Hello.
I have an LG G2 802 that i managed to royally screw up last night, I was about to install the new firmware update for my phone, completely forgetting that i had a custom rom installed on it. After the firmware update was finished downloading, the phone rebooted into TWRP and would not boot normally after that, could not boot into the previous custom rom i had installed... I decided to wipe all the data, and try to use an old backup i had laying on the internal storage, got to it, wiped all data and started recovering the old backup. But the revovery wasn't working properly and it gave me an error, after fiddling around with TWRP a little more, i went into wipe -> advanced wipe -> and wiped everything, because i had an idea that i could just force a new rom over by ADB from my PC, and this all resulted in that I have no operating system, the phone boots into TWRP all the time, I've tried to hard reset it, but it just boots into TWRP whatever i do
Please help
Just flash a new KDZ over it. And next time check XDA if someone had the same problem as you and you will find the solution.
I've done a quick search about flashing a new kdz, and they involve getting into download mode, I can't access download mode, it just sends me to TWRP no matter what i do

Are you able to boot into download mode?
---------- Post added at 09:42 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:40 AM ----------
Ok Hold the power button until the phone flashes twice and then let go off the power button. When it's off, hold volume up and then connect it to USB simultaneously.
I just tried doing that, held the power off button until the LG logo flashed twice, the phone turned off, and then i held volume up button, LG logo appeared and then it just went straight into TWRP

For those who have similar issues, I did the below steps:
1. While connected to computer in CWM recovery, install the drivers via PdaNet (these replace any original LG drivers)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1983470
2. Connect to phone via ADB while still connected in CWM recovery (see below ADB download if you didn't already have it or forgot where it was)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2317790
3. While connected via ADB you can use the same method as in the below thread (use the first one).

Tried it, it turns off, then the notification light at the top of the phone (beside the front camera) blinks 8 times if i constantly hold the volume up and power button, as soon as i release power button and volume up, the phone boots with the LG logo and then goes into TWRP.

What he meant was, hold the Volume Up button & connect the phone to your PC. Don't have to hold power button at all. Try this mate.

When the notification LED starts to blink, let go of both buttons for a split second and hold them back again. Make sure USB is connected. Since you have TWRP working, Download should also be available.

The problem is that you have to have the phone off to even attempt to get in to download mode.

If i try to power off the phone WITH the usb cable connected to it, it just reboots automatically, so i cannot power off the phone without it rebooting all by itself, and then going into TWRP.
I tried to hold volume up and power while my phone was in TWRP and it rebooted, LG logo came up and then the red notification light started blinking, then i tried to do what you told me to, quickly release volume up and power button, while the LED was blinking, but nothing happened, other than the phone just rebooting, and then the LED started blinking red again, this just looped over and over again...
Turn it off, hold volume up and connect USB cable. Does it go to download mode?

I had the same problem, stuck on logo lg , when i tried to go to download mode, i got stuck in the first step of it (i can't see the step with firmware update etc...) and when i tried to make a factory hard reset, it goes on the recovery mod.
After seeing many forums since 3-4 days, i tried to flash the kitkat kernel, so i used the adb sideload ---> so connected on recovery mod, then make install from sideload, then on your command (on windows) type adb sideload thenameofthekernel /sdcard/ and normally the recovery should install himself the kernel and you can reboot your phone
I still have an issue, can't access on download mode but i can use the phone as before, so if anyone can help, i listen you ^^

Hold down the power button till the it turns off and keep it held down the LG logo will flash up again then go off after that release it and wait a few seconds making sure the phone does not boot up again. Then hold down the volume up button and with the usb connected to the computer plug the USB into the phone this should then put it into download mode.
Why don't you sideload a rom in twrp recovery via adb?

I am in the same boat as you. Dont' know what to do.
When I try to boot into download mode - I see the initial screen but computer doesn't detect anything
Last week, my yotaphone 2 informed that there is a system update from yotaphone. I downloaded and updated but then my phone cannot work. It show only black start screen with word "Android" until battery empty.
I tried to android recovery mode (hold power and volume up),
it show that the error is "e:cannot load volume /misc!".
And I do not know how to solve that problem.
Please help me!

