Can we use Single Sim & e-sim simultaneously on Samsung S20 (SM-G981N)?
Really appreciate your answer.
Thanks.

Hi...If your provider offers eSim, then you can easily use it with another Sim...

Nope. Your phone needs to be dual sim to use 2 sims. If you activate esim on a single sim model, upon insertion of sim card, the esim gets deactivated, but you can manually switch it back to esim but the sim card will be switched off.

your country seems to do that because in my country, I never get this massage when turn off mobile data. Is your phone from Korea?

Didn't get a SIM card with new Verizon account

Hi,
I just changed from Cingular to Verizon. I'm about to unlock my 8125 so that I can use it with Verizon but my new Verizon phone (LG VX5300) doesn't have a SIM card.
Is that just because it's a cheap phone or because Verizon doesn't use SIM cards?
If Verizon does use SIM cards, do I have to get one from them? What are my options?
TIA
Ken

Verizon is a CDMA provider and they do not use SIM cards...to get it activated on the Verizon network you need to call up Verizon directly and they will help you through the activation process
Also you cannot use your 8125 on Verizon as that is a GSM phone (different techs)...the closest thing that you can use on the Verizon network that resembles the 8125 is their 6700 (XV6700) or whatever they call it (its the Apache)
i hope this answers your question Ken
no sim
Sprint, Verizon, Alltel, US Cellular, and any other CDMA company don't have sim cards. Only the GSM Carriers have them. The VX-6700 (HTC Magician) is the CDMA version of the wizard.
Verizon is CDMA, not GSM. CDMA doesn't use SIMs -- not that it matters since your GSM 8125 won't work on the Verizon CDMA network. Verizon offers the XV6700, which is basically a CDMA version of the 8125.

The 6700 is the Apache which is the CDMA variant of the wizard. Also the 6700 has a faster processor (416mhz) and faster wireless connectivity (1xEVDO/1xRTT which is equivalent to 3G)
Your phone will be useless once you switch to Verizon.
lol @ this thread
good stuff here
wanna sell your 8125 really cheap? lol
lol this is what happens when mommy and daddy give kids credit cards.. they buy expensive toys and dont know what they r all about ill give u 50$ for ur 8125 lol
I hope you haven't passed your exchange policy yet...so you can either get the Apache, or refund.
Or sell your 8125.
So why did you switch to Verizon anyways? I prefer Cingular over Verizon any day...but that's my humble opinion.
CDMA/GSM triband phone on Verizon
So I am looking at the Nokia N71, which says it's CDMA and GSM compatible. I therefore assume that, since Verizon is CDMA, they must provide a sim card for such phones, or no? If not, then how do their dual band phones work? Is there only a sim card for the GSM networks, and then for the domestic Verizon CDMA network their global phones use something other than a sim card??
Totally confused.

[Q] Verizon Unlock Question

Is it possible to unlock the verizon R800X to use GSM
I noticed the phone has a SIM card slot that is covered by a piece of plastic that is "glued" over it
Also the Wikipedia Specifications say that the phone is GSM and CDMA
Does the phone have to be SIM unlocked and Bootloader unlocked?
Thanks
AFAIK the CPU in the R800x is only capable of CDMA, but maybe i'm wrong, did you try a sim card?
Sent from my R800i using Tapatalk
I don't think there's a SIM card slot (unless its hidden from view or underneath the plastic that's covering the circuitry).

if you have a r800x open it up
take back cover off
look at micro SD card slot
right under it is a plastic tab
remove that tab with a knife. it will pop out (and get destroyed)
you can clearly see the SIM connection and slot where it needs to be inserted
I put the sim from my Nextel inside the slot
its connected but the phone is programmed for CDMA right now
I dont know how to program it to GSM mode

Wow since i put the sim inside the phone
It's saying
"No sim card"
"please insert a sim card"
"emergency calls only"
So i guess I just need to unlock this bad boy right?
then I might be able to use it on my sprint network
Sprint is CDMA, not GSM.

That nextel SIM card you see in the picture
is normally inside a hybrid sprint phone so I am a bit confused.
My main point is that I can use that SIM I have (that has service) in my Xperia
Nextel SIMs are iDen, not GSM or CDMA

Any has issue with Verizon only picking up 3G

I made sure the the network setting is set to Global but the phone only picks up 3G. As soon as I use the SIM in other Android phones, I can get to Verizon LTE with no issue.
I am not having any issues at all. I am almost always on LTE.

