From what I've been finding online, the Pulse colour suffers from finger print issues more than the Eclipse Black. All I've been able to establish is it has something to do with the different RAM and Storage the Pulse model has, which results in something not working in software. I guess they developed the software on the Eclipse Black (why all of the demo units sent to reviewers before release were Eclipse Black), and then they just slapped it on the Pulse model at launch, and hoped for the best.
Now when you change the DPI (as everyone knows they disabled this option from factory). 449dp seems to be the sweet spot for this phone, it's as small as you can make it without causing major issues. In my testing, 480dp causes the app drawer to not open every single time, and the app drawer labels are cut off at the bottom. Using 500dp, the app drawer won't open at all, so 449dp is the sweet spot for this phone.
Only issue I've found with 449dp is the dock, it shows 5 icons by default. On first start up after a reboot, the icons are evenly spaced across the entire bottom of the screen.

}
When you open any app (even opening the app drawer or pull down the notifications) and go back to the home screen, the 5 icons are suddenly condensed in the middle closer together. They all still work fine, it just adjusts their placement for whatever reason, but they all continue to work fine in their location until you reboot and they'll organize correctly again until anything is opened and it resets back to being condensed towards the middle.
Changing the DPI:
You need to open Settings > About Phone > tap on the Build number, 7 times, this activates Developer options. It will automatically open this for you. (you can access this after by going to Settings > More system settings > Developer options).
In Developer options, scroll down to the Drawing category, and you'll find Smallest width at the bottom of that group, tap it, and change it to 449
You have now successfully change the DPI to 449, congrats!
Fixing the Finger Print Reader:
Now I included changing the DPI above because my settings do not apply to the stock 360dp, it's the same process, but the values will be different for 360dp. Which is why I recommend changing the DPI to 449 for best possible results before using this fix.
You need to download Activity Launcher
When you open Activity Launcher, search and open In-Display Fingerprint and tap on com.goodix.fingerprint.setting.MainActivity
On the screen that opens, tap on Locate sensor and change the values as follows
X = 390
Y = 1900
Width = 300
Height = 300
Lock Aspect Ratio = On
Gradient = Off
W:H 13 & 16
Just reboot your phone, and enjoy a working finger print reader! Great Job!
This fix is for the Pulse colour Red Magic 5G as the Eclipse Black model does not suffer from the same issues, but your results may vary.
Trouble Shooting:
If you are having further issues, BACK UP YOUR DATA and then try doing a factory reset using the Update Software Method
Go to Settings > System Update > tap the three dots in the top right corner > Enter Recovery mode
The phone will reboot into recovery, and from there, you need to use the volume keys and power button to navigate.
Volume Up = Up
Volume Down = Down
Power = Select
English > Wipe Data > Wipe Userdata Partition
Once that's completed
Wipe Cache Partition > Back to Main Menu > Reboot
After you set the phone back up, you're good to go and try this again, doing this fixed TONS of issues I was having with the phone.
When I first got my phone, the finger print reader wasn't great, occasionally it wouldn't work all 5 tries, requiring me to input the pattern unlock I had set. After doing a factory reset by going to Settings > More system settings > Reset options > Erase Phone, the finger print reader wouldn't work at all, and the more factory resets I did trying to recovery the phone back to it's out of box state using that method, only made it worse until the phone was actually unusable and constantly crashing, causing it to force reboot itself just trying to do simple tasks like texting or opening a game.
After doing a factory reset using the System Update Method, I haven't experienced any further issues like this, and have repeated the reset multiple times during testing without any issues. So if your finger print reader is already having a mind of it's own, try doing a system reset using that method first, and then try my fix, because after doing what I mentioned above, it works every single time.
May the odds be ever in your favour.
This is for the locked bootloader right , not unlocked. Cons when you unlock the fingerprint doesn't work.

