Yeah , but i just couldn't take my 3 and half hours SOT from my Indian S20+ . Battery on this is far better as far as my initial experience goes.

I play continues pubg (3-4h)and watch videos in all max performance I'll get effortlessly 5h sot that's more than enough for me.only problem I faced in Exynos is heat sometimes but rarely.

It gets quite hot during gaming or heavy apps.
Gaming is smooth. Haven't had any issues.
Haven't used any temp stuff yet.
Right now people have lag issues. I did at first, right out of the box.. but updating it to UAME2 fixed it, including camera stutter.

not mine.... just as all normal phones i guess... i was browsing for 45 minutes the other day... and there were no problems... it was not cold.. but not "hot" either
so overheating in the quad core s4 must be minimal?

i have just used mine for 10 minutes now.. browsing and ebay... 25 degrees celsius... thats not bad i can try taking a temp after antutu benchmark
edit : still 25. and i use a leather case to protect my phone
yeah i just want to know if it gets noticebly hot fast. i read different story's about heating issues with my iphone i have none of them atm. I remember with the s3 it depended on the rom i was using.
Not at all.. I watched a 2hr full hd movie at full brightness. It was still cool. More intensive apps and gaming will warm it up. Hottest I've got was when I did a stability test through antutu.. it was so hot couldn't touch the screen!

Oke thanks for reply, now i think i wil buy the phone. sell my iphone for 500 and get the s4 for 525 !! anything i need to check for factory faults?
Go to the dialer and do some tests.

Samsung S7 edge slow on games

Hi,
I've installed Final Fantasy 9 on my new s7 edge.
The game worked perfectly on my htc one m9.
On the samsung s7 edge, there is no lag but the game is slow.
The game is not running at its normal speed and it's very boring....
So, on HTC one m9 I got Snapdragon 810.
The Exynos should do better. The GPU too. But the screen is larger (QHD vs HD).
Maybe the GPU is no powerful enough to display this game on QHD screen ?
Do you see this on this game ? On other games ?
(I try eco mode, with 30FPS and low screen resolution. The same)
Sorry to hear :/
But working smooth on my G935F, at any mode and also with or without game tools (thought it may be related to it).
No issues with G935F btu fw

This probably has less to do with the actual GPU and more to do with whether the game is optimized. Remember this phone has a killer GPU and utilizes Vulcan API. I doubt this phone is lagging behind the M9, I had both btw. Wish you luck.

Even while your point with optimization is probably true, the device is shipped with vulcan api support, the games have to utilize it otherwise it simply isn't used but plain opengl (es) instead.
No issue here. Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge - G935F - UK - Exynos

Good point, but I guess the real point I wanted to make is that this phone Def has better hardware. This is definitely a software issue.

I have the G930F and I'm experiencing issues as well. I installed pew pew 2 and it lags compared to my HTC M9. I'd say it runs at 15-20 FPS compared to previously on the M9 where is super fluid.
Same feeling with SmashHit and Worms...
Any thoughts?
Solved.
Family from XDA, good day,
I'm from Mexico and I've been using many different roms for my S7 EDGE.
I've installed the NL one, the Germany one, and some others and the one that fix my lag in games is the one from UK.
Yesterday night I've installed the official UK ROM and my games are working a LOT BETTER.
Do you know this silly game called BBTAN? Well, that thing was SO LAGGY in my S7 EDGE, and at the same time it was running smoothly in a Galaxy CORE 2 (YEAH, can you believe it?).
Well, this is the fix for me, and I hope is the one for you all.

Gaming performance not as good as Note 5?

Hey just wondering cause I'm coming from a note 5 but I have noticed the gaming performance on my note 5 is better then the s7 edge. Anyone else experiencing this? I disabled all game modes with package disabler plus to get rid of that crazy brightness bug in games but I feel like FPS and performance on note 5 is better...
Most likely games needing to be optimized for the new hardware

S8 it's a bit too old phone, Mi9t is much better in speed and camera specs. So you can switch for sure.

