Goodnight.
I have a Mate 8 with Android 6.0, Emui 4.0, software version NXT-L09C212B120 and model NXT-L09
With some problems I installed root to my device, so far I have already unlocked Bootloader, I installed TWRP 3.0.2.0 (I installed several versions that did not work, and with problems I found one that when starting always asks to select language and slide the bar, to unlike others that I watch in videos enter the main screen) but at least it is functional, and I also installed the SuperSU.
But I don't know exactly how to update my device to Android 7 while preserving the Root and I don't know which version is best for me to install.
I hardly understand English, but as far as I understand I have to download the ROM corresponding to Android 7 exclusive to my device version and I imagine that another SuperSU for that version and install them with TWRP, is that correct?
If so, what specific version should I install and from where?
I also need to install another TWRP for Android 7?
Does any on this link work for me?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/general/android-7-0-n-nougat-beta-huawei-mate8-t3452909
Do any of the versions have the battery upgrade?
My goal is to use this device to play Pokémon Go with fake GPS as a system application avoiding GPS jumps. And if it is the case of being compatible install Pokémon Masters.
Beforehand thank you very much.

I have a H815AR SN:508 from Movistar Argentina with Android "H815AR20a_00_0504" firmware, no root and no open bootloader.
Today, out of nowhere it started to bootloop and I tested everything and it seems it's not going to survive, so tomorrow I'm sending it to claim warranty. this is no news as it seems a know problem and there's nothing I can do.
The actual news is that, while trying to recover the phone, I tried with LG Bridge and the "update error recovery" (while booting in download mode) and it download "H815AR20a_00_0511" firmware. Sadly I can't say anything about this firmware as my phone doesn't boot, but if someone wants to give it a try, I can upload the file to the web. Let me know.
UPDATE: after having a replace, I updated the new unit with the 511 fw. Here my comments:
- The boot animation is Movistar branded (not the typical LG animation)
- Android 6.0
- Android security 2016-05-01
- SW ver V20a-SSV-TLF
and no bloatware.
Hi, anyone can tell me if I can install this kdz with LGUP, like I did with H81510G_00.kdz ? Thanks

A friend of mine has a 815ar with personal. Is it posible to flash 815ar free room and/or flash the new nougat version form european room. Is necesary to unlock bootloader? I am almost sure that nougat will not arrive to this carrier locked device. Marshmallow arrived 1 year and half later.

Hi!
I have an Huawei P9 Lite, it was a Mexican AT&T version (VNS-L23C212B130) and I follow some tutorials and now my device have the "International Software" (C605B362 nougat).
I'll explain you how i did it.
First I openned the bootloader and installed TWRP, I flashed L31 customization to open both sims.
After that I installed C605B120 Marsmallow compilation and I locked thw bootloader again flashing the B120 compilation throught DLOAD method.
Then, usin firmware finder software I got Nougat update and I installed it using the proxy to send the updates to Huawei's updater.
My phone works so cool but... Today I installed Firmware Finder again to teach how to update to a friend and...
Now FF is completly white, no compilation is shown and if I want to search my firmware is introducing my model manually. The new updates I cannot install it throught the Firmware Finder proxy...
It's a bug, it isn't fully compatible with Nougat or what happens?
The new OTA updates will arrive to my phone?
Sorry for my english and my extensive post but i have this doubt. Thanks

Ok, when I was in B120 I update to D126 like a video in youtube, then i update it directly to 362 and it was the result. How can I repair it? You know how I can to reflash the nougat or maybe the MM to update first to 124 and then 362?
Do you think that It can bring me problems with another update?
If you know a tutorial to rollback to MM C605B120 without brick my phone or something like that I'll be grateful.
My mistake, it was the b126 that install, how i see you have a good install, so you will not habe problem with next update...

Hi.
A few weeks ago I updated to android Nougat on my J5 Prime (If useful, I upgraded via odin since my 6.0.1 installation was rooted).
But to be honest, I miss some features of 6.0.1 and I'm having some issues with 7.0
I tried downloading the original firmware of 6.0.1 from sammobile (using the same variant I did for 7.0 that would be Argentina - ARO) and tried to flash it with odin. However I got a message saying "sw check fail device 2 binary 1". Anyone knows how to fix this? I really need to go back to 6.0.1 for a lot of reasons.
Any help is appreciated.
Are you able to boot to recovery options?
I'm in the same situation. I miss some things of the 6, but since I've upgraded to 7, I can't downgrade anymore
Hello, if you updated your devices via an ota update you CANT (only 1 way) downgrade anymore, because of the bootloader update. Have a nice day
The way i was talking about: Find your old bootloader version and flash it via odin, make sure "bootloader update" checked.
I want to install some rom and take advantage of it

Hi dude,
I saw that you posted in different threads
asking almost always the same thing..
Surely I can tell you that there is
a shortage of stock roms and this
limits the updates and rebrands.
Your device runs Emui 4.x.x/android 6,
this limits you, as the few custom roms
available provide a basic version
of android not inferior to android 7.
Theoretically it is possible
to make a rebrand of your device
to a version that offers more firmware
upgradable to android 7
(L21C432 Europe fits perfectly as an example).
For all this it is necessary to unlockthe bootloader
(for a fee / 4 € or through a brute force / free),
the installation of a TWRP and
certain files such as an OEMinfo
and appropriate firmware.
Try to base your searches on this information,
I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for.
If not reply here, maybe I or someone else
could give you a hand..
Cheers

If you have a Telefonica C521 ,(not Movistar), you can try to upgrade to A7 VNS-L23C521B304 using the dload method.
Download links:
update.zip
Update_data_full
But it doesn't make much sense, because other updates are not available. And there is no rollback package available either, so you can't even rollback to A6.
The only solution is what Mr. @Dadditz suggests.
I started this thread specifically for the K2001Q T3 models.
The T3/T3L has quite a few different firmwares and I am not sure if they can be exchanged and will work properly so I suggest to only load this only models that show K2001Q. The Q stands for Android 10. If you have any other K2001 models, this update will try but not work as changing Android versions can only be done using the .img file and I am not aware of any Android 10 .img file being available as yet.
If you radio shows K2001N but says Android 10, it is showing Fake Android 10 as N is Android 7. You can try this update but it will fail.
To confirm which model you have, go to Apps, Car settings, System settings, System Info. It must say K2001Q. MCUVersion doesn't matter.
I have attached a sample picture. It is also the latest firmware available for this model that I received from the manufacturer. I will post in this thread from now on as the previous thread has the T3 P1 model which this is but the K2001Q seems to be different firmware or has some different chips so might not be compatible with the other firmware. That model has the car settings in the Android settings menu which is completely different.
To update, download the zip file, rename it to update.zip, put it on the root of your flash.
Go to Apps, Car Settings, System settings, System Update. It should say there is an update available and you hit start. Unit will be reset back to factory once done. If the radio had DSP & Car Play, it will still be there when you update.
For changing the launcher (No aftermarket launcher is supported), do the following:
Apps -> Car Settings -> System Settings -> Factory Settings (Password is 16176699) -> Style Settings (Password is 111333). I prefer Style 3.
Car settings has a lot of new stuff. Like Desktop Settings. No idea what it is and I just received this firmware today to it will take time to figure it out. Factory settings -> Customized settings ... has a lot of options. Sleep, Voice control (never tested this), etc. If you need to change something, it will be there.
There are risks updating your radio so please do so at your risk. I did not write this firmware or own it or confirm it will work correctly for you. Try make sure you be as careful when updating as bricking your radio will
mean you will stuggle to fix it as no .img file is available to flash the radio directly.

New update was given to me on 15/08/2022.

I have just started testing the above and it will take a few weeks to see if there is any downsides to updating the radio. So far, Radio app is the different version with the circle but it now does save settings when closing and reopening the app.
**Do not update if your radio is not on 1024x800 resolution as the update will cause problems with the unit and it will not display correctly.

I have seen toolbox allowing the connection to the OBDII but I have only tested Torque Pro.
Yea in the tool box and it pair but doesn’t connect, even with torque pro, also I notice that my physical buttons ar not working :/

Which version of Torque pro are you using? I use the one from elm327.com. Download the apk and install it. I started Torque pro, then minimized it and went to tool box. Then sync'd it there. Then went back to torque pro and it showed it under bluetooth in the settings. It then connected to the OBD2 and worked fine.

I have had no GPS issues since the update. I always mount it on the windscreen though and not inside the dash for better signal.
