Airaudio Problems on LOS 17.1 with Magisk - OnePlus 6T Questions & Answers

Yesterday, I loaded the AirAudio app (v9) to stream to my Apple Airport Express. I downloaded and installed the AirAudio module (v6) on Magisk (v20.4).
Among other problems, my display went to full brightness, and although the display brightness slider is still there and slides, the brightness does not change. In addition, my music player will not play ( songs do not progress in the "Play" monitor), and I have lost all sound from the phone.
I've removed the app and uninstalled the Magisk module, but the problems remain.
Also, camera now locks up when snapped and other apps lock up.
Anyone else having issues with this app on LOS? None of these problems have occurred prior to loading AirAudio and module.
Thanks!

Hey there,
AirAudio has been kicked by Google because they didn't like a link to a rooting-website inside the description anymore, written 7 years ago.
Its successor is called AirMusic and allows to stream some apps (eg. YouTube, YT Music, Deezer, PodcastAddict , radio.de, Plex and more, you have to try it out) without root on Android 10+.
On rooted devices, all audio can be transmitted.
To get around the Magisk-issues with LOS, please contact the developer for a TWRP-flashable zip.

No sound from notifications

SlimKat 4.4.4 on SGH-T-999
Flashed about a year ago, no issues except camera (Can't access camera sometimes. CM does this also. Not the point of this post)
Recently noticed I'm not getting sound from Google voice notifications. I get the Notification bar & LED flash.
I wiped app data & reinstalled. The sounds came back. I set the notification tone & it worked about a day.
It stopped working again. I just now realized that other notifications not making noise either.
Interesting fact is that in the app/notification sound picker, the sounds don't preview. When you pick a new sound, it is supposed to play so you can tell which sound. There is no sound. I have Business Calendar Pro, SplenDo (Tasks), Hangouts, GMail. No app plays the sound when you change the notification sound.
I have phone ringtone & it will accept changes & it plays the sample when you change it.
I can play audio from a few different apps (Google music, Spotify, ES File Exp, Onkyo Player)
The only reason I'm posting it here is it seems to be affecting everything, so I dont think it's an individual app.
Not sure where to look next.

Many Daydream apps not working (LOS)

I just received my Daydream View headset. I had been playing with a cardboard one +a phone as an emulated controller, and some apps worked but others didn't (they played in 2D full screen). I assumed that was because they detected my viewer was not a genuine View, but now that I have it, the same happens. The Daydream app itself and some others work well, but most don't. I tried clearing data for the daydream app, the google vr services and the specific apps that are not working. Has anyone encountered this?
Thanks

Music controls not appearing in the lock screen

I have a problem with my lock screen.
I went to the notification center and gave Lock screen permisions to all my music apps. I say all because I've been testing several to be sure it's not the app fault.
the apps are: jetAudio, Music (the default huawei one), Black Player, Phonograph, Podcast Addict, Pulsar, Rocket Player and Spotify.
All of them have all the permissions possible (lock screen, Banners, status bar) and so far the only one that has the music controls properly working is the default music app and Spotify (both with the exact same UI, I mention this because I don't know if this is how is supposed to be seen).
I don't know what to do.
I'm running Nova, in a VNS-L31. If you need any additional info just name it.
Thanks in advance.

First things first, EMUI is made that way so you can't enable music controll on lockscreen for third party apps.
Second, you are running Nova (launcher?), that doesn't have anything to do with the ROM...
To have lockscreen controls you will need to flash a third party ROM (eg. LineageOS by @Meticulus), (not EMUI). But as i can see, you are pretty new to the Android thing, so i wouldn't recommend it.
thanks for your answer.
I put all the information I could think of, in order to make your task helping me easier.
Yes I am quite new. I've only rooted a nexus 5 and it was with a program that did almost everything for me. Nexustools or something like that....
Seems to me that probably for music screen controls maybe it's too much hassle. although it's not my favourite I guess I will stick with the default music app.
Just one more question, when huawei rolls out the update to Emui, it probably will keep working the same way, won't it?
Thanks again mate
In Firmware Finder --> Tweaker (Test) --> Set music player to keyguard
It works good on P9 lite with Android 6.0 ...
I didn't test it with Nougat.

Problem with video & audio

Hello,
I started having some strange issues with audio and video playback on my Nexus 6P. It seems that my phone has suddenly lost the ability to play any audio or video file. In Google Photos app if I try to play a local video file it just informs that the file cannot be played. If I try to shoot video using Google Camera it just informs that the connection to the camera is lost. I cannot listen to Google Music or even the system ringtones & notifications. Even the alarm clock starts without any sound(only vibration).
I don't know what exactly caused this. My phone is rooted and I'm using custom roms. Lately I've been using Pure Nexus and Substratum themes. I suspect that the problem started after switching the theme in Substratum.
I have already wiped my phone from recorery(TWRP) and clean installed the rom & gapps. That didn't seem to help so I clean installed another rom(Nitrogen OS). I still seem to have the same issue.
Could this be hardware related issue? Any ideas?

No sound from certain apps

I have a 10.25 android unit in my mercedes running android 9. I have a weird issue where I have no sound from certain apps.
Google chrome app no sound when using youtube in browser but have sound using youtube app.
Amazon music - no sound
soundcloud - no sound
But then I can use spotify with no issues.
I have tried uninstalling and installing the apps with no success.
Anyone else come across this issue and knows of a resolution?
Try rechecking your ground wire. Make sure it is connected properly.

I was thinking more along the lines of a codec issue. Based on the fact I do get sound from other apps?
a bad GND can cause all sorts of strange issues, even on the software side of your unit..
that said, android handles sound in a strange way, and sometimes it can result in silent apps.
basically android can not mix sounds from impended apps/sources. it grants permissions and checks which permission overrules a previous permission.
if a app does not ask for audio permissions and invokes them straight away, another app or the previous app could hold the audio permission, thus muting the app you are using.
so if you start chrome for instance it does not ask for audio permission on startup and can get muted.
you can try to dive deep in the apps permissions to give them audio permission manually, so the app can give audio again.
but it could happen (with older andriod versions) that if another app uses audio like your navi voice directions, or you speeding camera app, chrome would not get audio permissions back until restart.
