wifi problems with the speed... have a 250Mbps broadband and full signal standing near the modem and in phone wifi settings it says the connection speed is 433Mbps and bougt a cheaper lenovo p2 and it has the same 433Mbps connection. but the mate 9 stuggles with only 130Mbps and jumps up and down every time i do speed test.. same speed test on the lenovo p2 and i getting the full speed 250Mbps every metering without any struggels att all it goes to max speed in a second i every test.. really annoning bug in the huawei and still now release for the wifi? someone most have the solution. mate 9 can get full speed stable also its just something thats stops it from doing so, tried wiped cache and tried factoeyreset.. same shi*.. just because of this little bug im thinking of selling my mate 9 pro and stay with lenono p2 but love the mate in all other ways... and huawei doesnt seem to care and thats worries me the phone have been out for a time now and still no wifi update... mayby there is a workaround? im trying everingrhing likes changing channels on router and changed to static but same shi*... even tried another router.... but i got a feeling there is a way to fix this... wtf this not i cheap phone and still cheap phones outpreform the mate 9 in wifi speed thats not right! so please anyone come with an solution to the instable and slow wifi on mate 9 pro. kind regars g and by the way working really hard for a workaround this bug the maye 9 pro have on wifi to getting it stable at full speed like even cheap phones fixes.. know this one can do it to its just a bug. but need to bee fixed! Kind regard G ?

No updates yet. I've had my M9P for about 2 weeks now. So far I have not encountered any wi-fi issue whatsoever. Make sure, it's not channel interference from nearby accesspoints (if on 2.4GHz).
Help
Any stock or custom roms for p9 pro
No OTA yet. I have issues that runkeeper for some reason doesn't work with this phone. Every other phone I have ever used since 2010 has always been working, but this one doesn't.
Also I already bought Google daydream since they announced it will be available soon. Well, its about one month from that announcement and nothing since that. Daydream sitting in the desk now.
And otherwise it seems to be working just can't connect the controller.
I bought Mate 9 Pro (LON-L29 : 6/128 GB) several weeks ago and I got an official OTA updated last week. But I cannot any difference from the old ROM.

I've tried to update my divece from B124 to B139, with no luck, but i got a brand new device yesteday, and it was on B139 from scratch, and i found some few fixes i have been working with on B124, so it seems like they have problems with thier OTA update.

Where are you located. I am in the US and can't log into the ICare app.
I'm in California and I can log in to HiCare just fine.
***Update***
I just noticed that I can log into the HiCare app but when i try to "associate a phone" with the account there's no phone setup. But when I try to setup my phone there's no option in the drop down menu for USA. Could this possibly be the reason I'm not able to get updates and it always tells me Im up to date?
According to this: http://hwmt.ru/oth/HWFF/info/view.php?find_model=LON-L29 There have been several updates since LON-L29C721B124 which I currently have. But for some reason it doesn't update whatever I try to do.
I wonder if it's possible for this to work on the M9P...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/how-to/tutorial-how-to-update-form-b360-to-t3544232
I tried without success
I downloaded app "firmware finder" from the playstore and it can find the latest update B139 for me, I can download it and MD5 check is success. However when I try to install it from the recovery I get an error.
Most amazing here is that Huawei isn't telling us anything here. Why many people with L29C432 are not able to receive latest version for their phones even if its already 2 months old.
Really annoyig, I do like the phone but horrible software support makes me want to consider some other options.

yes you can update to nougat with this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/development/edl-emergency-dl-mode-twrp-unlock-t3553514/

I figured out that it was my sim card/provider is causing the trouble. when I tried with another sim provider, it works flawlessly.
I got tired of waiting for official N release so I've decided to flash LOS instead (never liked the stock MiFavor anyhow). I have to say it fixed some issues for me and for now I'm quite happy with it. Even my LTE issue is fixed (previously my device could not locate a 4G network - tried several operators). I'd recommend you guys giving it a try, at least for those who are not afraid of experimenting with the phone

I haven't tested it yet as I have flashed the LOS just several hours ago. Still trying to get a hang on some other things before I get to the camera.
I don't think it will be much worse (or much better for that matter). It is a phone camera and I've never expected much out of them and for the occasional use it should be enough, for taking good photos I'd pick a normal digital camera any day of the weak. And besides, if you don't like the LOS camera you can always install some other camera instead.
In any case, I'll take some photos with it tomorrow and post them here for your reference.
Thanks Jedi.Tester
So Huawei devices have been having a lot of problems with Android Auto, the Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro inclusive. They cannot connect and leave the screen in the car black after a connection attempt has been made.
Huawei is working on this and it should be fixed in OTAs, which some users of other devices reported to be the case for them.
Since I'm stuck on the European version C432, I haven't gotten any OTAs since B156. Is anybody on newer firmwares able to test if the problem has been solved for them?

Hope updating to newer firmware will fix the problems with Android Auto, since this is my biggest concern with this phone.

