PixelExperience Stuck on Google Logo After First Boot - Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Questions & Answers

I recently switched from HavocOS to PixelExperience, with flashing Fastboot MIUI ROM in between switching. I re-flashed TWRP and wiped Dalvik Cache, System, Data, Cache. Then Installed the PixelExperience ROM and Magisk (without a reboot in the middle, I just wiped Dalvik Cache and Cache after I installed PixelExperience) and now It has been about 40-50 minutes that the phone is stuck at the logo. What to do next? I'm not even sure if it's stuck or it normally takes about 1-2 hours.
This is the Pixel Experience zip file information:
Version: 10 (Plus edition)
File name: PixelExperience_Plus_lavender-10.0-20200511-1740-OFFICIAL.zip
MD5 hash: 637df5f4fa6888ba37cf90b850267e9e
Date: May 11, 2020 17:40 UTC
Edit:
ADB I used: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
TWRP Recovery I used: https://forum.xda-developers.com/re...overy-unofficial-twrp-touch-recovery-t3921637
Magisk Version : Magisk v20.4
I don't know if these are important, but here are the links to the resources.

I had the same problem with identical versions of pixel experience and magisk. In a completely random way after a reinstallation of the ROM this problem disappeared

3rd try on reinstalling, still nothing, I'm wiping Dalvik, Cache, system and data every time

FIXED: Just did not use Magisk and did not install the TWRP android app and it worked for me

Try it by " formatting data "

Hello, I am stuck on the google logo as well. It is not even booting into bootloader or recovery mode. Please help.

Yeah, It's fixed by now, but I only tried the Android 10 Version, not sure about the android 11 beta one

How long did you wait on the google boot screen?

I was facing the same problem, stuck at the G logo.
Solution that worked for me:
1. Let it boot and be stuck for like 10 minutes, if it does not automatically work
2. Reboot to your recovery (I use TWRP)
3. Go to Wipe and select "Format Data"
4. Reboot
Within 2 minutes I was able to get past the G screen.

hey, if you are stuck in an android logo, it means its the infinite boot-loop thing..
PLEASE make sure you are CORRECTLY trying to get into stock recovery or bootloader.
Here is what to do to get into recovery first:
1- turn off your phone (take the battery out and then put it back in)
2- press and OLD the volume DOWN button + power button
3- Motorola logo appears first, then after a few seconds an 'android ROBOT logo' appears
4- press volume UP and DOWN buttons at once, quickly
5- from the menu choose 'factory reset/wipe-format data'
6- then do 'wipe cache'
7- then do a reboot
see if it helps and you are able to start the phone normally
P.S. don't worry - a bootloop is a considerably easy thing to fix, at least i managed to fix mine yesterday.
good luck

Hi ! Are you sure you took the good rom for your defy ? Is it a regular defy or a + ? Because you need to have the good rom for the good defy version ( at least for gb rom). Then before installing the rom with the recovery, wipe cache and dalvik cahe (in advanced) and even data if you come from 2.x to 4.x. (same thing from 4.x to 2.x).
It would work

Thanks for this method even if I knew it. The first time I tried to flash a sbf it was awefull because nobody says it clearly. Wipe data, cache and dalvik in recovery doesn't work at all I experimented it again yesterday.
Please specify me the good GBROM!

Hi here the one I use : http://www.partage-facile.com/V96TH...nfryortcee_p016_a016_hwp3_service1ff.sbf.html
PS : It's in French but just go on "telechargement gratuit (VITESSE NORMALE)" and then on "télécharger ce fichier"
Follow the steps given by your_login and you should end with a froyo ROM. After it's as usual to install a custom ROM (root , 2nd init, wipes...)
Also when you are in bootloop remove the battery and restart the phone. When there is the blue led with the M logo press volume down and then go into recovery > stable recovery. I think it's better than your method
My phone is bricked after flashing!

[Q] Recovery mode not working, how to fix?