You can probably recover.
To reflash a full firmware image you could try the relatively user-friendly yotaflasher application and ROM images from here. I haven't used this myself, but it's software by Yota, so should be safe. You can ask it not to touch /data, to preserve apps, settings etc.
A less user friendly way to reflash a full firmware image:
- Download a full firmware image (EU 1.60 flashable version here, let me know if you require a different one)
- With the phone off, press vol down + power until you see "Downloading ...."
- If you can't turn the phone off normally, keep vol down + power for at least 15 seconds till phone reboots, keep holding till you end up with "Downloading ...."
- connect to a PC with adb+fastboot with a USB cable
- You can now boot TWRP image (fastboot boot recovery_twrp_yd201_alpha2.img , see here.
- if you have important files on your phone, you can back them up now by using adb shell/adb pull (e.g. adb pull /sdcard/Pictures/yeti_sighting.jpg)
- In TWRP go to advanced -> sideload and confirm
- now you can sideload a ROM image from the PC with adb sideload <image>.zip, it should show progress while it's uploading the firmware. If it errors, you probably haven't confirmed initiating sideload in previous step.
- wipe cache&dalvik and reboot
thank you, the first way worked and my phone runs normally now.
thank you
Help please

Root the phone using methods written on this forum > download build 1.60 flammable zip > flash that.
If all you want is Google apps then root the phone then download and flash a gapps package. The full Yota build zip is recommended though.
Can't download yotaflasher application from the link... does anybody have the exe file?

Just click on the YotaPhoneFlasher folder then click the file (yotaphone2_flasher.exe), and save to your harddisk.
Or you can try this link straight to the yotaphone2_flasher.exe file.

Dude I've just bought my phone, and it has the same problem. But I'm a complete noob, how did you fix it? Please, i've just bought it.
On RU build 134 when I tried to swap users my user with Defaut user, the phone blocked, the display is on (time is the same when first happend - just a freeze image) but I can't do nothing on phone. Is a way to reset? because on a normal way I would remove battery but yota dont have this option.

The analogue method of pulling out the battery is pressing the POWER button for at least 10 seconds. The phone will reboot.
Thanks, I pushed vol down + Power and the phone restarted normaly.
PS: If you know where to get a book from Алекса́ндр Солжени́цын - Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn to read on yota display, send me.

You need to keep pressing the power up button after the showing of "POWERED BY ANDROID", the power does not need to be pressed after then.
If you can still not reach recovery, you probably have a broken recovery (maybe wrong version) and something else is messed up.
When you flash recovery, you need to instantly go into recovery mode by pressing +/up on calling the according command
(fastboot reboot).
It does not look like you changed file system related things, did you change anything on your system/with root permissions?
Are you sure the installation process went without failure etc?
Getting out the cause (kernel logs etc) would be a bit hard without getting into recovery mode[and maybe also nonworking kernel], like stated out here

Hi. Previously I flashed latest TWRP on my B03 Oreo in attempt to root my device but seems like TWRP not mount the internal memory. So I found this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/how-to-fix-unable-to-mount-data-t3830897 and followed it but then I stucked at "Your device software can't be checked for corruption. Please lock the bootloader." screen.
I also cannot force shutdown the phone, pressing multiple combinations of power button and volume buttons also doesn't effect the phone at all. Now, i am waiting for the phone's battery to drain until zero. Maybe anyone can help me? If I can boot into EDL, I can reflash back the firmware of my phone and maybe that will solve the problem.

I follow that thread because my TWRP do not mount the internal sd card in the recovery mode.
I actually used Nfound version of TWRP but it never boot to recovery mode at all.
I cannot press anything at the screen right now. The screen seems to stuck. Is there anything I can do via wire to pc other than adb since adb cannot detect that screen as either edl or fastboot or adb mode.

I have a similar problem. My Axon 7 stuck in EDL mode, but no software can connect via USB. No button works, screen is of, no LED. Only sign of life is the 9008 com device in device manager, when I connect it with USB.
I've put it into the freezer right now, to wait until the battery drains. But I think it will take a while, because it was nearly full and the screen is off and not much energy is used for EDL mode.
Any other ideas guys?

