hello good afternoon, I have a joying android 8.0 android 4gb / 32gb and I would like to know if there is any software and hadware update. my device is rockchip, px5, rk30sdk board, rk30board hardware, rk3368 platform, sorry my english is the translator
Check the Joying blog.
There are two different models of Joying PX5 units. They require different firmware.
If your name ends on PX5 or PX5R or PX5S, you need this software from their blog
And if you have a FYT you need this software
my joying model is JY-VO130P4 but it has remained in android 8.0. there is no update for android 9 ???

No. And that will not come either. There is no further software development for the PX5 models.
Thank you very much for your response and a big greeting

Can someone help me determine which head unit this is?
I'm thinking it's one of the Joying SoFIA units (doesn't appear to be MTCB/MTCD), but how can I be sure?
Additionally, there's no sign of the Google Play Store or Google Play Services on the unit. Is that typical for Joying units?
For search-ability purposes:
Android version
6.0.1
CPU Info
CPU: Intel ATOM 4QuadCore, GPU4D: Mali-450 MP4
Baseband Version
SF3GR_LPOP-MR1_REL_01.1552.03.20160614_094450
System Info
APP 1024x600 2017-02-27 17:29:58
MCU Version
2017-02-27 09:44:20 SBD_(R73)__90_C9R73_V1.00_CAN(All)AMP
Note that I am aware the Android 6.0.1 version is a lie. When you tap on the Android version number, you get a Lollipop logo. Additionally, the baseband version includes "LPOP".
Thanks, in advance, to anyone who can help me identify this for certain.

Not a joying unit, although they aren't the only ones who make Intel Sofia units.

System info : APP 1024x600
MCU version : 2018-08-20 17:51:39 FAD_(R76)_90_D1_V1.0_CAN(all)_AMP
Where can i download it ??
Hi @ all,
I have read several threads here and after trying to create my own headunit with a raspberry pi3 (and somewhat but not entirely failing at that) I bought a Joying Head Unit.
Now the thing is that I somewhat fail to understand what type of Unit I have. It is a PX5 with 2 GB Ram and 32 GB Rom
MCU-Version:
2017-11-06 17:53:54 JY_(R68)__26_C26_6026_CAN(All)
CPU-Info:
CPU: ARM Coretx-A53 eight-core 2+32G PX5; GPU: PowerVR G6110
DVD-Version: (weird i have no dvd drive)

Unit Name:
JY-UM128P2
https://de.aliexpress.com/item/JOYI...32845673947.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.TgrG5O
Thank you all for your help.
I really don't understand your questions.
"What head unit do I have?" and you yourself mention JY-UM128P2. I hope you did check carjoyings page?
"What can I do with it"?
Seriously?
"I bought a soundbar/television/laptop/book/sweater/water cooker. What can I do with it?"
Please be more specific in what you are looking for if you want more specific answers.
Sorry I should have been more specific. Sorry about that. What I ment was what MCU do I have.
Can I root the device?
Hello, i just bought this same unit with the same MCU.
Like you I was wondering if I could root or install a new rom?
I hear everywhere about MTCD or MTCE mcu's devices, what about this "r68" thing ?
Thank you guys.

Holy crap - did not know that! Hopefully it will be availabale for our device as well
It will, this is not a firmware or MCU update, just a software one.

It IS a firmware upgrade. It will not upgrade your MCU version though, but it will upgrade from 6.0.1 to 8.0, for PX5 FYT models only.
I guess there will no way back like it was with the 5.1.1 upgrade to 6.0.1 on the Sofia models last April 2017.
So be careful if you want to be in the first batch of testers

It will be available for the 2GB PX5 FYT models. Not (yet?) for the 4GB PX5 models.
I'm afraid it will never be available for the Sofia 3GR models.
Note that I have no idea when Oreo will become available (again: for the PX5 only)

FYTtek is the hardware and software supplier of Joying. FYTtek makes the SOM including the PX5 chip and MCU, and of course the software that runs on it. You can easily recognise the boards if you take a look inside the unit. There is FYT with model, serial no. and more details on the heatsink.
Microntek is another supplier and makes the MTC/D/E models.
The Sofia 3GR models and 2GB PX5 models are FYT based.
I thought that I read somewhere on this forum that the 4GB PX5 models are non-FYT models, but at the same time that seems very illogical.
Maybe someone else can shed some light on that.