Yes, this is for the factory locked bootloader, I was doing some reading about the finger print issue, and there actually is a way to root and lock the bootloader, keeping the finger print reader working. It has something to do with unlocking the bootloader on global, making a backup of your firmware, flashing the china firmware, that locks your bootloader again, and then restore your rooted backup, and you keep root with the locked bootloader or something. There's no guide yet, but there's a few posts around that I've found that said this is possible, but the process is extremely picky, it's like an exact process of flashing, wipe, wipe, flash, wipe, etc. It's just a glitch that someone found in the Telegram except the links to the Telegrams got taken down for some reason so I can't join it to learn more about this.
However, with that being said, I would just recommend not updating the phone when Nubia does release fix for all of the current bugs, just keep moving through them, and staying on the launch firmware until a guide on that root with locked boot loader is made, because that seems to be the best possible solution for this phone as of right now.
Another option is one person was able to get Havoc OS working on it, and even though the finger print reader, rgb, fan, and 144hz don't work, that ROM has face unlock, less secure than a finger print reader, but faster, so it is an alternative to making this into more of an actual "phone" and less of a "console".

To be honest, this is not tablet mode at all, it has nothing to do with silly build.prop hacks. This is the first and only Android rom to feature true Hybrid mode. This rom lets you scale and project every app, every widget, even systemcomponents individually. Remember, android is modular, everything is an app: Lockscreen, navigationbar, dialogs, popups, keyboards, widgets, and your regular apps of course. Apps have the capability to switch into various designs or layouts according to the device they run on. This can result in a complete new experience as many apps will transform to the better.
Now for every element that you like chose a mode (PhoneUI, Phablet/Nexus-7UI, TabletUI) and/or a size. You are 100% independent of the system DPI which runs nicely in whatever value it has been assigned to. You do not need to boot your phone into a certain DPI. Neither will most of the changes you apply require a reboot. You will not suffer from the myriads of troubles which normally haunt you under build.prop tablet mode. Your market, phone, etc. will all work, apps won't shrink on you unless you shrink them yourself. This project will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the feel of your phone.

2. Search this thread and Cyanogenmods aswell (its our base) for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
3. If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT ...

The Devil Kernel included is the one with Voodoo Color. You can control it with the Voodoo Color app or the Devil Kernel Config App.
The CMC (Cyanagenmod Color) version is available here. Select the one with CMC in the name.
Very interested in trying this, and i know that i can just install it and see for myself, But before I do; Does this lag alot? All the fancy stuff seems like it might bog down our "ancient" devices.

Sounds like it may have had an issue mounting /data try flashing a different kernel like semaphore to see if that fixes it.
If not look at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21439417
Color me really impressed. I really like the interface on this, and the lag seems to be on par as to current state of cm10.
QUESTION: the themes that are linked above, can we use them with the captivate?
I´ve been on Paranoid before but I've been on this version and semaphore kernel for a day. At first the phone worked impressivly fast. Faster than my previous JB setups and even faster than GB. I don't know why but the it has become slower and now is on par with Helly Bean with Devil's Kernel.
It appears to me that the lack of datadata partition doesn't affect the performance at all, because Helly Bean uses that partition and Paranoid don't.
The interface for adjusting the paranoid settings is excellent. In the beginnig it used to be a little bit tricky but now has evolved to a wizard who guides you along the process with really clear explanation and images.
The battery life has been great for me, losing 1% an hour on stand by and with good results while the screen is on.
The media issue is still there but its a CM10 thing, not specifically Paranoid related.
Somehow the search hardware isn´t recognized properly. It does nothing when pressed and doesn't show on the hardware key settings. This issues was present on one of the Helly Bean test builds , but was resolved in the latest release.
It's a great ROM overall and the posibilities bringed by the hybrid mode makes it stand out. Thanks a lot for the actualized port. Keep 'em coming!

I follow the instructions again, and re-do the flashing one more time.
Everything works flawlessly. Now, I need some time to stress test it.
I am on Roger's Captivate, no front camera.
First issue: Camera. Taking pics fine. all settings are fine, except the switch of camera (front and back).
As soon as that option is selected, the gallery stops. From then on, camera is not functional. Have to reset.
Great selection of language UI. That covers most of ethnic groups. A++
Is there any way that I can flash those additional language into other ROM in another phone, say: SGS II or III?
When I first installed it, i plugged my phone into my computer when the phone booted up and the option to connect USB to pc showed up, after a restart, it no longer does that. I love this rom, I've been on the PA ICS for a while and this is super fast, almost exactly as smooth as the ICS one, new fav rom!
...But please help about the pc connect thingy

It you toggle the camera (back to front) it will cause force close as the i897 has no front camera. The only way I've been able to get gallery working again is to go into app info > gallery > force stop / clear data.
To my knowledge UI languages have to be compiled with the ROM.

