Hi,
This morning I wanted to factory reset the phone and flash the latest version, but to my surprise I do not have the Download mode anymore, but I have the standard fastboot screen, wtf ?
EDIT : using "adb reboot download" worked. "adb reboot bootloader" goes fastboot and "adb reboot fastboot" goes into a reboot.

It all changed during an update tbh. One day I could adb reboot bootloader, and land on the download mode, and now I just get fastboot.

Power the phone off then with the cable plugged into the phone, keep volume button pressed and plug the other end of the cable into PC or Laptop.

Mate clearly you not doing it properly. Ensure you phone is powered off then plug the USB-C into to it. Next, with the volume button depressed plug the said other end of the cable into a laptop/PC. The phone should then power up with a blue screen, press the volume up.

Hello all,
I'm in a jam here and hoping one of you can help me out.
The power button on my Moto X Pure Edition, which is not rooted, has stopped working completely. The battery died overnight and, obviously, the phone powered off. Now I can't turn it back on. I'd like to get it turned on or at least get my personal data off of it. Does anyone have any ideas?
I have figured out how to get it into AP Fastboot Flash Mode by holding down the Volume Up & Volume Down buttons simultaneously while plugging it into a power source. But, I cannot select "START" (or anything else) from Fastboot because my power button doesn't work.
Hoping I can figure out how to do this without taking apart the phone, which will void my warranty and probably won't result in me being able to fix it anyway.
Thanks so much for your help!

Do you have fastboot installed on your computer? If you do then issue the following command : fastboot reboot
Your phone will now start up.
If you don't, install it. You will have to research how to do it for your system. I'm on Arch Linux, so won't know how to help you, but there will be a google guide.

Thank you for the suggestion. Got fastboot installed (used this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48915118#post48915118) but it doesn't appear to be recognizing my device. See attached image. Still working on it.

Hilarious. After an hour of fumbling around I figured out the USB port I had the phone plugged into was bad. Plugged it into one on the other side of the computer, recognized, rebooted, good to go.

Hello everyone,
I have a problem, i got a Samsung Galaxy A3 (SM-A300FU) wich is fallen on the ground this resulted in a dead lcd and touch screen, the device is locked with a pincode, i allready got a new phone, but i would like to recover the files i got on that phone, is there anny way i could try?
- USB-debugging is DISABLED
- Tried a Delock connection kit 5 in 1 with HDMI (The phone plings as soon as i connect the HDMI to to connection kit, but it doesnt give signal)
- Samsung Kies software reconises the phone, but it cant access it because its locked.
If there is anny way that i could recover the data partically its also fine.

Bumb - Need help :crying:
1. Flash TWRP through download mode. - power down with Power + Volume Down (emulates battery removal), wait a few second, boot in to Download Mode with Power + Home + Volume Down. Odin should show a COMx (x for number) sign and a green color on the slot. MAKE SURE YOU UNTICK AUTO-REBOOT, or else the stock recovery will reflash itself.
2. Access Phone via ADB recovery - After flashing the TWRP, power down again with Power + Volume Down and boot in to Recovery Mode with Power + Home + Volume Up.
You should now be able to "adb pull" files from the phone to the computer.
Minimal ADB & Fastboot
TWRP for A300FU (Odin included)
Please Debrick img For A300F , ?

hi all,
I have done all the steps but the TWRP gives me a message of "unmodified sysetm partition", I can not see well from the broken screen but it seems to me this:

}
obviously, due to the broken screen, I can not swipe, my pc recognizes and installs the smartphone drivers but if I run the command "adb devices" I do not see any connected any device.
Is it the fault of the swype I can not do? if there is an alternative to the swype to get over this screen?
thanks.

This worked for me on previous models but I haven't tested it on the G4 but hopefully it will still work.
Plug in the charger and long press the volume down key simultaneously.
There you will get the options screen for normal reboot, reset etc.
You can use the volume down key to scroll and the volume up to select.
It takes a little timing but if you do them at exactly the same time it should work.

That's bootloader screen,
You need PC and Fastboot installed on your PC,
Then run "fastboot reboot" command and it will start. (search general threads to know about fastboot setup and how to do it.)
"fastboot reboot emergency" works for me.

Where can I find where to download PC and Fastboot for my computer?
I'm unable to turn on my phone because the power button is broken and my battery has drained out. I tried the technique where I hold the charager in place and press the down portion of the volume button. Which option is best to select for me to turn on my phone?
Use a pin. I have my volume buttons broken. And there's some gap and I can push the pin in this area and it works fine. You can try the same with power button
I found the fix, I turned on my Moto G4 without a power button plus it was completely off.
1. Connect your USB Cable to the computer.
2. You have to put the charger & hold the volume down key at once. (Requires slight timing)
3. It will load you to the Fastboot Flash Screen Secure
4. Then manually install the ADB Driver, by going to Device Manager (Windows) right click > properties > update driver > select manually > select from list > click next > have disk > load the .inf driver file. You can get the Moto G4 driver online e.g. Google USB Drivers.
5. Install ADB Minimal & Fastboot then open it.
6. Type fastboot devices to see your device there.
7. Now type fastboot reboot
That's it.
If you face an error of bootloader slot not found, please use Minimal ADB Version 1.4 and do the process again.

Hello guys,
I tried to update my phone to Nougat and I guess I totally failed.
First I just tried to flash this rom: https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/development/rom-purefusionos-official-t3670580 and it did not work. So I thought I might have to update the firmware first and installed the A2017UV1.1.0B32 NOUGAT Update from this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/development/rom-guide-updates-to-stock-files-via-t3469484. I found out I had to flash (with TWRP) the firmware's G version so I took the A2017G_N_Modem.zip from this https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=148464.
Now I only get the "your device software can't be checked for corruption. Please lock the bootloader".
Can somehow help me and tell me if and how I can get a rom working again?
Thanks in advance.
Check forum. There are topics to unbrick your device.
Yes, I read the forums. My Problem is that I cannot enter the EDL mode for example. When I git Power + Vol Up + Vol down nothing happen except a shot red LED.
EDIT: I cannot get into fastboot aswell.. Always that screen with lock your bootloader. Pretty much the only mode I can enter is recovery with TWRP.

When led blinked you are on EDL mode. Screen is black on edl mode.
Yeah I got that an now i completely **** up -.-
I made it to go back to stock. I saw yeah got that B10 version now so I tried to flash PureFusionOS and Beans GApps. Now the screen is just black when I start the phone and my computer (and one other I tested) cannot flash the the edl version via Miflash because the phone is not recognized.
When I try to enter EDL the led is not blinking anymore. Its just showing red.

My device will only boot up when it is connected to a power source and after a few minutes of being plugged up it will stop charging and turn on
I recently flashed my device and after flashing, the touch screen will not work.
I have been trying to fix it for a while but I think the problem is i cannot get it to charge at all, so if anyone knows how to make it charge without booting up, please let me know and what i am trying to do is use fastboot to flash another rom that works on my device but i can't because it says Low Battery is this why?

Booting from AP fastboot to charging mode
If the Device will only boot to AP Fastboot and it says Battery Low
Connect the phone/Device ato a Wall Charger (not PC)
-In AP Fastboot Mode hold Volume down& power buttons at the same time for +10 seconds
- When screen goes black...release power button
-Then IMMEDIATELY press and hold Vol - and Vol+ to boot to Boot Menu.
- In Boot Menu scroll down with volume down to BP Tools, press volume up to select
- Device should boot to Charging Mode with battery icon
- Once battery is charged, try flashing in AP Fastboot again
This will only work if battery charging Firmware is still preset and not corrupted
If Motorola Device will not boot to Charging Mode, a Fastboot cable will be needed.
What is a Fastboot Cable