Normally I can figure out these things my self or find somebody else who has this problem, but not this time and It's driving me crazy.
My Nexus 7 is rooted and bootloader is unlocked and I've have been into custom recovery before, but now it don't want to launch the damn thing, it keeps getting stuck on the Android on it's belly with the red !
I've tried:
The normal way - Holding down power button+both volume buttons and then choosing recovery from the menu and with a USB cable attached to the unit. Result = Stuck on Android with red !
From quick boot app and Nexus Toolkit - Rebooting into to recovery, same result. Both with USB cable in and out.
I also tried reflashing the clockworkmod touch recovery from Nexus 7 Toolkit, no errors and I remembered to use the option 5, so the stock recovery image was renamed. Still no good, didn't leave a working recovery behind.
The latest thing I tried was booting the custom recovery without flashing recovery (option 10 from Nexus Toolkit) and then I updated to Android 4.2 Before I rebooted, the temporary clockworkmod touch recovery warned me that I would loose my recovery and my root and if I wanted to fix it, I choose yes to both. My root didn't go away, but I still don't have a working custom recovery I can boot from the bootloader or eg. the quick boot app.
What am I missing here?
To be on the safe side, just reflash CWM. That should fix it.
Sent from my myTouch_4G_Slide using Tapatalk 2
You got stock recovery.
To get the menu, once you see the android with the red "!", press and hold "Power" and then press "Volume Up", then let go of the buttons.
As the previous poster suggested, flash CWM and all shall be better.
Thanks for the fast replies.
I had an idea that It was stock recovery, didn't knew about the button combination, thanks!
I'm gonna try to flash touch CWM again.
And now it works... well that's strange, no idea why it didn't work before, when I flashed touch CWM from Nexus Tookit.
Oh well, I got my problem fixed and at the same time got more clever, thanks again.
Same/similar problem
I flashed the 4.2 OTA .zip from CWM this morning and it worked fine. As expected I lost root. Unexpectedly, I also lost CWM and I have been unable to flash a custom recovery ever since.
I started off trying to re-flash CWM with the Nexus 7 Toolkit v3.2. When that failed a few times, I also tried TWRP with the same result.
When I say "failed" I mean that toolkit flashes with no errors but when I select recovery after flashing, I get the google logo, then a black screen, then the google logo again, and then a normal boot. If I reboot and manually go into recovery mode I get the Dead Android logo and PWR + VOLUP gives me stock recovery, which I guess is to be expected since I am unable to rename the recovery restore files.
After giving up on the toolkit, I downloaded CWM and flashed it manually with fastboot but I'm getting the same results.
Anyone else run into this? I can only assume 4.2 has introduced some incompatibility with existing tools/recovery images so I'm just going to wait and hope someone sorts this out. 4.2 seems to be working fine though I'd like to get root back.

Hm, works fine for me.
After applying the 4.2 OTA I rebooted to bootloader, did a "fastboot flash recovery", went into the CWM directely after flashing it and upon selecting "reboot device now" from CWM it asked me if it should disable the recovery flash from the system.
Working fine since then, no problems.
When I do a "fastboot flash recovery", the image copy appears to work but the Nexus 7 stays in fastboot mode when it's finished. If I manually select recovery, I get the Google logo > black screen > Google Logo > normal boot.
What version of CWM did you flash? I used touch recovery 6.0.1.0 from here: http://clockworkmod.com/rommanager Will try non-touch version today.
It looks like a few others have run into the same problem. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1990904
This could have been a pre-existing problem as I don't think I've used recovery since the 4.1.2 update.

So I finally got a custom recovery installed by doing a "fastboot flash recovery" of the latest TWRP (2.3.1.1) from here: http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/103
Neither of the current CWM recoveries (6.0.1.0) would work for me.
I swear I have been having the exact same problem. I will try the other recovery. Question, is yours a 32 GB version? I doubt it's related but still worth a check. Thanks for your info.

SOLUTION: I've had the problem where recovery won't load, it just displays a black screen and loads back into Android.
It seems that ClockworkMod recovery doesn't work with Android 4.2 (at least, for me). I tried reflashing but that didn't work. I wiped my entire device and used TWRP recovery instead, and now I can get back into recovery.
I downloaded the 2.3.1.1 version, works fine! http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/grouper

Mine is now suck on the dead andoid /!\, I had latest super su with protection enabled.

Do you mean that you cannot get out of the Android with (!) screen? If this is all it is just press and hold power button for about 20 seconds or until screen goes black, and then the device should startup normally.:good:

What version of CWM did you flash? I used touch recovery 6.0.1.0 from here: http://clockworkmod.com/rommanager Will try non-touch version today.
It looks like a few others have run into the same problem. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1990904
This could have been a pre-existing problem as I don't think I've used recovery since the 4.1.2 update.
---------- Post added at 10:36 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:40 AM ----------
So I finally got a custom recovery installed by doing a "fastboot flash recovery" of the latest TWRP (2.3.1.1) from here: http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/103
Neither of the current CWM recoveries (6.0.1.0) would work for me.

Don't you think it would be better to ask in a section of the forums where other people have the same device as you? Why would you ask in another devices forum?

LG G2-D802 , power on - lg logo - black screen, doesn't boot up.

Hello,
I tried installing custom rom on my G2 , here is what I did (more or less)
- rooted the phone - I think with ioroot
- flashed twrp (I think with flashify)
- couldn't boot into recovery, got "Certificate error"
- used autorec
- now twrp recovery worked.
- wiped data / cache / system
- installed Crdroid / lineageos + gapps
- rebooted
And from that point I'm stuck, I get the LG screen for a sec and then a black screen.
To boot up again I flashed the stock rom, but I want custom!!!
what can I do ?
BTW, in some of the guides I saw it said that I need to unlock the bootloader ? but when I try the guide and use the first command to boot into bootloader, all it seems to do is just reboot the system regularly.
did this "adb reboot bootloader" and that is it, "fastboot oem unlock" just said "Waiting for device"
thank you.