My s8 is verry quick and i really love OneUi, I also tested Miui and loved it on my redmi note 7.
The bad thing with thé Samsung is update while thé mi 9t Will get Android 10.
I also saw on différents tests that caméra is really bad

Why worry about updates when everything just works great? Not worth for the sacrifice of anything, no matter how big or small. It's like switching bank just because they pay you 50 bucks for doing so, when in fact your previous bank was better when it came to long term usage.
S8 is a great phone, if your battery is not then replace it if you are confident enough. Not saying the Mi 9T is a bad phone but no point if you don't see any benefits apart from software updates.
i am going to do the opposite (mi 9t to S8+) after 1 month of use, the only thing that you will notice is the battery life everything else S8+ is better for sure ( i owned S8+ before) even the premium feel.
If your mainly focus is camera, I don't think it will be a great enough trade. Mi9T camera is very good in my opinion, but S8+ is probably still better. Front camera may be where Mi9T takes advantage. Battery definitely destroy S8+, there's no competition in that regard. Daily performance with normal usage and tasks will be faster and more fluid, but in heavy games S8+ will still perform better. My previous phone was a Moto Z2 Force, which had Snap 835 + 6GB RAM and performance is the same, with Z2F still performing better at heavy games. Everything else I feel Mi9T is better, specially battery.

If you are comparing S8 and Redmi Note 7 and Mi9t those are different devices in productivity, Mi9t is far more faster than S8 or Redmi Note 7, if you'd even compare Antutu score right now Mi9t reaches 247k which is far more than S8 or Redmi Note 7

Benchmarks do not interest me, in addition the GPU of exynos 8995 is much more powerful for games.
All I'm interested in is the camera for photos and videos.
Edit: so quoting ur post messes up my post... Dunno why
Maybe downgrade Gcam. I can see the Mi 9T being a great phone for you. You do not seem to be a heavy user which will benefit you even more in the Mi 9T due to that power efficient chip at the sacrifice of... No sacrifice. Because this thing easily plays games at high settings, although I'm the kind of guy to play on low:silly:
Apart from the cameras (S8 better is all I'm saying), it seems like the perfect phone for you, and many other people.
BUT
You are coming from a Galaxy S8+...

Unfortunately you are wrong as for the GPU
Why is Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 better than Samsung Exynos 8895?
2nm smaller semiconductor size
8nm vs 10nm
204MHz faster GPU clock speed
750MHz vs 546MHz
1 newer version of DirectX
12 vs 11
Has out-of-order execution
Supports ECC memory
The CPU speed is basically the same but the rest of the specs is much more advanced on Snapdragon 730
But all of you forgot the fact that S8+ is almost 3 years old. S8+ is more prone to having things stop working
Finally, I did it !

Time flies I guess... ( I actually forgot lol) the more prone to stop working thing isn't really something to worry about, like... I don't know how to explain this one.
Simply put, worst case scenario something stops and it makes you upgrade. Like nothing bad about it, you have already bought the phone and used it for quite a while, enough to make you want to upgrade.
Or are you implying that when that does happen its value is significantly reduced when selling it. That makes sense.

Nooo, why!! I'm joking. Man I wish I owned a S8 right now I don't know why:laugh:
Wait are you planning on selling it? Hadn't thought about that because then I would definitely say now is the time to upgrade because it is pretty much a FREE upgrade due to the price the S8 currently sells at (just checked; about £50-£80 less compared to last time I... Checked. Time really does fly lol) and you have the plus model so I'm glad you did it. Upgrading from a great phone to another.
Patience pays off

Touch latency?

I am planning on getting oneplus 7t pro or the maclaren edition, but i saw some people talking about touch latency in games. Did oneplus fix it or it still there. I saw that it is really bad for gaming. I really appreciate your answers.
