Having gaming performance issues after updating to Oreo. Is there anyway to improve games to make them run smoother?
Any particular game or just all? As i don't encounter any issues in gaming.

Mainly with hearthstone but sometimes other games have some lag spikes
South Park Phone Destroyer has started lagging for me since the upgrade.

Gl tools might do the trick...I've used it before in my older devices. U can lower the graphic settings of the app but u won't even notice the difference!! GL tools is very good app

This is a paid app
But the developer was kind enough to provide us with an XDA developer version of the same app
Pls do support him !!!
I do not take credit for any of those works

I'm on nougat and it doesn't work bud, I can't get passed the 3 check marks to install. Bought the app too and tried to do the steps and it just crashes the game...
Sent from my Nexus 6P using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Everytime i try to play a game the audio seems to stutter and slow down when the game drops below 60 frames. Setting the kernel to performance didnt help, and its present on oxygen os and custom roms, both nougat and oreo.
does anyone have a fix for this?
What game are you playing? If it's a demanding emulator (such as PPSSPP), using the Vulkan API instead of OpenGL is a great help. You should also look for cheats to stabilize the framerate.
Dolphin however, lag and stuttering are to be expected when using OpenGL. Unfortunately, Vulkan is useless on Dolphin at the moment, due to missing almost all textures on screen. The devs over there blame the GPU drivers for being faulty, and they're not too willing to work around the issues.
I don't know what to say about any other games with this issue.
Mine is doing this with Animal Crossing Pocket Camp - not exactly the most demanding game. It also does it with FFXV PE (more noticable when casting). The games are playable but the sound issue is annoying.
I am stock rooted, stock kernel, and the issue is present with or without V4A. It has become more noticable with recent (Oreo) updates.
Other games such as the [email protected] rhythm games, Neko Atsume, and Magikarp Jump don't have any problems.
I can confirm this was fixed in the latest update. The changelog included "Fixed sound instabilities during video playback"

Guys, did anyone know how to get 60 fps extreme in pubg mobile on redmi note 7s, don't need any GFX or gltools as pubg is banning people who are using them, so any kernel or anything??? Pls anyone know I I am new in this platform....
Flash corvus os rom. It's made for gaming purpose only. You get 60 fps and also fps meter. It shows that setting smooth and high in game....but runs 60 fps without any gfx tool.
