How to get rid off this annoying notification ?
insufficient storage space
I have clean data and dalvik cache but the problem remains the same. If I have internal space less than 230MB I get this anoying notification.
Also I have link2SD and move the dalvik cache to an external ext4 partition but I get all the time this notification.

i found that the camera took out a lot of space on storage memory after i tried take quite many shots and then delete it... any way/program can limit the cache or clear the cache or move the cache to memory card?

Hi all,
I am using capychimp ROM v2.0 based on Roger Eclair.
I have moved my app to SD card as I only have 60MB internal memory left.
But after I did that, I now cannot upgrade/install most of the app 'cause of "Insufficient storage" error.
I have 512MB ext3 and only move the app folder to SD. I follow the instruction here: http://code.google.com/p/android-roms/wiki/A2SD
Any1 has any ideas abt this
right, after 1 hour of searching I find out that I need to clear cache partition through fastboot, re-flash recovery image then clear dalvik cache also and reboot. Now my cache is 60% full, still a huge amount isn't it #:-S, but thanks God everything seems to be fine now, a bit laggy :-<
Argh!!! The /data/data partition is just too darn small!
I have plenty of internal phone storage but because the /data/data partition is only 150 MB and my partition is only showing 14MB free, I get the low space warning. Very frustrating. Does anyone know of a way to fix this issue shy of uninstalling a bunch of apps. I've already gone through and cleared the cache on most of the apps that are in there. This only got me to 17MB free though.
Hi,
I installed S2E and it has freed space by moving cache. When I unmount sdcard the phone stops working as if lost power. I need to replace battery and reboot. I suppose that some apps would need cache which causes this problem. any work around ?
Regards,
Miten.
There is no work around for that if you use s2e apps2sxt etc. I guess you could use terminal or adb and copy the files from the ext partition to your internal data, but that would be a hassle.
I will not recommend moving applications and private apps, just move dalvik cache and download cache. should solve ur problem.

Dears,
I just bought my S5, suddently unpgraded to Lollipop.
Briefly, I can install 50% of the apps I had before, it's going out of storage.
I did a full wipe after upgrade, so there's no wasted space in the storage.
I couldn't find a partitions scheme, some I'm here to ask if this numbers are normal:
There's a lot of data in the cache, I need to frequently wipe it.
But overall, tapping used space I see in detail 7.5GB of applications, while going to application manager and summing all applications' size I arrive to 3.4GB only: it seems there's 4GB lost somewhere:
Anybody noticed the same?
Where can I check partition sizes for the S5?
Thanks everybody and best regards.
Factory reset after upgrading to Lollipop, KK leaves rubbish files behind and cause more problems than just lack of storage
Also remember now with LP, it uses ART instead of DALVIK, which means app sizes will be bigger
Well, I've been doing it, same problem after several days.
Also, I actually have 350MB of cache, 800MB free, but of I don't clear the cache I can install nothing, Play returns not enough free space...
Possible it partitioned 4GB for "private mode" I forgot to disable it when I rooted and now everything is showing I only have 12GB and trying to find out how to recover that partition and add it back to the internal storage partition currently. Try turning "private mode" on and see if your storage page shows a chunk of space used for that