Solution: Got it back to life by draining the battery in the freezer.
I am in the same position, but with no OS and now cannot get to TWRP. Toolkit and MiFlash do not see the device.
Heading for the freezer.

if they don't see the device, then you are not stuck in EDL...?
How do you see the phone in the device manager? Or do you see it at all?
Otherwise you're putting it in the freezer for pretty much nothing, as it'll still not be recognized after you charge it again. you might damage the battery (reduce its capacity).

I had been flashing bootstackers and matching roms to no avail. Error 08 on TWRP twrp-3.2.3-0-ailsa_ii .
Now, after letting it just sit for a day (?battery discharged), it won't boot into even the warning screen and definitely no recovery.
Disconnected from the PC, Power button gives a brief red led flash. Power held gives a 3 sec red led. Power + Vol + and - in various combos , just the 3 sec led.
Attaching to the PC gives this white screen, which goes off after a couple of seconds. Power button brings it back on, and it stays on, until I disconnect from the PC. Holding power for 15 secs while connected turns the screen off, and pushing power again turns it back on, or sometimes it comes back spontaneously with a few lines across the screen.
Power & Vol +/- combos just bring back the white screen with a few more lines...
It does not show up in device manager, but momentarily is seen by Axon toolkit as an ADB!
Thanks for any guidance you can give.

You can just attach screenshots to xda, i can see them that way too.
I really want to see this white screen, that sounds very weird. If you can get it to be recognized as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 then you're going to be able to flash whatever from EDL Tool.
So this means you CAN enter TWRP? If you are in TWRP then your phone is just saved, because you just need to know what to flash...

I just managed to flash A2017G_B10_FULL_EDL, but I had to hold vol+ and - throughout the process! I used Axon 7 toolkit and Miflash 2016.08.30.0. Just going to reboot and factory reset now. Thx for your help C a U.

Now that I checked my response wasn't even sent lol. Good that you could fix it on your own. Just a heads up, you should use EDL Tool (or standalone MiFlash) instead of axon7toolkit, axon7toolkit is outdated and finicky already.
I was messing with my P10 Lite and I accidentally wiped the Vendor partition (not sure if I wiped anything else) with TWRP. After the phone rebooted it said something about a critical error during boot and went into erecovery. It gave me two options( I don't remember the second one) and I chose factory reset. It started doing it's thing but I guess something went wrong because it wasn't able to boot and it started to bootloop.
I managed to get into fastboot once. The bootloader and FRP should be unlocked but I am not sure as I think I semi accidentally used the command to relock the bootloader in the hopes of it doing the automatic low level factory reset. After that restart, the phone wanted to boot up but after the Huawei logo it went into the EMUI logo which I've shown in the pictures. Now I can't use any button combination and can't enter any menu. I also can't shut down the phone as it bootloops into the EMUI logo after I press the power button. I opened the phone and turned it off by detaching the battery cable but after holding the power down key and plugging the usb cable into the phone it still boots into the EMUI logo right after the Huawei logo.
I guess not being able to enter fastboot is the major issue and after hours of googling I am yet to find a solution.
Edit: I am a newb!
Please help!
Why did you delete the vendor partition, you could try plugging the phone into your computer and checking if you can do anything with fastboot while it's showing emui logo?

I've already tried that. I've placed the appropriate files into my SDcard but I can't use any button commands including volume up+down+power. When I press them my device just boots into the EMUI logo and nothing happens.
Edit: It boots into the EMUI logo even if I only press the power button. Pressing volume down + usb also boots me into the EMUI logo

I measured once and not trice before cutting... I was also not paying enough attention/in a hurry...
Power OFF the phone.
Press and Hold VOL Down and connect the phone to PC via USB cable. The phone should boot into Bootloader (fastboot mode). Does this method work?
or try this:
Press and Hold VOL Up and connect the phone to PC via USB cable. The phone should boot into eRecovey mode and then then select "Download latest stock rom and install".