With you ROM installed, the SIM (Rogers) is not recognized regardless of network/carrier setup.

So I just updated to the latest beta/RC/whatever and go to move PIE controls to the right of the screen like I have been for weeks.
There seems to be some change in the code that lets PIE controls activate no matter where my thumb is on the right side of the screen(I mount PIE to the right side). This used to only activate when the screen was swiped from the middle of the right side.
So now when I'm typing and I tap on P or Backspace or Enter(anything on the right side of the keyboard) PIE controls activate and it sends me to Google Now
I imagine this change was made so that tablet users can activate PIE from anywhere on the side of the screen, and I understand that. But why change this on smartphones? It's not like the PIE controls even follow my thumb when swiping from the top or bottom of the side of the screen on my Nexus 5, like it does on my Nexus 7.
I just don't get why this change happened and it's incredibly annoying. I've had this happen 4 times in the past 10 minutes since updating only 30 minutes ago.
Please add an option to disable this 'feature' or revert it back to the way it was. I'm having to use pie controls from the bottom now

tl;dr but to be honest, its better implement then old pie behavior. More responsive and better snap points.
this is what you can do though:
go HERE
then go HERE and copy repo init in description right right
then look for new pie commits here: https://github.com/AOSPA/android_frameworks_base
and revert the new pie commits
Good luck and god speed

I have exactly the same problem! Actually, I already posted in this forum and opened a bug-report! It is really incredibly annoying if you are typing and suddenly end up in Google Now!! I hope there's gonna be an option to change this soon!! Really drives me crazy!
LMT Launcher
PA introduced me to pie when it first came out. I soon after discovered LMT Launcher and since then I have never used any pie that is baked into a rom. IMHO it is a far superior product, even if all you use is the pie functions.

I just use the navigation keys instead of Pie.
I have to concur... I miss the old PIE controls. Granted, the new one looks much cleaner and is easier to implement, but I'd still like just a BIT more customization.

I really like the PA rom, but the PIE system didnt really offer much to me, and got in the way.
Not to mention the settingf for it are buried bafflingly deep in an already rather confusing settings arrangement.

I concur. Have always been a fan of the PA Pie feature. I appreciate why PA wants the Googly new look in 4+---as a result, customization is either rid of or minimized.
However, when it comes to the PA4+ Pie, my biggest complaint is its speed. There is a small but annoying delay when you finger swipes from the edge and when the Pie pops out. I know it's programmed behavior but it makes the phone feel laggy, to me. A lot of words have been spent on "butter smooth" performance. This contradicts.
So, I'm in Immersive but with the native Pie disabled. Instead, I am using LMT Launcher. Instantaneous response with the added bonus of color customization.
Still, if only...
I have problems with performance too. Galaxy Note 3 and its bit laggy.

Yea keyboard is bad, there are a few apps likes this. Edge gestures, gesture x. Etc. They work through accessibility and ar ok. But i recommend root version of this still. Anyway, I do think we don't have a need for this in S8/S9 when with BxActions we can get the navbar-less navigation (remapping bixby button + pressure sentive button)
I didn't know about this edge gestures app though, I'll check it out.
Works great!
I use Navigation Gestures and I really love it BUT I don't let the app hide the original navigation bar. A few problems I encounter:
1. Edge lighting is messed up. The light at the bottom is "stretched" beneath the display so it's not showing anymore.
2. Pressure sensitive does not work as Home button anymore.
What works best for me is to hide the navigation bar through the phone's Settings >> Display >> Navigation Bar >> Show and hide button. Couple that with a few swipe up gestures (like back or home) and you're all set. This way the Edge Lighting still works as intended and the pressure sensitive button still acts as Home button.
Below is my Navigation Gestures personal setup:
Swipe Up - Back
Swipe Up and Hold - Home
Swipe Left and Hold - Split Screen
Swipe Right - Previous App
Swipe Right and hold - Recent Apps
Swipe Down - Hide Pill
The rest - No action
I also set the vertical position to zero (0) to ensure the swipes are accurate. Yes the original navigation bar will pop-out once you do the gestures but I have no concerns since I also love the design. Quite a unique experience on my S8 device