connect it to computer. does it shows qhsusb_bulk in device manager? if qhsusb_bulk mode then use unbrick tutorial or use srktool to unbrick...
Nah.
U just didnt flashned boostack.
Go to twrp (power + vol up)
It will ask u abount factory reset. Press Yes 3 times ( dont worry nothing will be erased).
In twrp do again wipe ( system, data, cache, davlik)
Install caf bootstack. In download select ur variant. (https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development/boot-g2-hybrid-bootstacks-t3183219)
Than install rom + gapps.
It should work.

i got the same problem months ago.
it worked fine.:good:
I have the same issue, except I can't get into TWRP. I flashed a bumped stock bootstack and am stuck with the LG logo to black screen. Factory reset screen asks to press power to confirm, just goes back to black screen afterwards. TWRP won't load up no matter the combination. I can get to download mode, if that helps any.

did you manage to fix this? I'm alsostuck at this, flashing stock rom show skipping partition to me.
I ended up using the download mode to flash a Kitkat kdz with the LG Flashtool 2014, then rooted, flashed TWRP with autorec, then ran mr. bump, installed TWRP 3.1.0, and restored my nandroid backup.

You have to enter twrp in hard mode to make a factory reset in twrp and not in settings. Do the following:
- Power off
- Press Vol down + Power. When you see LG logo, release power and press and hold it again
- You will see a white screen. Reply Yes twice (it will ask twice)
- it should boot to twrp again
- in twrp go to wipe and swipe slider to make a factory reset
- reboot system
If it still doesn't reboot to system, make everything I said above and reflash rom. But if you didn't mess with system it should reboot ok without reflashing.

Making a factory reset in android settings also make a TWRP loop. What I said above is the way to solve that loop. Now, if you don't any ROM installed, you need to do it. Even without anything installed you can connect your G6 to PC and copy a ROM to be flashed with TWRP.
I've done this several times, not only with G6 but with other phones also. Just boot to TWRP, connect to a PC and use Android File Transfer to copy a ROM to SD or Internal storage. Flash it and reboot.
yes. i try it. twrp loop again. my internal patrition is empty.
i clear cache, flash rom (fulmics, stock, etc) and reboot to system- twrp loop. always.

Did you enter TWRP using the hard method I said above? If you don't, it will not work. Also, make sure you have decrypted data partition
Did you ever had anything else other than stock rom installed and running? If not, and you to run Fulmics you need to format DATA with the format option (not the wipe one) to decrypt it, then install bootloader for V10T and Fulmics 1.5 (this is explained in Fulmics thread).
Anyway, I can assure you that if you proceed as I said on my first reply, and install Fulmics it will boot properly, it's just the way you enter TWRP that it will make a difference, if you don't use the hard method you will not exit the twrp loop.

Factory reset after dirty flashing Oreo, now only boots into TWRP

So a while ago I had dirty flashed the Oreo update from this link: OREO open to give it a try and see if I could actually get away with a dirty installation. Phone was working ok but battery drain has been enormous, around 30-50% worse than with Android 7.1 especially on idle so I thought ok time to do a proper factory reset by wiping everything (Dalvik, cache, system).
Now, I selected Factory Reset from within the OS (not TWRP) but during the first reboot it booted into TWRP asking me for decryption password, I did a wipe so it forgot all about it but now it only boots into TWRP no matter if I do an Advanced Factory Reset wiping everything via TWRP's menu, phone starts, shows the LG logo for a couple of sec and then TWRP screen shows up.
I am thinking I should flash a stock Oreo recovery in order for the boot to the OS but not 100% sure if this will cause more trouble.

Flash the oreo update zip from westwood or zefie. You can find it in the rom and development section. Search for v20a

Thanks but being impatient, I tried flashing the stock recovery. This seemed to free the booting and reset process, phone showed the LG logo, then for 2 seconds "Deleting" then LG Logo again and I thought the factory reset was in progress. After like half an hour still stuck in LG logo I realized I've probably soft bricked it. Phone only starts and gets stuck in LG Logo. So I entered bootloader and re-flashed TWRP but unfortunately now I can't find a way to boot into recovery (the irony). Phone just starts and gets stuck in LG logo forever, only thing i can do is use Power+Vol down to reboot into bootloader but no way to boot into recovery or even shut it off. Any way to enter recovery at this state and flash the OREO zip?
I realize I should have just waited for instructions but coming from consecutive unlocked Nexus devices i thought the steps and processes would be similar...
Try to discharge the phone completely (to shut it off) and enter download mode (I don't know any other method to do it). With LG UP flash stock kdz from your model, if you search a bit you will find it. This should work. If it don't work I've seen a couple of posts with the same problem as yours, search for the solution there, but if you can enter download mode it should work LG UP.

Thanks for the quick reply. With a bit of Googling I found that you can use volume down to enter stock recovery. This confused me as when I did it I expected to see the TWRP welcome screen. Instead I saw the stock recovery screen which only gives you the option to do factory reset. I did it and then rebooted again into recovery and all of a sudden I saw the TWRP screen! I remember there is something weird with how TWRP sticks to the system or not, again very confusing compared to Nexus devices. Anyway, since I managed to enter Recovery I copied the OREO flashable zip to internal memory and flashed and phone booted fine, now I am waiting to set up a fresh 8.0 installation :good:
