Hello, everyone.
Hope you are having a good day with your OnePlus 5 phones. I recently tried the OTA update for Android 10 on my OnePlus 5. But the update hanged, and I had to force restart. Now, the phone doesn't go beyond the logo. I tried to start in recovery but it asks for pattern and doesn't recognize the existing one.
Is it possible to resolve this? I have lot of data on the phone. It seems that factory reset will delete data, but is it possible to recover the same?
Please guide me out of this issue.
Thanks.

Hey guys,
I'm experiencing a weird problem with a Nexus 10 that was gifted to me. For some reason the Nexus 10 can't receive any updates and reverts to it's last state after a reboot. That probably doesn't make sense so here's an example:
I turn on the Nexus 10. I change the language in the settings. I connect to wireless. I install apps. When I reboot the nexus 10 has no history these changes were made.
Wiping/factory reset from Recovery does nothing. I can select the option but when I turn the tablet back on there is still a completely configured profile with personal data present.
It's currently stuck on 4.2.2. When I try to install the OTA update the installer downloads, the tablet reboots, then no record of the install is seen.
Finally, I've tried to flash Google factory images via ADB and fastboot. But, I can't complete the install because the bootloader doesn't remain unlocked after a reboot so the install never finishes. It seems to me the tablet memory is stuck in a state of read-only.
It seems to me the tablet is stuck on Read-Only somehow... does anyone know what else I can do? I've never experienced this problem before. Most of my research indicates an eMMC problem?
Thanks!
Hi guys,
I have a big problem. Today, Samsung Spain has sent me the OTA upgrade for my device. I've installed it as I always do, I waited until everything finished, I started running the device and everything seemed to work fine, but after an error I had to restart and it has entered in a reboot loop with the Samsung logo.
Do you know anything I can do?
If it helps, my device is encrypted due to company policies. When I switch on the device, it asks for the pin code to unencrypt it, and after that is when it starts to reboot.
Thank you very much for any help you can bring.
Best regards,

Try to factory reset from recovery. If it doesn't work download Russian lollipop ao7 firmware from sammobile
Sent from my Galaxy Note 5 using Tapatalk
I made factory reset at least 10 times until I switched to 4.4.2 about 2 hours ago.I want to see if the problem is Lollipop or my phone.
Finally, I wiped from recovery to factory reset.
I've lost all I had in the device, but almost everything was in the SD card. My problem now is that, as I said, my device was encrypted due to corporate policies and also the SD card was. Now I see the SD card content but seems to be corrupted. I guess it is because I have to decrypt it, but I don't know how to do it, because when I access Settings it only says Encrypt SD card.
Could anyone help me, please?
Thank you very much!
Encrypted 6P with Nougat here. A week after flashing the OTA, unlocking the phone with the initial pin code worked fine, but I started having problems unlocking the phone again by swiping. It just wouldn't be swiped out of the way. It became more and more difficult . Had to reboot all the time in order to get access to the phone, through the pin code unlock.
Initially reflashing the OTA and removing 'trusted locations' for smart unlock seemed to do the trick. 10 hours later the phone went into the same problematic lock screen mode again. This time without any trusted locations.
Installed an alternative lock screen to see if that would work. This required disabling the default lock screen...
After the next boot up, the phone says that the password was correct, but 'decryption was unsuccessful" and the data is corrupt. Will need to perform a factory reset.
Does anyone know a way to avoid resetting the phone? Flashing back to the latest Marshmallow did not help.
Thanks so much.
OK, for anyone else finding themselves in this situation: make sure you get your backups off the phone before it's too late.
After a factory reset to Nougat everything is fine, but all my stuff is gone.
Hi all, I ve updated my device to 7.1.2 beta via OTA the day before. Several hours ago, it started bootlooping after experiencing a battery drain.
Locked, out of warranty, cannot get into recovery mode.
I am giving up this device but does anyone know how can I restore my data from the phone?

If you are fully on stock and an OTA boot looped your phone I would contact Google and see if they will do anything to help you. Even out of warranty Google should accept responsibility for screwing up people's phones with their OTA. I had the same problem with the OTA but my bootloader was unlocked so I could flash a factory image and get my phone back. I was able to get to fastboot menu by playing with the power and volume keys for a while. If you can get to that menu you might be able to factory reset your phone or side load the Feb OTA. I don't think you can recover your phone data in the phone's current state.
if you have only access to Fastboot so you cannot backup any data unless somehow install recovery boot to recovery.

can't you sideload the ota file of a 7.1.1 rom? you should be able to access bootloader screen.
if it's not the bootloop of death that's been happening around here (included me) you can download an ota file from google factory image page and sideload it

Maybe i could donate to the websiteand we can get a thread up and runnig becuaseit took my over an hourto find a fix i havnt even tried yetin regards to the 71.1.1 bootloos onthe Goggle screen as well as the spash scrren, ihave sence lost the spalh screen now its juts black and white google
Some people have reported that the Skipsoft Toolkit got them out of a bootloop. I haven't tried it myself but I think you are giving up too easily. I've gotten lost of phones into boot loops but I don't panic because there is usually a way out. That isn't always the case with the 6P since there is the boot loop of death issue, but I still wouldn't give up just yet.
I had installed the one ui 2.0 beta. But after using few days when I restarted my phone and was unlocking it using the given pattern, it showed "Incorrect". So I downgraded it to android 9 one ui 1.1 using odin and sammobile. Now when I try to set any new screen lock it doesen't work. Its just stuck on swipe. Sometimes I even get "lockscreen settings force stops" message. Kindly someone please fix my problem.
Have you tried doing a data factory reset in recovery?
Install the new emergency update of android 10 beta. Otherwise there is no fix. Do do factory reset.
