Some one know if is possible with an app (even rooted) tell to Android to switch (customizable) accleretometer and gyro axis to feed the others apps with modified data?
Thanks

I'm requesting a short video, where the Nexus S gyroscope would be seen in action.
For example the Google Maps application 5.0 would be nice to see working with gyroscope. What should be shown, would be the 'direction / compass assisted with gyroscope' and the street view in compass / gyroscope mode.
The same kind of video from Iphone 4 would also be appreciated.
Thanks
Still wanted.

I haven't found any game on android market that uses gyroscope to its fullest.
Here a video of gyroscope on Google Street View using ShootMe app to record it (quality is not the best but you get the idea)

Still would like to see how the compass mode on the map works in google maps with a gyroscope.
Thanks for the streetview vid.

Not aware of any apps that do what S Health does. You may probably find some Pedometer app to count steps, BUT I never tried any of them. Here is an example
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wsl.CardioTrainer
NOTE I do not know what this app does/is, try at your own risk.
Regarding what sensors S Health uses, it is likely accelerometer, gyro, compass, temperature/humidity, barometer. The use of SO many sensors makes me think there is no other app that can work as well as S Health.
I just started getting into s health yesterday and I really like the idea of it but it's completely inaccurate for counting steps and I'm not sure exactly why. However, I'm also unable to find calibration settings in the settings app for gyro or accelerometer (they were in 4.1 on my old note1)
Are there other apps that work similarly to shealth For food and activity tracking? Is there any way to get pedometer info into shealth from another, more accurate accelerometer based step counting app?
Thanks!

Hi, I'm on stock 6.0.1.
While playing Ingress my arrow always points north, no matter what I set up in Ingress' settings (dynamic vs. static compass).
In GPS Tools the compass is working OK.
Has anyone else encountered that?
Cheers!
X play doesnt have gyroscope to automatically scanner so u have to manually rotate the ingress scanner

Thx!
I am on the latest miui as attached.
I think my gyroscope is broken. And it shows in an inaccurate z axis via sensor box app and in the native compass app as attached
Also in google maps, the blue dot keep spinning around.
I am not rooted and i am a normal user not an experienced android user.