Then again, I am using the prepaid carrier Total Wireless. They run off of the Verizon network though. I previously had this phone on Straight Talk and also had no issue with getting LTE on the Verizon network.
EDIT: Are your APN settings correct?
do you need to update the PRL? or dial *228?
I was told by vzw *228 no longer work on 4G LTE phone. I've tried difference SIM cards from different accounts. Same issue only 3G.
APN settings are correct. Factory reset the phone as well.

I haven't had any issues getting 4g in Central New York I took the sim from my s4 and it worked great
could be an account provisioning issue and not phone related
I am also having this issue with a Verizon sim on my G4. 4g/LTE works with no issue if i put the sim in my iPhone 6 Plus. I also get LTE on the G4 if i use a T-Mobile sim. With the lack of being able to unlock the bootloader now I'm thinking I should just return the phone and forget I even tried.
Try going into network settings and changing your apn. That's what I had to do after flashing slim rom 6.

Never mind I figured out what the issue was.
I entered into the Testing Menu Dial ---- *#*#4636#*#* -----
-----Phone Information----
Set preferred network type to ----LTE/CDMA auto (PRL)----
After playing around in this menu it changed over to LTE no problem.
Granted I spent around an hour changing between different options for the preferred network type.

Which carriers willingly activate Axon 7 phones on their networks for customers? I've read that it's possible for most any carrier and there are success stories for Verizon and Sprint, but Verizon's website will not verify the device ID and Sprint told me in person at a store yesterday that they can't activate the Axon 7. Currently I'm on MetroPCS but would like to know what other options I have. Thank you.

Well technically the phone has all the bands for every us carrier. Sprint is probably a no go though. Verizon works if you already have an activated sim card as you can just put it in the phone and be good to go and you can use it on at&t & t-mobile without any issues. So if you're looking to leave MetroPCS / T-mobile you're best bet is at&t or Verizon although like I said before you need an already activated sim card on Verizon to put in the phone.
Other than the issue below, it seems to work just fine with a vzw activated sim.
Seeing strange characters from a user sending long texts from verizon. I use gv with no issues from this same person with their previous phone (vzw note 5). Only seems to happen when the sending a7 breaks the texts into multiple messages

A7 works on Verizon if you have an already-activated SIM card in a Verizon-approved device. Take SIM out of old phone, pop it into Axon 7, verify the APN, done. You cannot use the A7 to activate a new SIM though, as Verizon has an activation whitelist.
Sprint is a no-go, as Sprint whitelists what phones can be used on their network.
AT&T and T-Mobile (and -based providers) should work on the A7 fine.
Are you all able to use HD Voice & video calling with the native dialer on the Verizon network? Some phones have an option under settings called 'Advanced Calling'. This is where you can turn on HD Voice & Video Calling for Verizon.

Ownice K7 - How to get 4G Data to work in US

Starting a new thread on this subject...
I am trying to get my ownice K7 to work on a 4G data network as it was described in the ali listing.
After I installed a SIM from my mobile carrier - Verizion - and it would not register with the network, my seller told me that only SPRINT network bands work in the US.
That sucked for 2 reasons - I can't use my Verizon unlimited data plan... and also SPRINT DOESN'T EVEN EXIST any more.
ON a tip from another thread in this forum; I then tried several prepaid SIM cards; sprint compatible SIM cards from boost mobile and redpocket, and also a T-Mobile compatible SIM card from redpocket. All 3 gave me a 'SIM disabled' error message.

So the first SIM card from VERIZON is the only card that actually allowed me to turn on mobile data... but the card will not register with the carrier.
Seller is LESS than useless and is repeating themselves over and over - clearly trying to stall and delay to run out the clock on returning the unit.
Apparently the shipping cost to return the unit is over half the price I paid for it, and the seller is hoping that in and of itself will just make me go away.
Does ANYONE have any ideas on settings, alternate carriers, or other sources for information that may help me get this turd/lemon product to work?
thanks!
I have TS10 but not Ownice with the same problem. Go to engineering mode - see what bands are available. My unit does not support band 2 and 4 which is what all US cell service providers are using.

Can you tell me exactly where to go to look for those bands..?
In the engineering mode, under 'telephony' I selected 'bandselect' and the following screen results. I don't see any 2 or 4; but am I looking in the right place?
Yes, that is the screen I was talking about. As you can see bands that are listed/supported match European band allocation, as per wikipedia:
