Lost Widevine after Android 11 DP - OnePlus 8 Pro Questions & Answers

So I flashed the Android 11 Developer preview and after a few days I went back to Android 10 using the official packages provided by Oneplus. My device seems fine and everything is working as expected BUT today I noticed my Widevine is set to L3.
I never unlocked my bootloader or rooted the device just ran a test drive on Android 11 DP.
Can anyone tell me how to get back to L1?
Edit: I forgot to mention I did loose some basic stuff like Oneplus Widget / Weather and Hydrogen pictogram package after going back to Android 10

Not sure what the issue is, I did similar with EU firmware but 11 dropped my DRM to 3 but when I rolled back and upgraded back to 10.5.9 it was back to 1.
There are certain models that dropped to L3 when they upgraded to an earlier update, may have been as far back as 10.5.6.
An update to fix this was due to be released before the end of June but nothing came.

Really now! I think I won't be updating my OP8 next time (even to stable version) without being sure that they fixed this issue or at least have a way to easily solve this mess.

If you use the firmware from the OP community thread for Android 11 then it should install L1 provided that you had it still on .8 firmware.

To be honest I also got scared for the updates, figured I won't flash first minute and just wait to see what others share after updating.

Last update OS 10.5.10 (EU) fixed the Widevine issues, I'm back to L1 again.

I've lost my widevine L1 certification after 11.0.1.1 update. PLEASE HELPPP

I updated my op8p rom to 11.0.7.7.
Netflix widevine is still set to L1.

Simcard not recognized after downgrading from Pie to Nougat or Oreo

Hi all,
I’d would really appreciate some comments or suggestions on how to solve following problem.
I bought an Essential phone on ebay this week (Sprint “unlocked”), and it came with Android 9 Pie. I initially put a simcard from an operator here in my country and it worked fine.
Due to work reasons I need the phone to be rooted with Android 7.1.1 Nougat (compatibility issue with a software used for testing celullar networks), so as a first step I flashed one of the Nougat images available in Essential’s website. This wasn’t a problem since I had already done this procedure with other Essential phones.
After successfully flashing Nougat, when I inserted back the simcard the phone did not recognize it. I upgraded back to 9.0, and the simcard was working again. The same happened when I downgraded to Oreo for testing.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how could I proceed to solve this issue? I really need it to run Nougat.
Thank you in advance for your feedback!
Make sure you unlocked the critical partitions, that's needed for the full image to flash and produce a fully functioning device, else there may be incompatibilities in the radio/modem/hardware/bootloader.

You need to do a full wipe of the data when going backwards.
There is some setting hanging around that is not compatible.
I have seen this also

Still on Build number: NPN25.137-33 (Brand New Handset) XT1687 - Need Advice

Greetings devs and members:
I have recently begun using a Moto G5 Plus (XT1687 - N. American SKU) that was never updated (due to being in a drawer someplace).
I know that many things have been unlocked and improved by the devs for this particular handset. My question is simply this:
How should I update it? Should I update it?
Should I go OTA (retus) (currently blocking), or should I bypass everything and go directly to Oreo (using the update file, after a factory reset and such)?
Or, hell should I stick with Nougat right now? It seems that lots of folks are having issues, and I just wanted a more informed opinion.
Thank you.

To stay with Nougat is not a bad choice, it's a well working system.
If you want to get to Oreo just apply all the OTA updates until you're there. No need to do anything else if your device isn't rooted or the system has been tampered in any other way.
Both firmwares seem to work well.
If the phone is not rooted, then OTA updates are the easiest. Make sure the phone is fully charged or plug it in first. Go to about phone, go to check system updates, accept OTAs until it says up to date, which is likely be Oreo. If it stops at -18 the it may take a few days before the phone alters you to Oreo update.

Pie OTA update no longer available?

Hello.
So I got the pie ota about a week ago but I didn't update. It was available for a few days but now it is gone.
I'm still on October 5 version.
Phone is all stock - locked bootloader.
Anyone with the same issue? Was that supposed to be the official global rollout so everyone has it now?
Tried some googling but I can't find any similar reports.
Probably removed, had a lot of bugs. Dont worry

OPPO F1s Can't install Firmware updates.

Hey all sorry to bother you but I can't install the update for my OPPO F1s. System Update states it is the latest version although it isn't, when I press the "Features" button it says "No Version Info"
When I try to manually update through recovery it states the same thing. I haven't updated the phone before as it's never asked even though I bought it the week the OPPO F1s was released in Australia. As far as I can tell it (With my extremely limited knowledge) it seems as though I don't have an official stock rom on my phone although I've never tampered with it.
Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated as although not urgent it does worry me as I realised I may have bought a phone with some kinda of virus on it without realising and I've used it for a couple of years.
#UPDATE#
Turns out the firmware is oddly labelled but I figured out that the phone had been updated with stock 6.0 rom and the 5.1 rom has been updated since but the 6.0 was considered beta, hence so feature info.
Tracked down the latest 6.0 update I could find and installed it and BAM phone is back to normal with the plus-side of having a clean install. Sorry to bother you all with this.
Which firmware you have installed?
A1601EX_11.A.37_20190227 is it this?
Oppo Customer Care (India) advised users of F1s that no OTA update for 6.0 would be pushed and anyone wishing to update will have to go to service centre. Did that and it seems they too have installed the beta 6.0 ROM which says no version info. Version number : A1601EX_11_D.102_170923 (Security Patch June 2017)
Apparently the stable 6.0 update available for Indian users is version : A1601EX_11.A.37_20190227. But I am not sure whether it will update through recovery. Will try and let you know
i know two years have passed but im facing the same problem and i cant find the latest update of 6.0, can you link me there?pls

T-Mobile OP8 11.0.1.3.IN55CB Update

This update just came out today. Patch notes state April security patch and "general" improvements. I installed it and surprise surprise, STILL no Always-On Display (AOD) 6 months after unlocked version got it. Lesson learned, never buying a carrier branded device again.
No issues with the update otherwise I take it?
This is why I finally did a bootloader unlock and flashed the international software. Now I'm on the beta have a more up to date security update and all the features.

It's as stable as any of the other Android 11 updates. Rarely it loses bluetooth connection to my car but it's been like that for me since the first Android 11 update. Launcher still stops responding for 15 seconds if I try to lock the screen right after disabling work profile. That's been a problem since the first Android 11 update too though.