With Android P Preview, we see that the Navigation bar has changed. The XDA made an app to bring this feature to other phones:
https://www.xda-developers.com/navigation-gestures-iphone-x-app-xda/
I want to know if anyone tested this in S8. If yes, tell me:
1. Works great ?
2. The Pressure Sensitive Home Button is working ?
Thanks !! Sorry my bad english :cyclops:

Best Combo
I tried practically all the possible apps and combos, and i found out the following works best:
1. Install All-in-one gestures. Open it and Grant whatever it needs (if you agree ) and then enable more hot spots and use straight lines.
Define the three swipe up areas from bottom edge to suite your needs (mine are set to mimic original button arrangement)
1. Move Nav bar out of the way: this is acheived by overscanning the display area and moving the navbar outside the visible screen. That is what XDA gesture nav uses. This require ADB from the computer.
The command is
adb shell wm overscan 0,0,0,-160
(Play around with the -160 value to suite your screen resolution)
To revert it:
adb shell wm overscan 0,0,0,0
Voila, done.
Now use something to map the pressure sensitive button to Google assistant if u require that. (Otherwise the pressure sensitive button does nothing). I suppose you can use BxActions for that, though i haven't tried it.
I hope this is helpful to you all.
Hi Guys!
Recently got an update on my S8. Now I'm on Android 9.0. On Android 8.0 when I had always on display and Navigation Gesture was working fine. On always on display, there was this little square on the bottom of the display. Now when I'm on 9.0 that bottom is gone! I need to disable Navigation Gesture to have the square back... Did anyone sort this problem out? Thanks in Advance
Since the Peloton tablet runs android N, and multi-window support is native to android N, I figured it was just a matter of enabling the "recent" button which is hidden by default. Sure enough.....

Within a couple steps, some sideloaded apks, and some quick configuration, you can watch Netflix (or any app) and have your workout stats clearly in view (you can do a class or scenic ride, but the sound will play for both).
Basically, all we are doing is installing apks via adb including an app that adds a button to the navigation bar. Once that's done, we're adding a button to the navigation bar that brings up 'recent apps'. Then it's just a matter of scrolling through your open apps, long-pressing one, and dragging it to the side so that its 'pinned' then doing the same thing to the other side of the screen.
Following these steps should in no way change the core functionality of your Peloton and everything you do can be undone by performing a factory reset.
I'll try to step this through as best I can without any screenshots. This assumes you have working ADB installed and know how to use it.
1) Enable 'USB Debugging
-Use "Method 2" in the link below to enable USB debugging (ignore the wording, you're not 'rooting' anything)
-Follow their Netflix install tutorial for a trial run
https://www.reddit.com/r/pelotoncycle/wiki/index/howto/root
2) To access your installed apps
"Each time you want to watch netflix or run any app you've loaded, do the following:
On the peloton screen make sure you are logged in.
Tap the three dots in the bottom right hand side and then tap about. An info box should show up on the screen.
In rapid succession, tap just inside the bottom right corner of the info box like 10 times or so. A black screen should come up showing all installed APKs."
3) Once you've logged into Netflix and verified all is working, find the apk for "Custom Navigation Bar". The Google Play link is below, but you'll need to download the apk from another site
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=xyz.paphonb.systemuituner
4) Install the apk in the same manner you installed Netflix (or any other apk)
5) This app does require specific permissions. While still connected to ADB, use the following command:
Code:
adb shell pm grant xyz.paphonb.systemuituner android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS
6) Now access the app "Custom Navigation Bar" using the process from step 2 above (you'll have to step through a few welcome screens)
-Scroll down to "Extra Left Button"
-Under "Type" choose "Keycode"
-Choose an icon (so you can see the button)
-Under "Keycode" choose "App Switch"
7) On the far left of your navigation bar, you should see a new button. Pressing it will bring up your recent apps list
8) Scroll through your open apps and long press the title bar of the one you want
9) You should see 2 bars on either side of the screen, drag your app to the side you want
10) Scroll through your list again until you find the "Peloton" app and select it
11) Drag the slider in the middle of the screen to make one app bigger or smaller
And that's it!
Disclaimer - I've been an XDA leech for a long time, so when I do figure something out, I like to share it with the community. But this is just what worked for me. I've done no testing and do not guarantee it will work for everyone nor can I be held responsible if something adverse happens to your device as a result.
Hi wolfebaine,
thanks a lot for this great guide !
Every worked fine - except one thing:
when I longpressed Netflix title bar a message pops up "Screen split not supported in this app".
I was able to get around this by activating activities to be resizable in developer settings as i.e. described here: https://www.howtogeek.com/273409/how-to-enable-split-screen-for-any-app-in-android-nougat/
Now I have both apps Netflix and Peloton side-by-side on the screen, but only one apps seems to be able to provide video: as soon as I start Netflix, e.g. the scenic ride stops (same with normal spinning courses, but this is a crazy use case with Netflix at the same time ).
And when I try to slide the split so Peleton gets smaller a running "Just ride" stops (it's paused and can be restarted, but is some where in the background).
So it's only works with 50/50% screen split.
Is that also true for your installation ?
Thanks for sharing the info!
I got mine working. There are a few new tricks to get everything working, I'll post more info later.
Just wondering if you've figured out how to get the workouts to not reset when you click away from the workout? If I try to interact with the second screen the workout always gets paused/put in the background.
I've got a few ideas, but thought I'd post here to possibly figure it out faster.

