What? Im assuming over asked question?
I mainly ask because at one point there was a way around it with the one plus 6t. So i wasn't sure if there was a way currently with the 7T Pro.
Far as I know there has not been a guild without it
Short answer: no. Unlock code is needed and MSM Tool can only flash T-Mobile software now.
After the device is paid off AND been on the network for 40 days THEN you can get an unlock code
EVEN if the device isn't from the original owner AND YES: it HAS to be registered on a POST PAID account for 40 days for this to work, prepaid has different LONGER rules and I forgot them.
So how do you get an unlock code?
And to clarify a SIM unlock code not token from oneplus. I know how to do the latter.

Both incorrect. Apparently no one can read the title of threads in our subforums before either asking questions or answering them incorrectly.
@15jpenni
A hacked MSM version was made that allows you to unlock the bootloader and therefore root your phone with Magisk. It won't, however, carrier unlock the phone from T-Mobile vs. if you properly unlock the phone through T-Mobile as the official method that @RypeDub mentioned. Try reading the thread and see how u can do it unofficially:

Sup guys,
Think it is my first post related to the LG G6. I have worked on LG L7II and LG G4 before.
Just having a little time on my hands. I have an LG H870DS and as you know LG does not support unlock.
I would like someone to provide me the following if you can (from an international H870).
DO NOT POST THE INFO HERE SINCE I WILL ASK DEVICE SPECIFIC NUMBERS.
This request is for someone that wants to unlock via LG Dev but did not unlock yet.
Please provide me with the following:
Copy with LGUP patched version of partitions (BEFORE UNLOCKING):
1. /cust
2./persistent
3./drm
IMEI, DEVICE ID from fastboot, unlock.bin
Copy with LGUP patched version of partitions (AFTER UNLOCKING):
1. /cust
2./persistent
3./drm
Ty.

Also, just unlock.bin device-id and imei will help even if you are already unlocked.

Hi @runningnak3d looks like you will have another friend here who will help on unlocking the bootloader. :good:
@neutrondev, are you still working on this? I can give you mine if you are.
Glad to throw in on this. I've got the h870 that I can't unlock and I'm pissed off about it.
Why doesn't it work to make a new bootloader, one that doesn't check for verification?
can someone send me these files?
Guys, any update? I am waiting for LG reply to my request to unlock my chilean H870 bootloader, but I don't really think they will do it.

I dont understand your request clearly. You wrote that this request is for somebody who did not unlock his phone yet. But who did not unlock it he most probably dont have the unlock bin. (I cant imagine somebody got the unlock bin and left his phone locked).
So you need cooperation with members who got their phone unlocked and can provide you with the required data or you need somebody who can experiment with his phone?
By the way i have an LG G6 still locked.

there was a misunderstanding in interpretation, i meant that if once i have the unlock files i dont keep my phone locked but start immediately unlocking and benefitting from it.
But i was confused because i saw a new post and i thought the thread is new then i got disappointed when i saw it was written in 2018
I am loosing hope, assuming about the activity here i dont think anybody is goind to develop a bootloader unlocking code, i have to use to live with it

Unfortunately, you can't unlock it anymore. We need to wait for Huawei to change its mind (unlikely) or our developers to come up with an idea how to unlock it.
Both options require waiting...
Any news?
you may try with DC unlocker, which will fund 4€ for an bootloader unlock code. then you may follow th usual unlock procedure via ADB
Hello dears,
I've been looking for a new P10 plus, but I won't buy it if there is no option for bootoader unlocking.
I've been accross this one:
Code:
http:--huaweiadvices.com/unlock-bootloader-huawei-p10
,
where it mentions this one:
Code:
http:--hwid5.vmall.com/CAS/portal/userRegister/regbyemail.html
Is there anyone with any experience on this?
Do you know if the Xiaomi's are unlocked?
Well, I did pay a visit to hwid5.vmall.com, no unlock codes provided there.
Do you think it will work from hardreset24.com/instruction/how-to-get-password-for-unlocking-bootloader-in-huawei-p9-plus-only-by-imei or from global-unlocking-solutions.miiduu.com/bootloader-unlock-codes-choose-model-below or dc-unlocker.com?
After the unlock code is inserted, can we flash any ROM, firmware, kernels, etc? Does it stay unlocked?
I did unlock VKY-L29 using this method https://forum.xda-developers.com/9-lite/how-to/unlock-bootloader-code-t3859685
It's not oneclick job and took me several evenings to unlock, but it's free and it works. The problem is that you need to get a unique slock file and then again you'll need edit nvme file (or gently ask someone who understands). There are very nice support if you're not pushing them to do magic for you.
All in all, i have unlocked device for several months and now i use OpenKirin Pie.
Thank you for taking the time to answer.
I'll give it a shot when it comes!

