Device is galaxy note3 sm n9002 ... It was somehow international on 4.4.2 i.e. got it like this ... I flashed official 5.0. Chineese Unicom successfully .... But it refuses to downgrade even rooted. .... Is the problem that famous " Download boot enabled" ?
How disable this in such phones ?
I can apply almost any tutorial... Just a little help ...
Sorry no idea on your model .
Downgrade is usually newer Bootloader that stops . See Bootloader thread.

Hey guys..
So I was trying to install a Korean Note 3 4.2.2 firmware (SM-N900S) on my Australian Note 3 (SM-N9005) using ODIN but was a failure.. It wouldn't proceed, saying "failed" so I gave up and instead of that I've installed UK Note 3 4.2.2 (SM-N9005)..
But I still want to install Korean firmware on my phone!!
So does anyone have any idea why this was a failure??
Is it because the model name is different?? (Will changing the model name by rooting help?)
From my past experience, I was able to install international firmware even without changing the model name..
About my device:
AP: N9005XXUEND3
CP: N9005XXUENC2
CSC: N9005OXAEND1
If you need any information about my phone (version etc.) Please ask!!
So I'm currently on UK BTU 4.2.2 (SM-N9005) and trying to install Korean SKT 4.2.2 (SM-N900S).
*This isn't a custom rom!!
Please help..
Thanks!!

The boot sequence in modern phones is secure/restricted (and Odin also tries to enforce it even before the boot - to stop you from writing bad stuff).
Basically the bootloader is different (something that you can also see even on the same N9005 model when going from 4.3 to 4.4 - 4.4 does not work with old 4.3 bootloader and currently there is a restriction which stops you from downgrading the bootloader).

But I'm not trying to downgrade.. Will it still not work..?
Also then, is there any other way to break this restriction?

Hi fellow J5'ers
I'd like to upgrade my J5 to Mashmallow for two reasons :
- All other devices I use are running that version already .....
- I saw the adoptable Storage Hack which sounds great to me
But I have to admit that I'm slightly lost with all the differen Versions of the J5 out there
My phone is a J5 Duos ( 2015 Model )
AP : J500FXWU1AOJ2
CP : J500FXWU1AOJ2
CSC : J500FOXX1AOJ1
Model : SM-J500F/DS
Android Version 5.1.1 ( rooted )
TWRP Recovery 3.0.2-0
On Sammobiles , I find lots of different original 6.0.1 Images for the J500F and the F500FN , but I see no DS anywhere
I have have no clue ( and haven't found found the info here ) how I should proceed exactly to keep my device rooted and not brick it on the way
So please .... excuse my stupidity , any help is welcome !
Edit :
I completely forgot one thing .......
I'm currently running the Xposed Framework on my phone , together with the AppSettings Module .
That functionality is very important , so is there a working Xposed Framework for Marshmallow J5 out there ?

Hello!
I think you'll be ok by flashing J500F firmware. The stock rom should have files included for dual sim.
A Google search doesn't bring any results for J500F/DS firmware.
You should be fine by flashing J500F firmware.
Soo my J5 is bootlooping after flashing stock rom via Odin (Binary 6) and it wont boot anymore. If i remember correcly the imei also was not showing up in roms and sims whould not work. Can my phone be saved?. Cannot flash a custom recovery because apparently its blocked or something like that.