Hi there,
Not sure if the original poster will still see this. I’ve installed all the apps necessary. Under setting >> App, I can see the app I’ve installed. However when heading to the “about” page, after clicking few times, it only shows the Web Browser Test. Any clue?
I noticed that a little while ago following an update. Since I already had everything installed it didn't really affect me.
But try this. Under app setting go into Nova launcher and scroll down to home app.
Select Nova launcher add your home app and hit the P button on your navigation bar. That should get your to the point that you can set everything up
To get back to that screen from peloton, you just have to go to settings, device settings, and hit the P

Hi Wolfbanie,
Thanks for your quick reply! I’ve seen a post talking about this back in Jan 2021. Tried to follow that without any luck. I couldn’t find the app setting or nova launcher anymore. Maybe because I just recently got the bike that peloton has blocked all these ways?
Hello,
New member and I'm lost.
I followed the tasks of getting into dev mode.
I turned on USB debugging.
I installed Adb.
I downloaded APK packages.
Then when I went to install the packages they say failed to install.

Apparently even if you install them successful, it doesn’t appear in the app anymore. I’m also waiting for a solution too.

do you have active Peloton subscription? If not you will not be able to install apk packages other than signed by Peloton. You can just take membership for 1 month and install apk packages and cancel it after that.
btw, I was able to get split screen but was unable get peloton app in split screen as it now requires full screen. Any other apps side by side are kinda of no use.

I found a workaround for this. You have to go to:
Settings > Apps
Then click the app Nova, Custom Nav Bar, etc...
At the bottom, you click "Advanced", then "Additional App Settings". It will launch the app.
This worked for both custom nav bar and nova. Alternately, the first time you click the P logo in the middle it will ask which launcher you want to open (Peloton, Nova).
Be aware that Netflix last supported split screen in V7.64.0. Referencing an article, I downloaded the release below and split screen didn't work. I downloaded an even earlier Netflix release, from the link above that OP included, split screen STILL didn't work. I'm not sure how this app can have split screen disabled even though it was natively supported before. Maybe it has something to do with the Peloton android version.

Shoot I was hoping to have the just ride on one side and the peloton app (google play, not the built in “app”) on another. Guess that won’t work? Full access membership it is then *cries =(

I was able to add custom navigation bar to easily get split screen. Now, i can get peloton in side by side but can't watch any videos.

"Watch videos" as is in peloton videos?
If not possible I might as well just hang an ipad over the screen and use the peloton app that way with the just ride metrics below it on the main screen.
Is that your vid on YouTube? Great Vid. I wasn’t able to get past switching the left button to “app switch” as I see no option for “app switch” on my menus. =(
And to confirm, yes you need the All access membership to be able to side load and use adb for those that are wondering.
you need an active membership to do this . this should be STEP 1
Does this work for anyone still? I have a Bike+ running Android 10, everything works fine but I can't get past the Custom Navigation Bar compatibility test, it never changes the bar to the -> to continue.
I ran the adb permissions command, is there a way to verify if the permissions were applied? It didn't throw an error.

