[TOOL] Nbench for Android

Hi!
Just released Nbench 1.1. Android NBench is a native port of BYTE's BYTEmark CPU benchmark.
The benchmark was designed to expose the capabilities of a system's CPU, FPU, memory and C compiler performance. Supports Arm v5, Arm v7, x86 and Mips32 CPUs. Only a SINGLE core is benchmarked.
What's interesting about nbench is that the results can be published and seen on http://www.tux.org/~mayer/ and lets you compare your Android phone with desktop computers or high-end servers (Nbench even worked on i386 processors!).
It's also interesting to test for ndk performance regressions, for example, I found gcc 4.6.0 was much slower than gcc 4.4.3 with -O2 optimisation.
The latest version was compiled with ndk 8e, gcc 4.6.0 and -O3 optimisation.

I wonder, how compiler used may have difference on..test..hmmmm. I mean - someone has kernel/rom made with -o3, others have -o2, then how -o3 for bench can have impact on -o2 based roms/kernels..hhheh...confusing, isn't it?
Benchmarking matter is difficult, i suppose....

That's because nbench is a native benchmark: it's compiled with a C compiler and it's not a java program.
Moreover Rom optimisation has no influence on nbench because it's a CPU benchmark.

To my personally I like more the cortex a15, feel that it is most optimized.
Über 6 gave me lag and everything was going somewhat slower.

Anyone tried this beautiful creation....?

I tested this kernel for a few days and at the moment I'm very happy with it

How about comparing this kernel with the Stuxnet?

Both are seeking stability and are almost perfect, but it's just test them and look which is suitable for your daily usage [emoji13]

Because it is the mako hotplug and is better than the Mp decision.
And it is not good to have both.

Disables Mp decision and makes cache wipe and Dalvík from the recovery.

Hi guys, I am using the V2 Amateratsu. Can anyone suggest to me that in my CPU Hotplug section, my CPU Frequency Unplug Limit should set at what value so that I can save my juice? I am a newbie with kernel.
My current setting in CPU section (Kernel Adiutor)
CPU Maximum Frequency: 1497MHZ
CPU Minimum Frequency: 300MHZ
CPU Governor: conservative
Multicore Power Saving: Saving
Sync Threshold: 1190MHZ
Input Boost Frequency: 960MHZ
I aim to maximize my juice as much as possible. I am not a game freak, I just play some candy crush and tap titans.

And also max frequency seems to be always 2265 then whatever u set..

I feel the same too, now revert back to V1. And there is a bug I face in V2, the CPU maximum frequency seems keep bouncing back to 2267mah after a reboot.

In htcmania are reporting to me the same thing but I don't notice any lag and the tester gave me the go-ahead to publish it.
I will upload another version with reversed changes and removing MSM Limiter and Powersuspend.

But v1 is nice & smooth currently switch back to v1 from v2 and testing with some tweaking

I flashed Aspiration v 1.5 in hades . But WiFi doesn't connect in that .it shows failed to obtain up address. Dev please look into to that. Hats off for safety net fix in Aspiration v1.5 ?

Please do that safetynet thing in v2 also. It's nice no other mm kernels has that feature.

Yes it does pass Safety Net.But v1.5 has broken wifi.I'll look forward to fix asap
