Adds a configurable Energy Ring around the camera lens indicating current Battery level. Dive into the various configuration options, not only you can quickly glance and get the battery info but, Energy Ring adds an accent to your phone's camera lens.
Got a full charge? The Ring will be a 360 degree wrap around the front camera lens.
Battery depleting? So will the arc of Energy Ring.
Out of the box features:-
✓ Energy Ring can be configured from a width of 1 pixel to a donut thick ring
✓ Energy Ring puts almost 0% load on CPU, as it wakes up only to reflect any change in battery level
✓ Energy Ring's direction can be configured as clockwise/bidirectional/anti-clockwise
✓ Energy Ring can hide on fullscreen content (apps, videos, images, games etc)
✓ Energy Ring can be configured to change colors automatically depending on the live battery level
✓ Energy Ring could have a mono color/multiple color segments/gradient (pro)
✓ You can literally assign any color in the world for your favorite configuration
✓ Energy Ring has a number of cool animations whenever a power source is plugged into your device
All that is cool! But what about Energy Ring consuming Battery?!
This is one of the most exciting question for me to answer. Energy Ring more than anything understands that you need to utilize your battery efficiently (after all, that's why you installed the App, right? .) Energy Ring sits on the screen silently putting almost 0% load on CPU, if battery level changes, Android wakes up Energy Ring. Once awake, Energy Ring quickly updates itself and goes back to sleep. And to be that extra efficient, the Ring goes on deep sleep when you turn off the screen, meaning it doesn't even read changes in battery level when the screen is off.
Accessibility Service Requirement:
Android requires Energy Ring to run as an Accessibility Service, to be able to display on Lock Screen. It does not read/monitor any data, whatsoever. This is especially useful for people who have disability to read numbers and work better with visual data.
Download now from Google Play Store! And if you like, please leave a rating.
Update: Fixed the issue of System turning off Accessibility Service of Energy Ring frequently, it was a Android System Level bug, a workaround has been deployed successfully, let me know if Energy Ring is stable again for you! P.S. I am flooded with emails and messages, apologies if I couldn't reply all!

Nitrogen OS was the best ROM I started to like on this Redmi Note 3. Now with the new 8.1 Oreo update, the performance and stability on this device is much better than MIUI. So, Intantly I took my camera and this is my take on the NOS 8.1 for Redmi Note 3. First of all, I customized this phone with Pixel Launcher and reduced the pixel density as prefer to read more on a screen at once.
I used this ROM for like 2 weeks and what I felt was, this is was the best ROM upgrade from the previous NOS nought version. The previous version had problems like SIM detection problem, and lags. As said, the ROM is based on Oreo 8.1. So you get the oreo features like Picture in Picture mode for YouTube, new emojis, smart text selection and redesigned settings menu.
You get to to play with lot of gestures like double tap to switch to previous app and brightness control by sliding over the status bar. These can all be customized in the settings.

But then one problem I noticed on this was display color and sound volume. The screen was not that vivid and sound was too low, so I had to install Agni kernel to fix that. After that, I felt like battery backup and also the charging time had inproved. However, This time the Picture in Picture mode stopped working.I got battery backup of about 5-6 hours and sometimes 7 hours. Charging time was again 2 hours. It could run almost 4 apps in the background without refreshing in my 2gb variant. It was much better than the MIUI ram management, so I liked it.
I won't say that this ROM is entirely lag free. However, it's better than MIUI according to me. You could easily switch between the app's and multitask using split screen. That was indeed a useful feature.
The pre-installed stock camera is not good at all. You can actually get the best camera performance of this Redmi Note 3 using Google HDR+ camera, which I would be reviewing in detail in a few days.
It that worth the review. You don't have the problem of auto exposure and the quality of image that comes out is really good, Although you don't cannot take slow motion video in this app.
Caffeine was one of my favorite toggle which helped me in keeping the screen ON for a prescribed time.
Since this ROM is under development, you can experience small bugs like overlapping notifications on clock during Ambient display. Instagram would crash atleast once in a day specially if you are using its camera. Also, PicsArt was little laggy on this.
Other that that, the call quality and daily web browsing did not all face any issue. VoLTE works, and Goodix also works on this ROM. What doesn't work is VoLTE Video Calling which hopefully would be fixed in the upcoming updates. :laugh::fingers-crossed:

Gaming performance and memory optimization
Hei, can you show us the gaming performance of the current ROM version, ive tried this oreo version rom and the nougat stable version is better at gaming (my current rom), my thoughts is the oreo version rom can't optimize the memory while playing games, lagging so bad, but when you play games after rebooting it, it playing smoothly (but still going to lag overtime). Yea the point is can you give your thoughts about gaming performance and memory management of this rom?
Thanks
[SOLVED] ZE601KL - Display showing erroneous dynamic contrast. (Zenfone 2 laser 6")
[Product information]
Product Type: ZenFone
Product Model: ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser Z011D (ZE601KL)
Operating system / firmware or BIOS version: Android 6.0.1 - Version No.: MMB29P.WW_21.40.1220.2170_20170719
Screen: Full HD, IPS, 367 PPI with 16 million colors
[Problem description]
Display showing erroneous dynamic contrast.
At a certain time I have been observing the change of color contrast in certain situations.
Whenever there is a predominantly darker, or clear tone on the screen, there is a variation of your tones.
The situation is simple: By increasing the level of dark tones shown on the screen (black), proportionately and automatically the cell phone increases the contrast of the screen colors. Where a completely black wallpaper is applied, for example, an excessive and even blinding contrast becomes present on the screen of the phone (most visible on the icons).
I have identified some characteristics that can lead us to the solution:
1) I bought an identical cell phone for my brother, which presents the same problem;
2) When taking screenshots, the problem persists in the viewing of photos, however, when moving to another device, the situation can not be identified. (it really is a problem related to screen calibration);
3) When applying a program of filters, it is possible to solve the situation (demonstrating that it is not limitation of the technology of the screen), however, as it affects the screen in all the situations and it is one more program running in the cellular, it is not viable;
4) The splendid can not improve the situation at all;
5) I applied another launcher (googlenow) and the problem persists;
6) Changing the brightness level of the screen does not affect the bug;
7) Hard reset does not affect the bug at all.
I think it's some problem with the device's room, or background program that controls it. (I already uninstalled the splendid and nothing).
I tested this on Zenfone 2 Go and Zenfone 2 from friends, and I did not see that problem.
Due to the fact that I have bought a cell phone with a high quality screen, this problem makes me feel somewhat injured.
I tried the Asus support, but the feedback I got was that they would analyze the case, and until then with no more responses.
If someone could help-me, i would be very greatful! Anyone think if i install a custom roms, this could be resolved?
Attached images showing the defect.

Hello everybody! I found a solution to this situation! And it was this:
1) Install Android 7.1.2 (LineageOS 14);
2) Go to: Settings> Display> LiveDisplay> Advanced> Color Calibration;
3) Reduce the percentage of red, green and blue to 85%.
Now the problem is no longer visible! And there's no need for any other software or system running in the background to make this fix!
What is SideSqueeze?
SideSqueeze is an innovative and unique app that uses the barometric pressure sensor in your device to detect squeezes and screen presses. It is compatible only with Samsung Galaxy devices from 2017 onwards, although some people have reported varying degrees of success with Pixel devices.
What It Does
SideSqueeze gives your S8/S9/S10 series Galaxy the ability to respond to squeezes, double squeezes, triple squeezes, quadruple squeezes, long squeezes, and/or inertial squeezes, as well as force presses on the screen. For example, you can double squeeze your phone to activate Google Assistant...or maybe you'd like to quadruple squeeze to toggle auto-rotation. And now with Tasker integration, you can even create elaborate tasks to do just about anything and trigger them with any type of squeeze! SideSqueeze's new modular GUI allows you to pick and choose what you want to do with ease.
Features (not all available in trial version)
7 detectable squeeze types (single, double, triple, quadruple, long, long double-squeeze, and inertial)
3 detectable press types (single, long, and 2-finger)
Independently selectable criteria allow you to assign multiple actions to any trigger type (if lockscreen open, if homescreen open, if camera open, if S-Pen detached, if within 5-seconds of power on, if the phone is ringing, if in-call, or if screen is off)
New app picker to launch any app of your choosing
Tasker integration to launch any task of your choosing
Quick Settings tile to toggle detection engine
Wide selection of common actions, such as flashlight toggling, status bar toggling, etc
Adjustable pressure thresholds
Calibration assistant to customize SideSqueeze to your device's unique characteristics
Efficient detection algorithm that is designed to be as lightweight and low-power as possible with no significant impact on battery life

I'm not able to pass through calibration (SideSqueeze), so for me it is not working.
SideSqueeze is on sale for $1.99 through July 13th!
Version 2.07 (just released) offers better reliability and faster response-time, especially when "Disable baseline verification" is set (checked) on the settings panel (go to the About or Help tab, tap the gear icon on the top-right corner).

