I tried ADB before when trying to root a phone and it went badly because I found it so confusing. Does anyone know of a super simple way to flash android 10.0 or 9.0 onto this device? I have no experience in rooting so super simplistic answers would be very appreciated. Thank you.

I've just recently got into rooting/hacking androids. Ive read up quite a but on hire to do it and what to do. I recently tried too install Cyanogenmod 11 i follow all instruction and it installed but, Gapps wouldn't install at all. Do i need to unzip the file/files? Also when cm installed the screen was locked and no idea of what the pattern was:/ if someone can help me i would be greatly thankful.

hi, If you want me to help you i am going to need more information. Is your phone rooted? What recovery mode do you have?
to install cm 11 you must download the the version of cm11 for your phone and the Gapps

Hi guys! Got an A1 dirt cheap, and oh my god is it the perfect lovebaby from pure android and xiaomi design (cough apple cough).
I'm not completely new to rooting, flashing, etc. but there seems to be quite some difference between A1 and my old HTC 10, so I'd like to gather some info from you guys.
So, ideally I'd like to have/do this:
stick to stock rom and kernel, no issues there. also, staying on 8.0 is no problem, no need to upgrade to 9.0 whenever that comes around.
get TWRP going, so I can; get xposed and root
somehow keep netflix and snapchat going after root, now I know that rooted devices can't, but I'm hoping you guys know something I don't.
I'm used to rooting with SuperSU, no particular reason other than habit. I see a lot of magisk going around here, are there specific benefits to it? And why do we need to flash an .img for rooting, I could straight up root after unlocking bootloader on my HTC 10.

I can only provide you some info about magisk. People here tends to root with magisk maybe because its features. It can install mods systemlessly. You can google what is that. And basically for me, magisk is easy to use. We can find mods easily from Downloads section and manage mods with ease. And for me a custom ROM user, magisk its a must . And I never use xposed on a1 because when not careful enough it can make bootloop. No one like bootloop.
And yeah, Mi A1 is a beauty, especially the design (Cough apple cough) hahaha

I was wondering if it is possible to go back to the original stock rom from OnePlus 5.
I checked the OnePlus website, but they don't provide the stock rom no more.
I watched some YT videos and stuff, and most are about rolling back to 8.0
My phone is not rooted or whatsoever, so i am also looking for a root free rollback.

Hey, thanks for the post but this post goes for updating the OP5 To android 9.0.
I'm looking for a way to rollback from 9.0 to stock rom android or android 7.

I just wonder if its safe to just put the rom to my phone and push the update while i am on android 9.0 with locked bootload and no root. I do not like to break my phone

Hi, my wife give the other day an old lenovo b8000-f she had at her work. I't new with little use with use, but of course i can't be perfect i shas android 4.4.2, very old. I don't want to use it as a brand new modern tablet, but with android 4.4.2 i can use it for almost anything. Is there a rom to upgrade it, i already search and i can't find anything. I fanybody know some roms plese tell me.

Does anybody have a link to a custom ROM for a Lenovo B8000? Seen the instructions to install TWRP but don't see much point in doing that unless there's a ROM available.

I'm looking too. It seems such a shame to let an old decent tablet like this go to waste...
I have a rooted Snapdragon S8 (done by this method) and I want to install LineageOS (or any other non-samsung android build) onto it.
I have searched far and wide on this form an the internet and I have not been able to find a single custom ROM for the Snapdragon S8. Does anyone know of any of these ROMs that exist?
If they do not exist, would it be possible for me to make one? Is there a tutorial or resource to help me with this? I have a decent amount of experience with rather technical programming on the PC (writing Linux kernel code, etc.) so I would not be walking in completely blind to the topic, however, I have never really messed with android before (besides rooting this phone and a couple of Nexus devices).
I apologize if this is a repeated question, like I said, I couldn't find anything.

I also have mine with root I have tried with a lineage rom from an s4 but it installs but does not start. Look at the forum, maybe they will help you to achieve one.
