Secure folder, knox are not working - Samsung Galaxy A20 Questions & Answers

Hello guys I want you to tell me how can I fix knox security is not working when I got back to stock android 10 (April security patch) how can i fix knox security and make it work again since i can't use secure folder and incognito mode in Samsung internet and other knox feaitures i appreciate your help and thanks!!

Not gonna happen. You tripped the Knox switch. No going back without buying a new motherboard.

Yep, you should read thoroughly about root before rooting, but for root users I think they modify a file named config.prop to make secure folder, Samsung health incognito mode work again, sorry can't provide more info I haven't rooted my devices since three years I forgot it all, maybe others will, in the mean time do some research like "modify config.prop enable secure folder root"

[Q] Does tripping KNOX disable full affect phone performance

Hi guys so I'm really sorry if this has been asked millions of times but what I want to know is, does tripping the KNOX flag open a huge risk to normal system functionality not working? Now I know KNOX tripping, prevents you from using KNOX related stuff but does it stop you from an average joe using their phone normally, installing apps, sideloading apps, using the camera.
Tripping knox does affect on phone performance when back to stock ?
No it does not
Tripping knox stops you using Knox and also voids your warranty
(Well so called void, people i know still making claims with Samsung even tho Knox is tripped)
I tripped a year ago, and my device is like a fine wine - gets better as each day passes
is knox on 0x1 and back to stock rom is disable OTA and kies update or not ?

OTA should update yes, Knox is just a security feature, it does not medal with the OS if its broke / disabled i.e. 0x1
So knox is only for warranty, nothing else is

Pretty much Let me explain in more detail.
Actually maybe not, Have a read here:
http://www.samsung.com/uk/business/solutions-services/mobile-solutions/security/samsung-knox
Its a security feature, The security is rendered usless if you root the device (Trip the Knox)
Imagine you have this device that is encrypted with the highest level of security.
You root the device, meaning the Security is no longer in place as 3rd party apps can have Root access and can meddle with the security.
The device trips itself 0x1 to say DONT use this security any more its pointless
The device has been compromised........
Trying to explain it in a much simpler process
Maybe another way to explain:
The business you work for, Give you a nice shiny note 3, They want you to use this device for Work too, But they are happy for you to use it for pleasure too.
Now the applications the Business will install are private apps, May contain sensitive information or access to the company via VPN or anything.
They company its self would not want to trust a user to install ANY apps that could hijack the phone and attack the company's software / connections
So Knox comes along.
The business installs the Business side on Knox, And you as a user can use the phone normally
Normally cannot touch Knox, and Knox cannot touch Normal
If you trip knox i.e. Root, Then the security is pointless, This then disabled knox - Now the business owner knows of the security breach and none of the company applications or connections have been compromised.
KNOX counters only affect two things: Warranty and the KNOX secure system.
Tripping KNOX is similar to breaking the seal on any piece of hardware. It renders your warranty void. This doesn't mean they won't repair it, just that it'll cost you money. You can always get additional insurance if you worry about it. If you're in the EU it doesn't matter at all. (unless you do something to cause a hardware defect.)
Secondly, KNOX has two parts, the counter and the security container. The latter is an environment on your phone in which you can work and store files. (like a virtual machine.). Any files inside the KNOX container can't be accessed outside it. This is mainly aimed at the business and government market. 99% of regular users do not even enable KNOX's security container. (you have to start it yourself, if isn't active by default.)
Tripping the counter disables the container, for obvious security reasons. (so if you have any files inside they're gone.)
It does not affect anything else.
i had rooted my device a month ago and trapped knox but now i cant even install updates for my device so is there any way to recover it ?
So once u root and trip knox u can't receive ota updates? Is flashing with Odin the only way?
Sent from my SM-G900T using XDA Free mobile app
When you root you can't (and shouldn't) use OTA. When you trip KNOX you can't use OTA.
ODIN is the only option. Any update by any method risks disabling the root method, so think very carefully before updating.
knox
This is like a spam and a virus ,any bussiness owner can modify or block you're phone. I was force to install custom rom because knox block and delete google play on my S9+.Read more on google play reviews who install Samsung Knox Manage.

Install knox on rooted s7 edge

Anyone know how to install knox on rooted s7 edge....
Anyone know how to install a Anti virus on a full infected PC
"Same thing, Knox is a security suit, it isolates part of the system. keeping the security of a device, Rooting your device breaks this security rendering it useless"
Even if KNOX is 0x0 and rooted "Theoretically" it still checks for root access.
The only way is to go back to Stock. Thus is the exact reason we issue devices with Knox, To stop people rooting the device and granting them-self access to parts we wish to not be accessed (The reason list is endless)
This has been asked many a times before on CF-Root thread

s health and secure folder doesn't work after updating to 7.0

hi guys
i have a problem in some apps and features
i was in 6.0 and install xposed and root then i update to 7.0 , now i can't use s health and secure folder it giving me these messages
i try to re install the update from odin with the 4 files then i try from Smart Switch the emergency software recovery and initialization , and it is give me the same problem
s health saying your device has been compromised (0x110060561)
secure folder cannot be set up because unauthorized software was installed on the device
Then you most likely tripped KNOX at some point. With the latest updates, if KNOX is tripped, Samsung blocks you completely from the program.
Youre going to have to re root, then follow this guide for S Health.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/how-to/guide-how-to-s-health-devices-knox-t3543306
I can't offer any advice on Secure Folder, as I don't use that feature at all.
I know my replies can be long, but would rather give too much info, than not enough.
- Files are updated in accordance with the firmware at SER G935FXXU1DQB7;
- Full support for the work and Knox;
- Full support for the work and Secure folder (a hidden folder, you can turn on and off switches in the panel);
- Supports Samsung Pay (you can enter completely all card details, but after checking the card in 5 seconds says there is no connection to the server).

You have to reroot, you already tripped Knox

i was have same problem with s health and below solve the issue :
i downgrade to Android 6.0.1 by using odin and in CSC you should use CSC_OJV file (not HOME_CSC_OJV ) and then use s health for one time and after that let device update OTA to android 7 again
Just root your phone. Then flash all dm variety and super super su files. then flash superstock kernel. Knox and secure folder will start working. But for S health you will have to change build. Prop value..
Scroll down to ro.config.tima=1 change it to 0. and save. Reboot your phone. and boom it will start working

Issue is due to tripping your knox.
How can i fix it
Once Knox is tripped that's it there is no 'fix'
At the moment the only way to fix is replace motherboard or buy a new phone
Just means you cannot use some Samsung related apps like secure folder,Samsung pay Samsung private browser etc.

Eh, that's not a bad thing... There are plenty of way better alternatives on Gplay or F-Droid
There are 3 potential ways around it:
1. Custom ROMs based on stock that software set the Knox to be 0x0 (not tripped).
2. Use Magisk and hide your root on that app in particular.
3. Download a modded APK of Samsung browser that doesn't check for root

How to disable Knox in A40?

Hi,
I own a samsung galaxy a40 frm my old job. Everytime I try to set it up, It ask me for knox enrollment. I also tried to flash it back using Odin, but always asks me for enrollment.
This phone was my old job's phone, and they never asked me to bring it back to them. I've been waiting for it to happen for more than 6 months but they never called me, I also tried to talk to IT manager, but she told me I can use it to myself, but she can't remove it from knox database? because of enterprise's rules...so now I'd love to use for my personal use.
The problem is that I don't know how to manage in order to uninstall or disable knox.
Please, anyone who could try to help me? I don't want tjhis phone to get old in a drawer...
Thanks in advance
Regards
This thread is for you:
Installing forbidden apps, apk's and even Root Samsung Knox protected phones (Rooting still trips Knox warrenty)
Not sure where to post this exactly as I didn't find any Samsung Generic thread. So: if this is going to be moved somewhere else that's fine. The backdoor I found should be working on any Samsung device running Android 12 with Samsung Knox 3.8...

Thank you very much. Using Passfab I'm able to open a web browser, install some apks and access to settings, but I'm still unable to enter development settings because of knox. Also, In every reboot, I have to launch passfab because knox enrollment asks me to contact to company's gateway... So, I'm not sure what muy next step shold be in order to disable knox, or at least, be able to use my phone as normal, being able to install apps, reboot phone, and maybe rooting it...
I appreciate a lot your post, but I'm not sure if it is ussefull to me. Maybe I'm lost in translation ad it should be somethinb obvious I'm not understanding...
Regards
I gave you a thread to ask questions on it. I am not a knox removal expert.
Yes, I also asked them.
Thank yu very much for your help