As far as I can tell the recent update broke it.
I have tried ADB commands and still can't get the recents screen to even open.
Same for me, looks like recent update broke it as well. It removed the MENU command for me. I don’t want to attempt anything until I see someone get it to work.

The update removed the the option for the nova launcher or just the split screen feature ?
Honestly the split feature is ok .. but not very useful since you can’t play videos on both sides and it only split vertically not horizontally … it would be good to see cadence and resistance in the bottom and the class or Netflix on top .. but vertically make it not as good

I wonder if anyone tried to root the tablet using kingroot or any rooting method .
Pretty sure any rooting would get you flagged hard.
I messed around some more and was able to get split screen to happen randomly but it would result in one side being unresponsive so it was useless.
Hello everyone, im doing this just to share with everyone the information that i ve found about this amazing, rare and forgotten watch, since is discontinued, the information its soo limited but the watch has a lot of pottential, just need a bit of patience and new aplications, sorry if my english its bad or weird because is not my first languaje.
First i need to give a BIG credits to @benzersizadam thanks to his post "Apps and Recovery" i found a way to add or so-so add watchfaces and gif animated watchfaces to the watch, giving a incredible look to the watch, this is the way that i ve found and maybe will be a better and optimized way to do the same with another apps, so be free and please use this post to share with everyone your own methods, your new watchfaces, gift watchfaces or a better notification app that works, that you do or find, together we can do a great post.
First: the watch resolution is: 192x960 and the watch denstity is 240p.
I ve tried a lof of apps, versions of the apps and wathever, and to be honest this apps and versions are the best that i can find to work with the watch, i will share to you all apps that i used but if you dont trust or dont feel secure you can search by yourself on google.
First i recommend to you this Windows App, its called "Scrcpy" I used this app to control the watch using my windows PC and it works flawsly, this help me a lot to the configurations easly, you only need to conect the watch to USB and thats all. open the exe and you can control the watch, if you dont want to use the tool you can do the configurations direct on your watch.
(sometimes the app just open a black CMD screen and closes really fast, just execute again and will work).
As you will know its completely impossible to update the watch, dont matter what you do, i contacted nubia support by email and they just say, "update files are confidentials and we cant provide, that, the only way to update its to send the watch to our centers on Hong Kong... buh, im on CHILE! its not possible.
So i start to try ways to fix the watch faults, and im happy with results.