Really? Damn.. there doesn't seem to be any consistency to this.. what model do you have?
Which version of Android Auto are you using?
No problems whatsoever for me either. Mine works perfectly.
However, when I had my Note 4 I had to jump through a lot of hoops to get it to work. It took weeks of investigation and trial and error. It's simply a very inconsistent app. And from my experience, type of car and google services version play as much of a role as your phone's firmware does. Visit any other phone sub forum if you need proof of that. It gives problems on all phones.
Actually, once AA refused to connect. Only way to fix it was to redownload and reinstall Android Auto. Make sure you're on the latest version too.
It didn't leave the screen black though, just refused to connect.
Latest is 2.2.710804, and you should probably get the arm64 version.
I had to get it from apkmirror as it's not released in Sweden yet.
I guess it's worth a shot to reinstall/update.

Update 6/21/2017: OTA update to Android 7.1.1 is out, and I received the OTA and installed it around 10 pm CST. Working great so far!! Getting a Nougat update for the Axon 7 mini seems to be too much of a challenge for ZTE. As most of you know, ZTE has been running a closed Beta test of Android Nougat for our device. Three months is a pretty long Beta test, and it seems to me that ZTE may be experiencing some problems. I am not part of the Beta, I was in the hospital and didn't find out about it until sign ups were over. Is there anyone who's running the Beta right now that could give us an update? Feel free to PM me, and I can pass any updated info along to those of us not in the Beta, as I don't want anyone who does pass the info along to get in trouble for violating an NDA. Thanks!

I messaged ZTE on twitter about a week ago asking if they plan on releasing nougat or if not to unlock the bootloader if they planned on no longer supporting the device and this is the reply I got.
The Axon 7 Mini is still supported, and we've confirmed than an update will be released soon. We appreciate your continued patience. At this time, we are unable to provide assistance to unlock the bootloader of this device.

Thanks for the info, hopefully the update will be here soon!
I have received information about the beta via a couple of PM's from active beta testers. Looks like they are currently testing 7.1.1 with the June security patch. The software is said to be running good, but has a couple unspecified bugs that need to be corrected. All sources indicate that the update should be releasing very soon, but no confirmed release date yet. I wi6add further information as I receive it.

That's just weird. According to the beta testers, that build was sent to them shortly after the beta began, and still has some software bugs. I would have thought that ZTE would at least have one more update to the firmware prior to launch.
I guess we'll see if ZTE just ignored the bugs to get the update out. Apparently the OTA is supposed to be available, but I'm not seeing it yet (Missouri). Anyone here in the US been able to update yet?

I am downloading the 7.1.1 update now! I have the Axon 7 Mini on T-Mobile in the US. I will post more info as soon as it finishes. Very excited to see it says it adds T-Mo Wi-Fi calling support.
I got the update last night but this morning after turning on the T-Mobile wi-fi calling it messed up my cellular radio. Keeps turning on/off. Connects then disconnects. Anyone else having this problem?
Looks like I may have to reset the phone. ?

Is it possible to set a custom dpi?
So I reset my phone and that didn't fix my problem. I messed around with all the WiFi & WiFi calling settings and cellular data settings with none of them fixing my problem. I then turned on the developers options and for some reason that fixed my cellular from turning on and off.
That fixed my issue if anyone has the same problem.

Okay thanks man
My son's got it this morning finally... Update took a while, probably close to 40 minutes start to finish, including the "Android is upgrading" portion after full boot. That must be an N thing, it rebuild cache on the fly or something. So far so good, no issues or problems yet.
We don't have T-Mobile here, use H2O (an AT&T MVNO) and so far no issues with radios or connection.
TBH, the more I play with this device the more I like it... the UI isn't too bad, one thing that gets me is the modified "Home" menu and you can't easily switch launchers without uninstalling one, but that is for another thread if I ever decide to pursue it.

10.5.8 was dated 14th may.. is very old firmware update....
10.5.8 was pulled in North America. They just released 10.5.9 and it only disables the colour filter camera.
There have been a few, there is an app on the play store called OnePlus updater, it works by identifying your device model and then searching for an update.
I didn't get 10.5.8 but the updater did.
You click update and it'll download it (good speeds)
Once compete, push it to the root of your storage.
The click system update in settings and choose local update.
Click the file
Allow to finish.
I've done this twice now and it's been flawless, no loss of data, no changes to device details.
I'd recommend it..
If you're rooted, i couldn't say what way you should update..with the fingerprint issue etc you have to be careful.

Well no., you can actually reactivate the photochrome lens using a few tricks, there's already a thread about it. Which will evolve and get easier.
I promise you it actually does work..
Try taking pictures of all the remotes in your house and sooner or later you'll get to see through one or some of them, a UK virgin TV remote allows you to see through its back cover.
I'm sure there are more things you can see through.
Also not sure if you know where to activate the lens but just incase.
Open camera
Click settings (top right in portrait)
Slide along to the right, the last filter.
