Hmmmm, ok but are you sure what you do ? If you're not totally aware of the plus and cons of rooting yuor device, take time to read some infos before in my humble opinion.
But, here is a page which answer most of your questions and give you all the steps to do it correctly ::
https://www.xiaomiauthority.com/2019/11/download-magisk-20-1-zip-how-to-root-all-xiaomi.html
In short : download the magisk zip AND the magisk manager, put it on your phone or external sd storage, reboot in recovery, flash it as normal zip, reboot, install magisk manager if not automatically included, i don't remember and... done !

Redmi note 7 comes with a locked bootloader. You can't root with a locked bootloader.
You will need a computer to unlock bootloader and flash a custom recovery to root.
Here is the complete guide:

Help me please
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to install TWRP on my redmi note 7, but when I have to access it by pressing the power button and the one on either nothing happens and the word "Redmi" remains or the basic recovery starts. What can I do? Some advice?

I think you sand me the wrong link, there is nothing about Orange Fox.
Thank you for your help:good:

It's because you have to flash first twrp THEN Ofox.
Here is the way i've done it, not saying it's THE way to do it but just the one worked for me : (IF ANYONE SEE AN ERROR, OF COURSE CORRECT ME !)
MAKE BACKUP
1 - unlock the bootloader
here better to remove PIN, fingerprint
2 - after unlocking the bootloader, go to fastboot mode by pressing vol down+power button (You need a PC with drivers and adb in order to flash twrp than flash the correct recovery for our device, orangefox)
3 - flash first TWRP THEN flash OrangeFox : https://forum.xda-developers.com/re.../official-orangefox-recovery-project-t3941822
4 - Manage Partitions/data/format/type YES -
5 - wipe cache data system and reboot to recovery (you have a message no system installed, something like that, just ignore)
6 - flash firmware just in case : stable V11.0.... https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware/lavender/
7 - reboot to reco and flash rom
8 - wipa cache and dalvik
9 - reboot to system, wait, enjoy
TAKE TIME TO READ CARREFULLY ALL THE STEPS AND AVAILABLE POSTS. And just ask (kindly if possible) for help when needed

Ok thank you,
I will read it carefully ?

I think it's because of the unlocked bootloader. It doesn't affect the good state of your phone.

[GUIDE][18th Dec][4Noobs] Root BootLoader Unlocked Xperia Play

How To Root All 2011 Xperia Devices (Unlocked Boot-loader)
Just thought I would tell you how to root your Xperia Play no matter what version of android your are on.
For this guide i will be using official firmware xx.xx.xx.62 which will be flashed via wotan.
You have many ways you can do this so i will give two.
Method 1 : Using a auto-root Kernel (doomlord, KeiranFTW)
After flashing your ROM.
Depending on your ROM, download a appopiate kernel with recovery and auto root. for this i will be using Doomlord's Advanced stock kernel.
Once downloaded extract to your fastboot folder (check my other guides for a small fastboot package)
Run fastboot.exe via cmd or use the run_me.bat file
Connect your phone to your computer while switched off and while the search (may be different for other devices) key is being pressed5. When Blue LED switches on type
Code:
fastboot flash boot FILENAME.img
where the file-name is the name of the downloaded file. e.g.
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
6. type in the below command
Code:
fastboot reboot
7. your phone should reboot and you should now have superuser and SU.
Method 2 : Using a Root Zip File
After flashing your ROM.
1. Firstly download this file Bootable ClockworkMod Recovery
2. Next download this file and copy it to your sdcard of your phone.
3. Using the fastboot package downloaded from a previous tutorial run the run_me.bat file
4. Put phone in fastboot mode.
3. Type in the following command
Code:
fastboot boot recovery.img
5. Then "install zip from sd card" on the phone
6. After installation is completed press "reboot phone"
7. Your phone should reboot and have Superuser and SU.
Enjoy your rooted phone,
-Fma965

Man, im not gay. But i love u. the man of a perfect tutorial
Hi, tnx for the tutorial, but 3 questions :
1. Will it work for .69 (or above)?
2. You wrote "after flashing your ROM", do I have to flash ROM? And how do I do that?
3. You wrote "... from previous tutorial", which tutorial?

Good questions.
Putting a custom ROM is after rooting it right? So why would i want to flash my ROM?
I am getting Error: cannot load recovery.img. i guess this has something to do with not having flashed my rom?

