I am going to buy a n7 and i want to know if its possible to have two user accounts with separated data, like have two tablets in one tablet.
is it possible??

install user management app, jellybean has limited multiuser support but its not finished.

Where are "restricted profile" on my SM-T585

Hi guys,
Although I usually switch to a more vanilla experience on my devices, I'm testing a Galaxy Tab A for a work project I'm putting together. It's a clinical study and investigators will use tablets for data entry, so I need to make the tablet fool-proof and prevent most users from installing anything, browsing etc to preserve battery.
In Settings > Users, clicking "add user" only proposes to add a normal user, and not a restricted one. Did Samsung really ditch the "restricted profiles" from their rom ??? I hope it's just me and I'm missing an obvious place to look at. The tablet is running 6.0.1 MMB29K build.

edit: I just ran on this topic: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/nexus/47Qffy996As that states that Restricted Profiles are only available for "tablets". Since there's a 4G port on my tablet, is that it ?? That's just plain stupid ??

User switching @m3 lite?

Hi all,
got my new Mediapad m3 lite 10 today. It is planned to use this device as a family device, and so each one of us would like to have its own account at this pad. But I can't find the setting to set this up :silly:
My Pad is a BAH-W09 with Software BAH-W09C100B022

Same problem with my pad bah-l09

I was searching yesterday for apps, which can deliver these functionality to this device, but i only found apps which are cloning other apps to use them in parallel and/or with different accounts, but thats not what i want. Other apps like SwitchMe (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fahrbot.apps.switchme&hl=de&rdid=fahrbot.apps.switchme) require root access, which also isn't available at this time i think. Are there any other app which can build user profiles at this tablet?

I got a response from the Huawei-Support and they told me that the M3 Lite 10 is not meant to get multi-user - support. :/

WTF!!! I was considering buying that tablet because it seemed to neatly fit my needs. However that Huawei unnecessarily(!) stripped off Android's build in multi-user capability for a tablet(!) is almost a complete KO criterion. I wanted to use it amongst other stuff to install different users for my wife and me so we both could check our emails independantly - what an overly rare and complex task! If the tablet can't handle that scenario it's almost useless for me. :-/
I'm really a bit sick'n'tired of hoping some day someone will find a new trick to root phone AB, someone will find the time to build a new recovery for phone CD and someone will be able to compile a working current Android version for phone EF in order to unleash the full capability of some hardware I own. Think I should switch back into search mode, throw in a couple of bucks more and get a M$ tablet without some artificially cripled firmware and instead the guarantee to sustain a current software version with all relevant bug and security fixes during the product's life time...

I just got my M3 tab today, noticed this same problem.

Installing this shows warning about virus, so deleted instally.
Could someone check if this is really virus or false alarm?

Hm, install a Chinese app to get a single second user as a poor replacement for something that's build in but has been willfully ablated by the manufacturer - I wouldn't be willing to do that...

New Android user

Guys i have added a new android user for my wife but this user can't access internal storage take pictures or change GSM frequency. When i added not ask me for administrator or limited user. Andoird 8.1 (AOSIP). How to make him adminitrator too?

Hi folks, I'm new MIUI8 SE user.
I've been using android for 6 years and I'm here - XDA - for 6 years
Since I got my first android phone which was Motorola XT910, I came here xda devs forum and search what can I do. I realized to install roms on android, custom roms. And after a few months I saw MIUI 4 is available for my Motorola XT910. I installed it and it looks great. I can costumize wahtever I want with MIUI4, and later it upgraded MIUI5 bla bla..
After a few years later I bought Xiaomi phone to use stock rom as MIUI. I bought Mi5 and later Mi6. Now I'm with Mi8SE (will continue )
So, I've been almost use all MIUı since 4th generation.
Now I just saw MIUI 11 China Beta released for our and mosth xiaomi phone. I wanted you to see, install this great rom to your phone too.

How to install?
Just go to TWRP and wipe cache/data,
Format Factory Rest,
Install ROM,
Update Recovery.(if not, it will stuck in fastboot mode)
And That's It...
Keep in mind that this is Chinese build and thus do not come with Google Play Services or any Google apps pre-installed, though they are easy to sideload. The features may also be slightly different from what you expect from global builds as well, given that they’re focused towards the Chinese market.
