how to change shortcuts on lockscreen? - OnePlus 8 Pro Questions & Answers

hi, how can I change these shortcuts to other ones?
for example, I need Phone app at the left, and Whatsapp app at the right.
Can't find any options to change these shortcuts, it's irritating(

That is not possible in stock OOS.
Some custom ROMs have that option.

Please be more specific!
Which rom you use? (stock, rooted stock, CM10 or CM10.1)
Which launcher you use?
Any type of skins?
etc
If you are rooted and use another launcher than BN, check the launcher settings. Often there is a setting somewhere to choose wether or not to scroll wallpaper.

[Q] Changing the Max number of lockscreens

Hi, after searching the web, I couldn't find any way to edit the Max number of widgets in the JB lockscreen, except for editing the MAX_WIDGETS number as stated here:
http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/28813/1
http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/28813/3/policy/src/com/android/internal/policy/impl/keyguard/KeyguardHostView.java
By default, the limit is 5 (the default + 4 others). Is there any app/mod/way to edit this manually? Different ROMs could do this (CM, AOKP probably), but I'll prefer to keep the stock ROM if possible.
Thanks in advance.

(Mi 9T) Always on display - no notifications from apps - working as designed?

I'm using a Xiaomi phone for the first and I've noticed the AOD does not show any notifications at all - just Date,Time and Battery. I've had LG and Samsung before where you could see most if not all the notifications you would in the notification bar but on my 9T there's none of those. Is this how the AOD works in Xiaomi - just clock and date? If it is, it's pretty useless. Is there any alternatives I can use to get this kind of feature on the 9T. Thanks.
Here you have explanations which notifications are on global rom by default on miui rom, and what notification add by EU stuff https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/aod-notification-app-list.50530/post-486802

Thank you for the link. Is xiaomi.eu a ROM that has to be flashed? Is there a way to get those functions without rooting, flashing etc.. I'm really inexperienced and don't want to brick the phone by accident but really want the full AOD functionality :/

You can flash xiaomi.eu rom, i dont know how to add that apps to aod to show notifications.
to flash that rom normally is not difficult, you have good guide here on forum. But first you have to unlock bootloader

If I have a custom ROM installed, how would I update it? Does it happen automatically like with stock MIUI or do I have to flash new version every time manually?

you've two methods to update your custom rom, something called dirty flash and the other method clean flash.
to put it simply as the name indicates, you download the updated buid, but either you directly flash it on top of your
current rom or start clean, by wiping your system first, which one to use, it depends. but obviously clean is always better.
I don't get it too, xiaomi is too lazy. What is the point of AOD with no third party apps support?
Looks like MIUI 11 will be the same.

I fully agree.
Wasn 't the original question "I'm using a Xiaomi phone for the first and I've noticed the AOD does not show any notifications at all"? I know about the restriction of 3rd party apps, but I also receive no notifications at all on the AOD despite of switching it on in the settings.