Those would be international/unlocked 6T Noms and are not compatible.
So the only way to get the updates as they are available is to unlock the bootloader and flash the international rom?

I think T-mobile's (h918) unlock app checks safetynet (can probably be fooled by setting it in magisk hide). Other models that ask for an actual unlock code it probably doesn't matter.

Are you wanting to carrier unlock it or bootloader unlock it? The phone is already carrier unlocked, just insert your SIM. The bootloader cannot be unlocked on the G975U.

Hi,
No, there is a message that said "Sorry, your device can´t be activated on another carrier's..."
What carrier are you on? If you flash the U1 unlocked firmware and insert a SIM, it should work. If you don't want to flash then it looks like you need an unlock code, which is odd because from what I have read the G975U is already carrier unlocked.

Wait wait. So you're saying my Sprint S10+ is already unlocked? Just need to flash the U1 software?
If you purchased a carrier branded model new it doesn't normally come unlocked. You need to own the phone outright before a carrier will unlock it and some carriers require that the phone be used on their network for a minimum period of time (usually 1 or 2 months) even if you did purchase it outright from them.
You cannot flash U1 firmware on an S10+ unless it's carrier unlocked.
Hello,
I flashed this one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/s10-plus/how-to/sm-g975u-firmware-downloads-tmo-spr-att-t3908657. Everything goes ok, and the message of unlocking appears, requesting me the unlock code.
Any suggestion?
Thank you!

Actually you can flash U1 firmware anyway, but it will still be locked to the same carrier without the unlock code. Carrier locking is IMEI based, not software or device based.

Have you tried calling the carrier and asking them to unlock it? Most carriers will unlock your phone once you've had it for 3 months.

Recently the firmware for the S10+ became all-inclusive like on the S9 models so I'm not sure if flashing U1 firmware over carrier firmware will get rid of the carrier apps anymore. They seem to get installed now automatically as part of the provisioning for the installed SIM card. If you have a network unlocked Verizon phone and insert a T-mobile SIM you end up with the T-mobile boot animation and T-mobile apps and all the Verizon stuff is gone. Maybe the U1 firmware doesn't work the same way.
I read in a different thread that you have to activate the phone with Verizon and wait 3 days. After that just put in another carrier SIM and the phone should auto unlock.

this is incomplete and some is inaccurate..
his vzw device doesnt need to be paid off but does need to wait 60 days from activating on the verizon network before they unlock it..
also you can absolutely flash u1 firmware on a u device, it has literally nothing to do with the sim lock.. and no, flashing u1 on u doesnt magically unlock the sim..
pretty sure on U firmware vzw device will say message cannot be used on another carrier yet.. on u1 will i believe prompt for unlock code when a dif. carrier sim is inserted
https://www.verizon.com/about/consumer-safety/device-unlocking-policy
sprint however needs to be fully paid off and active at least 50 days and account needs to be in good standing to be eligible for sim unlock

are you trying to unlock the Sim or the bootloader? i have the same phone and was disappointed to find out i couldn't unlock my bootloader. no root no custom rom smh. but it's because Samsung removed the developer option to "oem unlock" which must be enabled to unlock. so done online service claiming to be able to do so is crap and waste of money. also if you're trying to unlock the Sim which I think that's what the site is claiming to be able to do because Sprint is a CDMA network if you unlock the SIM the only other service you can put it onto would be boost or Virgin Mobile which just use Sprint's towers. they're the only network still using CDMA. so pointless all the way around sorry buddy.

Thanks for your reply!
I am trying to unlock the sim, the cellphone was Verizon US, (refurbished by asurion). And wanted to use Movistar (Telefonica, from Mexico just GSM). I am searching to do a root and try to follow this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1693491. So what I understand, the site "Unlockboot" could do a CDMA unlock, and after 3 days of chatting with the person that is on service there, sounds that are possible, also is possible that I can continue using my GSM provider of Mexico. But it is very expensive 99$ USD is 2000$ MXN... Also, I do not trust a web service, also if there isn't a reference on this forum.
So that's the update...

Where I live there are multiple independent phone shops that sell SIM cards and phones and are not affiliated with a single carrier and also phone repair shops that offer to SIM unlock a phone as a walk in service. You can probably find a shop to do it if you don't trust an online service.
