Why only the MIUI

Hello everybody,
I'm trying to install a custom rom on a phone of a friend, an xperia x10i
I tried several rom, but the only one the seems to work is the MIUI rom, that unfortunately does not have any support for the camera...
I tried all the roms I found here, but except for the MIUI rom, all the other get stuck at the beginning, when the logo "sony ericcson appears.
Does anyone have any idea or suggestion?

depends what your baseband is

do you follow the instructions?some need wiping before boot
try new miui.it has full working cam and extra swap ram.i just dont want my Android to look like

that isn't what he's asking...
he's asking why only the miui rom will work.
I assume it is because he is trying gb roms with the wrong baseband and kernel

flash 2.3.3 stock rom via flashtool
then root it
then install xrecovery..
then any rom u like download and flash via
xrecovery.....

I'm running the last MIUI rom, but the camera is still not working :/
When I try to take a picture just crash it....
How do I know which baseband I'm using and which kernel I need?

How to flash CM13 or AOSP with working GOODIX and all CAMERAS (Sanpdragon)

Hey i tryed long by my self with my new note3 pro
This is how i got all working for me
- unlock bootloader officially
- Flash official TWRP
- Wipe all
- Flash CM13 Firmware then reboot recovery!!! (The Strix)
- Flash CM13 or AOSP 6.0.1 Rom
- Flash latest open Gapps
- Flash Goodix_FP_8
- Flash AgNi Pure CM kernel or Radon 2.9
- Flash CM13Radio ------> important! or you stuck in a bootloop at some roms (The Strix)

I tried yours, only Radon 3.2 instead of 2.9. Camera works like a charm but not Goodix FP. What should I do?

nougat ROM q and a

I have tried almost all the lineage 7.0.1 based ROM except nuclear ROM and zui 2.5 and had faced some issues like can't select the default calling SIM...
I have a question, on nuclear ROM installing instruction there is a point, u have to come from cm 13... As I had cm 12.1 stock ROM, I didn't try that...
Please tell me, are all the nougat ROM need this condition? Or only that rom?
And also tell me, which gapps is best...
I'm using super just to have the inbuilt pixel launcher and dialler but having Google camera issue... I had tried aroma before just to choose what I need and what I don't... But it didn't work on recovery...
And should I try zui 2.5... Is it good means can call with both the SIM?

7.1.1 aosp stable version 8 - Camera and flash don't works

I've just installed the new stable versione 8 of android 7.1.1 20170213 aosp nogart. Everithing is ok except the camera and the flash, they don't work.
Is there enybody should help me to understand way?
I have flashed the zip file dowloaded from this site directly by the ricovery and It was OK.

Flashlight and camera bug

This bug is not related to a specific rom but i faced it on every rom as i can't get the camera or flashlight to work after first boot or i would boot with camera working but after a random reboot from me i shuts down and i should wipe cache from twrp and wiping cache isn't working every time
Tried to falsh stock , nano and aroma gapps without installing gcam
Tried aex , crdroid and syberia
Nothing happens with stock rom but i don't love it
Any help ? Or someone faces the same bug ?

From your description maybe it's something related to roms with 4.9 kernel. You are using the stock camera (MIUI camera) on those rom right? not the Snapdragon camera or Gcam?

Yea i think this bug started after using 4.9 kernels .. But i use the stock camera that comes with every rom