Ok, it seems like not all is lost about my phone. I managed to get into fastboot. In my situation, pressing volume down + usb cable while the battery was plugged into the phone did not work. That was before I opened up my phone's case and disconnected the battery cable.
As I mentioned before, I had opened my phone and disconnected the battery cable because that was the only way to shut it off.
What I did after I disconnected the battery cable was the following:
1 - Hold volume down and don't release it
2 - Plug in USB
3 - Plug in the battery cable into the phone's mobo.
That booted me into fastboot. Right now, the phone says my bootloader in unlocked and my FRP is locked. What would be the best way to flash the new stock OS on my phone?

I have downloaded THIS and THIS for the new OS but by talking with Alexxxx1 in THIS discussion I learnt that Huawei has implemented a security patch in their latest update, which I've most likely installed, that prevents you from rolling back your OS version. That means I need to install the .386 version, which should be the last if I am not wrong, instead of the .378 correct? Though I heavily dislike patches like this I guess I can't do anything about that...
Hi,
I'm not very experienced with those root things and followed a tutorial to do so.
I unlocked the bootloader, had TWRP installed and root. This worked. Now I wanted to remove Root and TWRP and go back to the original state. I couldn't find the stock recovery file, so I installed the P996A04V1.3.0B13_MR2_sd_ssl.zip via TWRP from the SD Card. Till here it worked. I could enter the stock recover and boot the phone.
Then Android wanted to install a security update. I allowed it and this is where the problem started.
The install process stood still on 25% for minutes. I thought it stuck and pressed and hold the power button to reboot that I can wipe the memory. But nothing happened. But the installation Process continued suddenly. I had the feeling that this power key worked like a skip key. So maybe it didn't install a file where it was stuck.
After the installation reached 100% the screen switched to black and nothing worked anymore. I couldn't restart the phone or anything but I think the phone was doing something cause it consumed electricity. When I checked the phone hours later I noticed it was empty.
I can reach the unlocked bootloader now, but none of the selections works. Doing nothing to boot or select Recovery lead to black screen and stuck. Then I have to wait until the battery is empty again. Fastboot, Power Off just restart the phone and I end in the Bootmenu again. I can't even fully charge the phone. As soon as it has enough power to start the Bootmenu appears. So I don't see the display of the charging process.
I don't understand how this could happen. I tried different key combinations when the phone had enough electricty to start. The phone always restarts and end in the bootmenu. Only when I press all three keys it's standing still on the ZTE Logo screen but as soon as I release the keys I end again in the bootmenu.
How can I force another Update?
regards
Let' start with the basic questions:
Do you have proper backup of your data?
Which Android Version did your Axon had before it went unusable?
You could try to reflash TWRP.
Boot your phone into bootmode.
Download a proper TWRP Image on your PC (https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/how-to/download-center-factory-images-ota-t3606547)
Open a cmd shell (press the windows key and type 'cmd' -> press enter)
Navigate to the folder where the TWRP Image is stored ('
Code:
cd C:\Users\[I]YOUR_USER_NAME[/I]\Downloads\
')
Type: '
HTML:
fastboot flash recovery [I]TWRP_IMG_NAME.img[/I]
'
Afterwards you could try to reboot into recovery mode.
I don't have a backup. But there isn't something imortant on the phone that I want to keep. I can do a full reset and reinstall, too.
Android must have been the latest offical availabe what's in the file. Was it Android 8? V1.3.0B13
The fastboot mode doesn't work. The screen turns black and the LED blinks red but only for a moment. Then the phone restarts and I'm in the bootmenu again. Windows doesn't recognize it as device.
Is there a way to force it to do an update from my SDCard without it needed to be connected to a PC?

I don't know of any.
But you could boot into EDL Mode (Press and hold Both Volume button and then press the power button) and flash a Stock EDL rom from the Download Center i have linkd before.
It's not visible for the PC. The only thing I see is the charging screen when its total empty and you can't even boot as. As soon as it has enough power to switch to the normal screen the bootloader appears and when I do nothing the screen turns black and nothing happens. I don't even know if it is charging. The LED is off.
Follow this guide to unbrick it and then use MiFlash and flash an EDL ROM