After the android 11 update android auto start to freeze switching apps (ex from maps to spotify a 15 seconds black sceen) or when navigating has to turn direction (the cursor start flickering and after a while the navigation resume).
While many users of the OPPO Find X5 Pro are enjoying the new ColorOS 12.1 experience, some people might not know just how powerful and effective some of the included tools can be. Certain areas of the user experience have received a strong focus on improvement. This can particularly be found with efficiency features, audio/visual experience, and safety. In this thread, I'm going to go over many different aspects of ColorOS 12.1, which will let you be a power user.
Smart and EfficientMulti-screen connect
Everyone shares the load of work and play between their smartphone and computer. OPPO is always looking for ways to make the connection between these two devices simpler. With Multi-Screen Connect, you can sync notifications, files, and the clipboard, across the two devices. This means that when you switch to your pc, you can set your phone down and not bother checking it for any incoming notifications.
This feature is especially useful for anyone that does productivity work on both their mobile and PC. A more unified experience with the two devices means fewer distractions and an easier workflow.
Tip: The most effective way to take advantage of Multi-screen connect is with wireless file transfer. Use the 256GB of storage on the OPPO Find X5 Pro as a backup drive for all of your work documents.

Flexdrop 2.0
It took me a while before I got the hang of the split-screen type feature on my OPPO Find X5 Pro. Flexdrop 2.0 offers split-screen and floating windows. Both of these types of multitasking environments can be adjusted as you see fit.
To get started with Flexdrop 2.0, go to the Special features menu in the settings. Here you’ll be able to change the settings for Flexible windows and Smart Sidebar. Both of these play a role in your ideal Flexdrop 2.0 setup.
Tip: The best Flexdrop 2.0 configuration
Smart Sidebar - Toggle on
Show app names - Toggle off
Button free Flexible windows - Toggle on
Quick-hide windows in-game - Toggle on
This is the most distraction-free and easiest way to take advantage of Flexdrop 2.0.
Air Gesture
As a new feature in ColorOS 12.1, the goal of Air Gestures is simple. This lets you scroll through websites and apps with the flip of your hard. You can also control incoming calls with air gestures, but I think very few people will actually use that.
Turn on Air Gestures and go through the tutorial. Once you’re all set up, you can scroll through apps without physically interacting with your phone.
Tip: Use Air Gestures to scroll through TikTok. Prop your phone up at an angle when you’re at your work desk, then casually flip through videos without touching your phone.
Adaptive Sleep
If you’re tired of your screen dimming or shutting off when you’re trying to read something, enable the Adaptive Sleep feature. This feature uses access to your camera to detect when you’re looking at your screen. Your screen will no longer shut off when you don’t interact with it, as long as you’re looking at your device.
Tip: Use adaptive sleep for long meetings, so you avoid audible screen touches or button presses through your microphone.
Audio/Visual/Physical experienceColor Vision Enhancement
Color Vision Enhancement is much more than just a higher color saturation of your display. This settings menu lets you test different color filters to find the best visual setup.
Tip: Take the color vision test to determine which color settings are the best for you.
O-Haptics
The revamped user experience extends to the physical feedback that you get from your phone as well. Equipped with the most powerful vibration motor in any phone, the OPPO Find X5 Pro is the perfect device to take advantage of the O-Haptics settings. You can adjust the way your haptics feel with an intensity slider.
Tip: Set “How touches feel” to Crisp or Gentle to further customize the feel.
Binaural Recording
A more immersive and realistic audio result will be paired with your videos when you shoot video on the OPPO Find X5 Pro. Expect clearer vocals and less background noise intrusion when you watch your footage back.
Tip: Turn on Smart mode in Audio effects if you use digital zoom when you film. This mode can focus the recorded audio on your subject as you zoom in on it.
For an experience that merges all of the new audio, visual, and physical enhancements, try O-relax. This included app contains many different relaxing ambient sounds, visual stress releases, and world immersion using O-Haptics.
Tip: Explore the Alien World in O-Relax for a very interesting look at an impressive display of all of these features in one place.
Safety and PrivacyPrivacy Control
ColorOS is known for implementing some powerful privacy tools. Use these tools to control access to apps, permissions, camera/microphone, and more. You can even set up an entirely fresh system with System cloner, or hide specific apps that you don’t want others to see.
Tip: Regularly check your Privacy dashboard, to see which apps are using sensitive permissions like camera, location, and microphone.
Accessibility
Smartphones are always including more accessibility options that make these devices easier to use for more people. Check out the large number of options that are listed in the accessibility setting menu.
Tip: Toggle on Amplify speech volume, to really boost the max volume of text-to-speech features when you’re in loud environments.
Use these features to maximize your usage of ColorOS 12.1, and use your OPPO Find X5 Pro to its full extent. If you have more ColorOS tips or questions about these features, leave a comment in this thread.
