal and type
Code:
adb shell cmd overlay enable com.android.internal.systemui.navbar.gestural
Note: it's not a full implementation
Since it's only will give Q gestures
But animations will still based on stock launcher.
If you want full implementation you have to be rooted, then download and flash quickswitch.

Is there a way to get the trebuchet launcher from CM on the stock samsung firmware? I don't mind waiting for a CM port if/when it happens, but i really miss the trebuchet launcher. Is there an APK somewhere i could sideload?
I've tried the bazooka launcher (a clone that's in the play store)...it's just not the same.
Have you tried or is it possible to pull the launcher apk from the custom rom?
There seems to be an apk here for it you can try or if someone with the device would like to test

Why not give Nova a try? It's built on the same open source code as Trebuchet, and it has many additional features and options. You can find it on the Play Store.

Nova is all I've ever used. Grabbed the paid version when it was being offered for free I think.
@mattdm
He asked where to get trebuchet. Not for other options. If you don't have an answer, then don't answer. When we want nova launcher we will ask.
Straight from our 5/30 build: http://www.2shared.com/file/aQDpjDJr/Trebuchet.html?
1) download
2) install like any other app (no root required)
3) press home button
4) make trebuchet your default launcher
5) enjoy

Is the Paranoid Android Pie Controls (expanded desktop mode) open sourced and installable on other ROMS? I love PA's ROM mainly for that function but I also would like the stock LG apps such as the LG quick remote and wireless transfer. or does anyone know of a way to get them to work with PA. I tried extracting the APK files. no luck installing or moving to system/app. Also tried the ZIP file i found too with no luck.
Download LMT (somewhere on xda hahaha).
It's not COMPLETELY pie but it looks darn similar

The rom has to based on LG's framework in order for the LG specific apps to work. You will have to use LMT to get PIE like functionality on the stock rom.

crap I was afraid of that. I wasnt too impressed with LMT. im not sure what it is but it just doesnt seem as smooth as PA built in version
So I'm about to do a full wipe to change my custom ROM to factory 5.0 and I was wondering if LMT pie controls is working correctly on lollipop since I been unable to find anything about anyone running that app on the new android version.

Is there any way to dark theme the stock Nougat dialer. It's very harsh on the eyes. I have seen standalone dialers and flashable ones....any other choices?
Thanks!

If you are rooted, you can use substratum theme.
But theming Google apps is a nightmare.

With the Andromeda add-on you don't need root to work with substratum. Just run an ADB command to grant permissions

Works fine on my essential phone running oreo. Do you get an error of any sort
OK...no more Nougat. Now I'm on 8.1 so Hoe the hell do I get rid of the nasty bright blue dialer without resorting to an entire them or adding substratum?

Might just be the theme you're using then. Sometimes some components fail on some themes. You usually have to reboot after compiling the theme and then run Andromeda again and enable the themes after the reboot

See there is lots of options
I m giving you one
Use substratum with andromeda.
You must have both apps - substratum is free, andromeda is paid. To activate rootles mode you need to run PC script (phone is connected via adb and appos command is used).

I'm using this theme, it's amazing.

This works rootless/without root so only thing u need to do is update to oreo, and do this from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-6/how-to/guide-oreo-follow-steps-t3723776
Follow all the steps carefully
After that install those apps that i provided you, they work in oreo only