OMNI GIFT : Version 3.5
Floating Clock : Version 1.1.5
Edge Lightning : Version 3.0.9
Bubble Notifications : Version: 1.0.39 stand
Hidden Settings : 1.7.5
This are the first magic apps.
Now After has this apps installed, now open Hidden Settings and search for: Accessibility(Settings$AccesibilitySettings)
]
there you will see a black screen with some white dots, these dots are activators but the background its black and the letter font are black too so you cant read, now will enable a way to read:
Just up an count 6 dot and enable that number 6 dot, you will enable a contrast on letters and this way you can read all the hidden menu. feel free to explore the watch hidden options on this point but BE CAREFUL because some options like add a new profile for example are unreversible and can damage the watch software and you will brick the watch and theres no way to enter recovery if you got stuck on nubia logo and dont exist a stock rom to flash so BE CAREFULL and its your own responsability to not damage the watch.
This is what you will see (doing this in reverse is needed after finish all the setup to revert the white letters contrast because it affects all the watch interface).
Now search again for: Settings(Settings$AdvancedApps)
Here go to "Special Access" on the bottom and Select "Draw Over The Other apps" and enable the opcion for Bubble Notifications, Floating Clock and Edge Lightning Apps.
Then go back and select "Notification Access" and enable for Bubble Notifications and Edge Lightning Apps.
Now you can go back and disable the option on accesibilty to contrast the font.
i mean, disable, this option again.
FOR THE EDGE LIGHTS
Open Edge Ligthning and select the enable option and keep service active option too
Now swipe with the finger to the left and move to the other Tab there go down and select the "Specific Application" tab.
Go Down and enable the apps that has and basic green "android" logo. there will be two.
here you can adjust the notification colors of the notification. Now feel free to just explore the app and configure the notifications exactly like you want.
IN SOME CASES YOU CANT READ WHAT THE OPTION SAYS SO: i recommend to install the same app on your phone, by this way you can read what are you doing on the watch..
Now: in the same tab enable this option:
and go to the "Advanced Settings" option and select this option:
Selecting this will do the watch screen power on and do the edge lightning effect with every notification that you receibe, of course this use more battery but thats the point of this app, and the watch looks so cool on the wrist.
FOR THE NEW NOTIFICATIONS SYSTEM:
First install this app on your phone because has a lot of options that you cant read on the watch due for the density.
Open the app on the watch and enable the notifications pressing the cloud bubble button on the bottom...
Now press the three dots on the bottom left and there you can find the configurations, feel free to set up the notifications like you want, in this point you need to see what are the options on your phone because its not readable on the watch, its very important to enable the option to remove the default notifications because if you dont enable the app will not work.
the rest its just optionals and personal settings..
this is how the notifications will see:
bubble expanded:
The notifications are no the best, but they re readable, and you have separated notifications by bubbles on the bottom, its completely better that the default notifications.
NOW THE BEST PART. NEW WATCHFACES.
First open the Floating Clock Appand you will se a floating watch in the screen, click again the app logo and will open the interface, there you can personalice your watch very nice.
check "auto start on reboot" and personalize the watch as you like.
You will get this a this point:
you can close the watch entering on the app settings a select "exit" option,
For the background Open the Omni Gif App.
This is the end of the first part because i cant attach more than 20 images and i wan to do a great post.
I will continue on the second post just down.
Part 2:
This is a fast point.
When you open the app you will see for two second the right panel option that includes a gear, that gear is the app settings option so you need to open the app and really fast click on it before the panel auto close. (if you can't catch, just close the app and open again, the panel will expand it again).
thats the gear.
Now you can configure the app there
Enable this options:
- Show JPG Files on Local Storage
- Anti Alias When redendering GIF
- Rotate Gift Instread Screen
- Keep Screen On When Playing (Enable this option ONLY if you want to keep the screen on always, of course reduces the watch battery a looot, maybe last for 2:30hr to 3hr with this option, its great for show it on a party for example)
Now go back and its almost done.
Remember the watch resolution is 192x960 and dpi 240
You need to put in your watch internal memory using your PC, images with that resolution and you will see the images in the Omni gift APP, just open the image and you are done, you can add gif images and do "zoom" pressing two times with a finger keeping the finger and swiping down, because the watch has no pitch to zoom capability or the muti touch its really capped. (i will upload some videos later).
This is my gallery now:
Examples:
i created this images by myself using Paint NET Because its easy and simple.
Troubleshooting:
The watch its very capped so constantly refuses to external modifications, so you will have some normal problems with the bubble notification app sometimes.
If you enable the bubble notifications at firts and the bubble doesnt appear you need to force a bit the app to work, how? well, look a this option, its on the start screen of the app. You need to select "Tap here to test bubble"
And the watch will vibrate and the bubble will appear, if the bubble doesnt appear you need to touch and touch that option many times trying to force the bubble to come out, alternate this with closing and opening again the app and pressing the option many times. If the bubble still refucing to appear you need to reboot the watch and try again. Eventually the bubble will appear and works normally.
After you see the bubble appear dont worry about it because will never stop working, if you close the app or just close the bubble on the X still working, will pop up again with another new notification. The problem is only with the first bubble. BUT every time the watch reboot you need to do this procedure again if the bubble doesnt appears. so i recommend to not let the watch fully discharge or reboot constantly because the problem will be very annoying haha.
RECOMENDATIONS:
Every time that you reboot the watch, you need to open manually all the installed apps because they will not auto boot on boot doesnt matter if you check or not the auto boot option.
So you will need to open the edge light app, floating clock app and bubble notification app and on this last you need to do the procedure to do the bubble work if the bubble doesnt appear after a few trys a new reboot is required, once the bubble come out you're done.
A extra is that you can use the File Explorer+ app to Delete apps, backup app, and move files or edit folders in the watch, works very good.
DOWNLOADS:
You can find on attached files a ZIP with all the APK files described here.
I also add another file with all de GIF and Wallpapers that i do and recolected untill now.