Please ask Joying: [email protected]
Joying uses an alphabetical naming for newer models. Your JY-UM135P2 has been replaced by the JY-UO135P2 (if they follow their own naming scheme that is). It might be possible or not.

No, your units hardware is FYT based. The Hal9K is for MTCD units. If you're lucky it doesn't do anything. If not you will brick your unit.
And why can't you ask Joying? That sounds a little vague to be honest.

@surfer63
joying will not take any responsibility on the recommended rom to install.
My model is UM135P2. "M" means marshmallow
I found UO135P2. "O" means Oreo.
This is what I understand.
Do you think that if I try to install the firmware of UO135P2 can I brick my radio?
The specifications of my radio(mcu and more) are identical to this fact

That M(arshmallow) and O(oreo) sounds very logical
I think your hardware is compatible, but I don't think they have a proper upgrade path. Some time ago a user also wanted to upgrade but got a bricked unit. Fortunately that was reversible by flashing the 6.0.1 ROM again.
Joying is a seller, not a manufacturer. There are 3 manufacturers: FYT, Microntek (MTCD/E), QD. They have different, incompatible hardware components and MCUs.
This is answer by Joying:
Android 8.0 firmware can not fit with your head unit, unless you purchase below Android 8.0 coreboard to upgrade your head unit to Android 8.0

I have spent 270 euro and i can't upgrade mu head unit? they are crazy.
The model UO135P2 have the same specifics.
Other answer by Joying:
The head unit you purchased is UM135P2 which is Android 6.0, can not upgrade to Android 8.0 directly by software, as their coreboard is different. Hope you can understand.
If you upgrade your head unit with Android 8.0 firmware directly without change coreboard, it may broken your head unit. Hope you can understand.

Hi guys. Maybe and hopefully someone of you can help me here.
I bought a used Android system based on the Winca S200 with ZHAN_(NOR) MCU for the Opel Astra J. While looking for new system software I stupidly flashed a newer system version, but the wrong MCU, so that the canbus box and all vehicle information are no longer recognized.
I therefore urgently need the system software with which the device was delivered (I have attached photos of it.) Does anyone have a dump or backup of this firmware and MCU? The dealer from whom the device was purchased also no longer offers support for these devices.

Hi .
I have sheet of links for different models Your model is not included in my sheet of links of different models .
The software process is to have two steps ..
First software ( android system).
Second software is for mcu that much your canbus type related to your car model..
Here are the models i have in list if you think you can check one of them i can share with you
@mustafaspirit
Well, I think there is no similar software for my unit... do you have other sources maybe?
@mustafaspirit
Short update. I got the MCU from Renault Kelos (W329A) now from another xda user here. This MCU is exactly the same as mine from factory. And my Canbus-Box was detected again, too.
But I'm still on search for the factory system software. By the way, what do you think where to trying to get it? Even you could not get support? I tried to contact Winca/Roadnav, but they did not response until now.
check with the russian model farCar I used its firmeware and MCU for my S300 and it was exactly the same. https://far-car.ru/garantiya_i_servis/
Unfortnatly I can't find any official firmware for Winca to update with. If any has it please share.
I have winca s300 and I have a problem with the mcu and I contacted winca and did not find a response and I want that mcu "zhan_53_c63l_g32190000d5" ver:1.0
Hello,
In May 2020 I bought this head unit from ali express:
Junsun V1
Android 9
4GB + 64GB
Wifi + 4G dongle
1024x600
With Apple Carplay (Z-Link)
CPU:
Intel X86_Octa-Core 1.8GHz [email protected]
Build-number:
OPM2.171019.012 release-keys
MCU Version:
2019.12.24 13:48:27 NOR_53_L82_G23P48F64_V:1.0_FYT
Now I would like to update this head unit to Android 10, but I can't find any firmware or even identify the kind of device this is to search firmware for it. I asked Junsun, since they are now selling the device with Android 10 pre-installed, but they say it will not work on my device since the hardware changed.... :/
Is there anyone that can help and tell me how to upgrade my head unit to android 10, if this is possible?
Thank you.
+1 I love this radio but look the message :
hi friend I’m sorry that the version you purchased is no longer on sale. Its chip is different from the radio chip we sell now. Therefore, we do not have the appropriate documents for you to update. Moreover, It's not suggested to refresh firmware if the device works well, the radio may stop working if refreshing firmware doesn't succeed. Hope you can understand
