I just want to ask if anyone has the same problem with Youtube. Recently, I have a problem that if I want to play Full HD videos, in some cases they start to lag, even in HD quality. I have no idea if this is due to the Android version or the YouTube app. Do you know what can cause this and can it be repaired somehow?

I have a issue with going into full screen in YT. If I'm holding the device landscape and attempt to go into full screen, it will freeze and I'm unable to go back. However if I hold device portrait it works fine, and I'm able to put it into landscape while in full screen mode. I know it's no help.

Hi,
I have a problem with my X5 when it plays youtube videos (in HD or not)-I have not used it to watch other videos or movies-.When I rotate its screen horizontally, half the screen becomes white or green with some red lines and the other half plays the video normally.
I have installed the latest Flash player. Is this a hardware or software problem? Is it serious? I have DOA so I can send it back and get a new one.
What should I do?
I have taken a picture of my problem however I cannot post the link here because of the xda policy
me too. found that if you don't rotate the screen until the video starts playing its fine.
Never had this problem. What ROM are you running?
In the Build Number the last digits are B135SP02. So I guess am using B135.Am I right?
Yes right. I'm using 133 and have no problems.
Mine also has this problem on several rom versions (B135, B158, B160), with or without overclock.
I am using x5. Could there be any problem with the hardware?

Edit: i just saw that you are right. When the note is in cardock, the screen freezes when getting a call...
Out of the cardock and still in landscape mode (via apex launcher), the screen automatically turns to vertical mode (which is prevented in the dock).
So its definatly a problem with ICS. It seems it doesnt have a landscape callscreen! Hope they already know and fix that bug!

update
incmoing call still crash in landscape mode when usign the vehicle dock in N7000ZSLPF
I have seen multiple problems posted about issues with the various browsers crashing while viewing flash video and then switching to full screen mode.
I have found that ICS+ browser is the most stable. Also, I found a way to make it work 100% of the time.
The problem seems to stem from the fact that even though I have desktop mode enabled and flash set to run as "always on" this is not the case.
When you start a video you still have to "activate" flash by pressing somewhere within the video screen (I press on the slide bar) or you get a black/blank screen after switching to full screen and the browser becomes unresponsive. I have done this and videos have worked 100% of the time.
Just now I tried to play a video and forgot to activate flash on the screen and the video crashed (black/blank screen plus unresponsive browser) and I had to force a stop of the browser in the application tab under the settings menu. I then reloaded the same video, pressed on the screen (got a green flash) and switched to full screen no problem. So it seems the issue is with the flash player and not necessarily the browsers, the rom/kernal or tablet (hardware) itself. Don't know if this is just an issue with our device on ICS or if the problem exists on other devices as well.
Curious.
just thought I'd share my experience/discovery? for other to try out.
The back-light on my Desire HD screen randomly goes out, the screen is still on and if you look hard enough you can still see the image on the screen. If I put a little pressure on the screen, usually at the bottom by the HTC logo blow the menu button. it comes back on but often goes right back out if if I don't maintain the pressure.
Anyone know how to fix this? I'm guessing that it's just a little bit of soldering that's loose. I really don't want to get rid of this phone so any help would be great appreciated.
not that terrible
if you use your phone for a longer time you now without looking on it where the hardware keys are located so it is not that bad
just use your phone

What? I'm sorry but that makes no sense (no pin intended). How am I supposed to use the phone when you can't even see the screen?
I only get that when using my phone as a GPS with Google maps. It's frustrating. It also doesn't happen everytime, but it did yesterday.

Yeah it really sucks. I just tried a hard shell case hoping that would put enough pressure on the phone to stop this issue but it didn't work. I guess I've reached on the end of the line with my Desire HD. Sucks 'cause I really was looking forward to running ICS on it.
using google maps its normal that screen dims after some time and then screen turns off & auto locks ........
with no display
to turn on display have to use power button .
how ever not checked it in navigation mode ........
Anybody know of any Desire HD "tear down" guides online? Something to help guide in the taking about of the phone. I want to look inside and see if I can't find the loose connection and fix it.
Edit to add:
Found a pretty decent one on youtube

I notice this while trying to put it on my desk or one hand typing texts, it seems the auto rotate sensitivity is too high. Does anyone else have this issue? Is there some way to "turn it down" so you can turn the phone more before it auto rotates? I know I can turn it off, but I use it in Chrome and YouTube and probably couple more apps.
Thanks!

No issues here with it , guess you could set to landscape / portrait manually , few apps can do it in the play store

I've considered manually doing it, guess just being lazy. It just wants to rotate way too soon for me, it may be my posture or something causing it. Not a bad idea, maybe I can find a widget to easy swap manually.
I've noticed it too. Although I'll take that over too much lag in it rotating when I want

No doubt about that!! For me it's right on the cusp of no issues. May just need to hold the phone slightly different to correct it.
I saw Xposed was released for 6.0. Does anyone know of anything for it that would allow this sort of adjustment?

I thought Android 6.0.1 will solve it... But it didn't
Is this a hardware issue? I think not. Sensors data look fine. So I do think it is a software issue. Hoping Google will sort this out
Reported the issue to google

Yeah, I think so, too. I turned off autorotation. I found I like the experience better.
I too find it too sensitive. I used Tasker to limit the rotating on all except a few apps on my last phone but I haven't done it on this phone. You just made me think of it. I can't say yet that it will work. Worth a try.
I do not want to manually set the rotation every time I want to watch a video or a picture I just taken. This is silly.
The auto rotation works great on iphones & on previous Nexus devices. The experience is important.
If only there was an app that can bias the tilt sensitivity like there are apps for brightness sensitivity

Thanks for this, I added a comment in it and voted as well. I turn the screen rotation off when needed (like for Chrome use). Always forget to turn it back on till it rotates without wanting it too.
here is a quick video I did to illustrate the issue:

I'm gonna start a thread in Help/Q&A and post a reddit article I found that solved the issue for me. Using the device with one hand it would always rotate when I reached for the far corner and was bugging the hell out of me... The solution involves Tasker.
