[SOLVED] DEX virtual keyboard without dex docking station - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

I know threads about enabling DEX [1][2]. I have enabled DEX already by rooting with TWRP and using NOX kernel [3].
But when I connect phone with a third party dongle or even with original Samsung (non-dex) usb-c hub, things work except for the virtual on-screen keyboard. When I click the keyboard icon at the bottom the keyboard only appears on phone but never on external display. This same thing happens on my S9 where DEX works OOB with any dongle. Changing physical keyboard setting to enable on-screen keyboard even with phy keyboard present does not help.
So I'm thinking that virtual keyboard also needs some modification to appear on external display when non-dex dongle is used. Anybody has any idea what would need to be modified? Any pointers?
Thanks!

My bad. If I open settings through DEX there is "DEX settings" and then keyboard/input settings where one can choose location of virtual keyboard - DEX screen or phone screen.

Bluetooth keyboard layout switching

Today I've accidentaly found out how to switch different language keyboard layouts on my Bluetooth HP Wireless Keyboard (the one designed for HP TouchPad). In the past, I always struggled when tried to search for info about switching layouts on BT keyboards on Android. Most of the instructions are outdated (from pre-BT HID Android support era) or very complicated system files hacking.
I have a suspition that my todays discovery is related with the latest firmware upgrade (KK* > LA4). After this update, every time I connect the HP wireless keyboard, it always overrides my input method from NullKeyboard or any other to Samsung's default. Good thing is that you can hide soft keyboard by hitting back button and it doesn't reappear until you touch the screen/text field again. And the best thing is that if you have two (or maybe more) languages activated in Samsung keyboard setting, you can switch layouts by swiping the soft-spacebar (assuming you have the swiping option on in the Samsung keyboard setting menu). Layout is then reflected on bluetooth keyboard too! Perhaps this works with other bluetooth keyboards from other manufacturers too. Also, when you activate one or more layouts, you need to turn off and on BT keyboard once (reconnect in other words).
I just wanted to share this with you, the great community of XDA ;-)

[Q] How to make pointer invisible or reduce size?

I didn't find any information on google, on youtube etc.. Only one thing I can do is change color of the same size mouse or even make it bigger.
My question is - How can i change mouse (yes, if I connect mouse via USB - I will get pointer on my screen) size or even make it invisible?
Is there any directory - png icon or something? Any file where can i edit from true to false?
Am just playing with "Linux deploy" Kali linux OS, crying becouse I can't connect my wlan1 adapter via usb....
I can use my Android mouse there, but - my mouse is 5x bigger than mouse there on that screen, so its annoying so much...

Question Keyboard dead

My keyboard is down. Is there any way to run my desktop computer?
It depends on whether the BIOS is set to lock to boot without a keyboard.
New motherboards allow you to use a mouse in the BIOS. On Windows, you can use the on-screen keyboard.

How do you enable on screen keyboard?
Before logging into Windows, there is a special icon with accessibility.
After logging in, choose Programs/Access Ease/Screen Keyboard.
I don't have the English version of windows so I don't know if the nomenclature I used is correct.

How to enable stylus pointer in on-hover event?

I have Uggos X4Q tv box with Android 11 and Deco LW pen tablet connected by USB to it. When I move stylus over any menu items, I can see changes of this items (lighting), but no pointer cursor. Cursor visible only when I touch pen to tablet. In some apps I can configure displaying pointer when stylus in sensor range of tablet but not touching it (hover event, I think). But it work only inside app. How to change behavior of stylus pointer across OS? I would like to make stylus pointer behavior like classic mouse pointer. May be exist some OS settings to force it. I have a root rights in OS. Or may be exist easiest way to do this by writing app or driver for it? I mean, simple logic in selected API methods, etc.
Please, help.