[Solved]P8lite L21, twrp won't run

I just bought the P8lite L21, immediately unlocked the bootloader, installed the B560 update + the following B574 update.
I tried on Linux and on Windows to install twrp via $ adb reboot-bootloader then fastboot flash recovery recovery.img.
At the end I also get the "successful" notification. When I want to boot in recovery mode I just have a black screen while $ adb devices says I would be in recovery.
I tried installing twrp over B560 and over B574, both fails. Is there anyone who might know what the problem is or could give me maybe a link to a twrp that worked for him/her? I got all the twrp versions I tried from this forum though.
Thanks in advance for every helping hand,

Thank you for the link
I did pretty much what it says in the guide and also used that twrp version.
I am supposed to hold vol+, vol- and the power button the whole time until twrp opens up correct?
Edit: On Marshmallow it seems like you can't root if you dont have twrp installed, that is the bothersome issue.

You can open twrp by just pressing power button+ Volume up button too. (Works on my phone also it's a bit easier to use).
And yes you need to install twrp to root your phone.

Yes followed the steps one by one...
Edit: One thing worth mentioning is that I used the update_data.zip from the russian link, when I orignally installed Nougat this was the only file that worked for me.
Edit2: Redid the steps but used the update_data-zip posted by Sillanwali in his thread to update to nougat C432B560 but I get "Error: 7....."
After the step 4, I preconize to reboot the recovery. It's advised after a "Format data".

Make sure you are running unmodified stock firmware. As method above only patch boot img and push superuser files. Do not install decrypted boot img. It need untouched stock boot .
Once you completed the steps and reboot to system. It will normally bootloop twice then you will stuck at huawei logo about 3-5mins.

It's optional step but normally most of my experiments I don't even need to "reboot to recovery" but I will add it as optional step in OP.

Edit2: Tried again but these time rebooting into recovery after formating data as suggested by @franzyroy but it didn't make a difference still bootloop

Try the deep flash cable method, if it work then it's good, if it won't work then you have to use test point method for this. I pass through this experience.

I keep reading once you start the root with odin its supposed to have a red anroid icon on your phone. but instead it just stays at the blue downloading screen. and it always gets stuck at recovery.img I was hoping someone could help me root it, or find a guide for my phone. I would really appreciate it. My phone model is SM-G903W, Provider is Telus, its updated to Android 7.0.
Have you managed to root your device?
No sadly.
But the phone no longer has a sim card. Got a new phone. So still wanting to root it but not sure if it can be or what to do since the isn't a provider

Use CF-Auto-Root
Flash in odin AP section
https://download.chainfire.eu/953/C...-Auto-Root-s5neoltecan-s5neoltevl-smg903w.zip
Or
Flash a custom rom & then flash magisk

Ok. I've asked the forum in another thread but no one has replied. I don't understand. We can't be the only two people who own this phone, running 7.0, who want to root the device...
I think I will roolback and flash 6.0. Looks like there is a lot of support and threads showing how to root from 6.0.

See my above post
Also make sure you have enabled usb debugging in dev options
Also look for enable oem unlock & if you see it enable it
And also disable verify apps by adb if you see that too

Ok thank you. I downloaded the cf auto root from the link you provided. I enabled debugging and oem, I disabled "verify apps by USB" not adb.
I'll give it a go...

Well I flashed it using odin. It says "pass" in odin and took a while to boot, but I think it worked. How do I verify? Download an app? And can I flash TWRP? If so, which one?
Thank you for your help

I see SuperSU installed so it worked. Thank you.
Do you know which TWRP I can install now?

I'd guess it would be the following for g903w s5 neo lte
https://dl.twrp.me/s5neolte/twrp-3.2.3-0-s5neolte.img.tar.html
Put in AP section of odin
As soon as the device restarts hold power button Vol up & home button to enter recovery
If you miss the moment to enter recovery for the first time after flashing & your phone boots you will have to reflash the image until you enter twrp for the first time

I managed to get TWRP installed. I tried to install Lineage 15.1 as per this site:
https://www.cyanogenmods.org/forums...-for-galaxy-s5-neo-android-8-1-oreo-download/
and am now stuck in a loop. It installed successfully with no errors but will stay stuck on the Lineage loading screen then revert back to recovery.
Any ideas what may be causing this? Should I install 14.1?

Correct process for flash rom
In twrp
Goto wipe
Advanced wipe
Wipe system data cache delvik/art cache
Install
Select rom zip
Install
Select gapps zip - use mind the gapps arm for lineage os 15. 1 http://downloads.codefi.re/jdcteam/javelinanddart/gapps
Optional install
Select root zip (use magisk)
Wipe delvik/art cache
Restart
If you didn't follow the above that's why it would bootloop
Hi, I'm wanting to root my s5 neo on 7.0 and like you, I'm also and finding it very difficult to find a guide that has a successful ending
I'm new to all this but I did notice that you tried to install lineage 15.1 for sm-g903F but your device is sm-g903w. Could that be your problem?
Have you successfully rooted your device yet?
To be honest I don't really want root, I just want to extract or atleast view all my saved wifi network passwords from the device.
