[HELP] Update unknown MCU - Android Head-Units

Hi
I have android headunit in my car with the following details :
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Android Version : 4.1.1
MCU Version : 0.64s
Kernal version : 24.02.37
U-boot Version: 00.01.13
I bought the car with this unit, and almost no built-in app works.
What is frustrating is that the system does not allow applications to be installed! I tried through ADB But he does not recognize the device.
According to this MCU, there is a way to update or install a custom rom?
tried to read how to guide and search for MCU version, but i can't find a match .
Thanks a lot !

The unit is too old and too basic. In this world of multimedia aftermarket everything goes very fast. Imagine that a unit with Android 8.0 is already starting to get old and no updates are appearing, yours is 4.1.1, I'm sorry I can't help you.

Thanks for the quick reply!
In fact, I thought it might be possible to upgrade to Android 5 at least. Or an effective solution for how to work around blocking and installing apps .

I have 10.1 inch HU (http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0194FZPGU)
And I have consulted this same question to the seller and they replied that "The radio do not rooted from the factory, and we also do not suggest you to root it even if you can root it, because it will cause unstable risk to the system. Please note that the man made damage on the radio include the system will not under protective in the warranty period."

Yes, you need to bear the risk for it may become a brick after rooting.

Hi, I've two big problems with the Android unit:
The launcher crashes a lot, and I can't replace it
I want to install Android Auto, but Play Store says that isn't compatible
So I want to fix the problems. Maybe If I root the device, I can change the device model to download Android Auto and also replace the launcher, because I've downloaded another launcher and I can't replace it.
Thank you, and regards.
Today I'll try to install Android Auto via APK. In case I can't root the system.
After install all the Google Services updates, I have be able to install another launchers.
Also, I installed the Android Auto apk and it worked, but it can't handle the bluetooth connection because the system doesn't brings with a Bluetooth native menu.

Chinese mt3561 (evb3561sv), tasker and other apps don't start on boot help!!!

I installed Chinese mt3561 (XY AUTO) in my vw passat.
I have some troubles of using Tasker and other apps those need to start on boot.
Apps don't start automatically, so I need to launch them myself and those work correctly.
I used other system apps to insert in startup, however failed.
As far as I know, It is possible to root the device with kingroot.
How can I solve this problem???
It's working at Android 6.0 and other detailed hardware information is following;
evb3561sv_w_65m0 (full_evb3561sv_w_65_n0)

MT3561
My Android HU has very similar specs as your device. My device has no buttons and I am looking for a way to root the head unit. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Hi ,
Any updates or any luck with rooting ?
I too have this system .
Thanks
Hi,
You can find how rooting in this post :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android-auto/android-head-units/ownice-c500-root-t3558760
If you have 4 cores (MT3561) as I see, just be careful to choose su binary in "ArmV7" folder and not from Arm64
Regards,
You can help me ?
Good morning; I have that same version of Android 9.1 device
but I don't have the configuration manual, can you guide me where can I get it?
I would be very grateful for your help.
regards

Hello, friend.
If I want to do this,
Do I have to proceed in the ArmV7 folder?

hmmm... for me this seems to be a WinCE 6 unit instead of Android.
So I think no one is able to help in an Android forum.
Well, to use easy connection you've to enable debug usb on your phone and install the same app on this.
if you want android Auto on android hard unit, you've to buy5a USB dongle to enable it with slink app

Problems with Eonon GA2189S Head Unit - HELP!

Good afternoon everyone,
I just recently purchased an Eonon GA2189S Head Unit.
Build number: full_825x_Pro-Octa PPR1.180610.011.eng.root.20200426.093427 userdebug
Custom Build Version: android-trunk-p0.825X_Pro
First problem: One of the main reasons I bought this head unit was to use Torque to monitor engine vitals in my 2009 Infiniti G37 Coupe. The unit comes with a preinstalled version of Torque OBD, but when I try to download themes I am met with the following error (I will attach screenshot). It does not matter what type of Wifi I am connected to, whether its the strong signal from my home or the hotspot on my iphone.
When I emailed Eonon, they said their "Engineer" said its "not compatible with their head unit" and that they are "sorry". I sent an email to Torque customer service to no avail.
I'm really not happy, as I have had it running on my Android Phones for the last 2 years with absolutely no issue. But this unit doesn't even have a reboot button! I need a paperclip to reboot the system.
Does anyone have any experience with this android build, and im looking for info on what modifications I can make to the OS. I want my Torque themes to work and I do not want to be limited!
Please advise with any suggestions or tips - thank you all so much!
