Internal storage is encrypted (twrp) - Redmi K20 / Xiaomi Mi 9T Questions & Answers

So guys i f'ed up badly , after updating pixel experience rom i got stuck. my phone would only boot to fastboot mode so i thought of moving my internal storage data to pc through twrp but before doing that i cleared data and now my internal storage is encrypted . Is there's any way i can retrieve my files ?

The easiest way to solve it is to boot into recovery, format data and install the rom. Because i suppose you can not boot the phone?

Accidentally Wiped Internal Storage in TWRP

I was flashing a new ROM and accidentally ticked the option to wipe "Internal Storage." Now, I cannot access any files because they have obviously been deleted. I am stuck in TWRP with nothing to flash and no OS installed. Is there some way I can fix this?

Unroot your phone to factory image then root again.
OR flash clockmod revoir to access storage (haven't tried b4 thou)
Reboot into the boot loader (Hold down power and volume down) and and then fast boot the factory image.
Google "how to restore nexus 4 to stock, fast boot"
http://forums.androidcentral.com/ne...3923-guide-nexus-4-factory-image-restore.html
it's easy.

Just ADB Push your files connecting your phone to the PC while TWRP is on.
i also want to wipe internal storage using twrp in my nexus 5. i have my rom in flash drive. can i flash the rom that I have in my flash drive if I mount it after I wiped internal storage?
Current TWRPs support MTP, all you need to do is wipe the storage and plug your phone into the PC. Just make sure that MTP is checked in the "mount" menu of TWRP. You can then proceed to put the ROM's zip onto the internal storage and flash like you normally would.

No internal storage mounted. No booting

I'm having trouble with my nexus7. When booting, it shows the android and a START. The only thing it lets me to is RESTART BOOTLOADER.
START or RECOVERY gives a message BOOTING FAILED.
Cannot re flash the stock recovery (doesn't work in adb, nexus7 toolkit)
I can flash a temp recovery and they tell me that nothing will mount. sdcard, system, cache, nothing. They also say INTERNAL SPACE 0MB.
I was changing kernels and it bootlooped. Then trying to restore in recovery, the whole internet storage has gone missing.
Is there any way to remount the storage? Maybe it's dead... I have a spare parts nexus 7.. is there any way to take the storage out and place it in this one?
Thank you. ahhh.

Twrp internal storage shows 0mb.

How to solve data encrypted on twrp and shows internal memory 0mb?I doesnt have any backup? My all data is on risk?
I am on twrp 3.1.1 official. My phone is redmi 3s prime.
Plzzz give its solution
ur partition is wiped i think
flash a fastboot rom and then put twrp again
i have the same issue. after a faulty app update through playstore, my phone kept a bootloop. I wanted to save my data via twrp, but just see sd card 0 mb. would really appriciate if someone can provide me some feedback.
Format data
In that case u want your internal storage size restored.
You have to format data(removes all data)
There is an option Under 'Wipe Menu' in twrp called 'format data'.

TWRP fail to mount internal storage

Recently I installed nitrogen os, everything work fine. the problem is when i boot into twrp, it only can mount system and cache. I cannot format data in twrp. I tried to install different version of twrp but the result is the same. Anyone know how to fix it?
This is known, it's some bug in the Oreo builds of some ROM. This method will wipe all your data, including your internal storage: Go to fastboot mode, and type in: fastboot format userdata, then wait for it after that you can flash any ROM again. Good luck :good:
Thx a lot
Internal storage Mount in twrp
Same issue I'm having RR Rom i use

[miui11] Rolled back from V11-10 to _V11.0.2.0- Phone's internal storage is messed up

Hi Guys,
It's all in the title really, I have tried rolling back from the latest MIUI stable rom 20.1.9_v11-10 to my previously run V11.0.2.0 , this got my phone (mi9t) stuck in a bootloop. After going into recovery mode, I have realized the internal storage folders are all messed up, with the folders names showing in an odd combination of number and letters (Something like: 9KJJGDKJ).
The phone still mounts via USB to the laptop, by I'm unable to transfer any files to the internal storage. And as such, I'm currently unable to flash it with a ROM.
I'd appreciate any advice on this, hopefully one that would also help me salvage the files and data I have on my internal storage.

For backup have you tried running adb command "adb pull /sdcard _(here specify any location in your pc such as C:\x\) from CMD when in TWRP? And for flashing ROM you can use "adb push (ROM zip location and destination such as C:\x\anyrom.zip /sdcard/)" and flash ROM .zip from your sdcard root in TWRP AFTER factory reset and wipe system from TWRP. Remember factory reset will erase your internal storage. Hope it helps. Good luck.

Well, it looks like you phone is encrypted and the only way is to format data, and did you format data before doing the downgrade?
Do you have TWRP?
You need to format data, internal memory encrypted.
Boot to TWRP
Format DATA
Reboot to TWRP
Transfer xiaomi.eu rom and flash
Reboot

I would try another recovery, sounds like something is corrupt with the twrp version. Have you tried Orangefox?
I had the same problem. Only thing that works is formatting data. A different twrp wont work. I tried 3 different versions all the same.
Thanks guys, already formatted my sd card yesterday and then I was able to re-flash the Android Q update.
My data is lost tho. Thank you all for your input here.
