Thers is one way to do it:
With root explorer put the downloaded apk in folder system/priv-app/weather
In this folder is alocated the file called "weather.apk". Delete it .
You only must rename the downloaded apk to "weather.apk".
Then apply permissions like the image I left attached.
Reboot.
That's it.

Yeah but you need to root your device, mine is not, so I have just deleted the Weather app using debloat tool, which doesn't requires root. Have deleted AOD and Theme as well.
For weather app, location isn't working for me. AOD app is ok but the Theme app cannot connect to network.

The AOD app does'nt work for me, too. Can't connect with the network.
This could be an issue due to some lib needed with new MIUI or the network page still in work process.
Weather app works fine for me.

For the aod app did you try to change the region of the phone? I cannot as I am on Xiaomi.eu rom, but maybe it can work?

Yeah i also did use Google Wallpapers app and i tried changed region a again just homescreen. I am on global so maybe problem is global rom.
Changing region is for the aod and theme apps.
Yes maybe issue is because of global rom for wallpaper (or it needs developer rom maybe).

hi, I tried to install apk miui 12or 11 on Pixel experience but despite changing the persistent it does not open, it installs but does not open maybe you can help me,

Hi, after update to miui 12...wether aplication v 12.2.2.1 can't start, ot say installed from unofficial source.
Cant remove it, tried with adb shell, with adb tool... Can just disable it.

The rom works great! After you do those improvements it will be even better. The watch face seems a little glitchy though, sometimes it shows the weather and some times it doesn't... Anyway I could fix that?

@adanteny Nah bro, it's an incorrect rumor. You can definitely sideload apks just like pre-3.1
@Shaggs1983 Yeah, I experienced the same glitchyness for the weather even in stock 2.5, I guess you could try connecting to WiFi on the ZWatch, then open the Weather app and click the refresh icon. That should hopefully get the weather information onto the clockface manually.

This is an old "feature" afaik (v1.6?)
Whenever I need to 'refresh' the Weather Info on the main watchface (for example after a fresh re-charge), I always go the Weather app, wait for update (over Wi-Fi) and then come back to watch. Only way I've found so far...

Is root working for you guys, because for me none of the 3.1 based firmwares could give root access to applications. I tried this rom as well and no applications could ask for a root access. Everything says there is no permission.

Also curious about this. Love the rom though, works great so far!
Its very easy to get the new Google News & Weather app working on the Nexus 5, all you need is root and a root enabled file explorer. First off, youre going to need to use that root file explorer to ho and uninstall/delete the Google News & Weather widget. It should be found in /ststem/app/. Then youll need to reboot. Now download and install the Google News & Weather app. After this, it should be working. Oh, btw, heres the apk http://goo.gl/Iivbtc

update it via the second link provided at the bottom of the page. odd thing, same as on the n4. but i opened the online playcstore via aosp browser, and updated my n5 and installed on my n4 that way.
it says its compatible with all my devices, 3 nexus and a sgs4. none of them see it except the sgs4. but installed it on all of them

MIUI I have, but it is not on all devices installed k910 and so I did not give to the general ispolzvoaniya. There is only one sim card
And which GApps would you recommend, master_lie? Because you don't mention them, so I guess they do not come preinstalled in your ROM, right?
Edit: OK, just flashed the ROM, Google Play is there. Apart from that, seems like a really good ROM., with just a few Russian names of apps (Cleanup utility and maybe one or two more, can' remember now) and one folder (Utilities) - no big deal. Will be watching the development with great interest.

Thanks. This is my first ROM, which I give to the English-speaking forum, but in the future if there is demand I will make it possible to support labels and folders for the languages that are provided in the firmware.
After a couple days I noticed one thing that would be great to solve: if I want to use any other app for text messaging (handcent, chomp, textra etc.), the stock app doesn't wanna give up. When I set the alternative app as default in the Apps menu, it shows as set, but I still get two notifications and the alternative app keeps asking if I want it to be the default. If I click yes, it stops asking, but the menu of default apps shows the stock app as default and I get - you guessed it - two notifications. Or none - when I was testing handcent, of the 6 texts my wife sent me only 3 arrived ?
Any ideas what's causing this and how to fix it? The default app is not too shabby, but it doesn't let me assign different notifications to different contacts, which I like to do.

The problem you describe is due to shell VIBEUI, since it is used by all applications umolachniyu and any changes or destination other applications for SMS or calls by default to nothing lead. To collect completely pure android and then it will be possible, that you need.

Installed google installer from inbuilt appstore and everything is working as expected till now. And the best thing is this Rom supports Layers unlike ColorOS. But, sadly there is no Oneplus X radio this time.

Which version of google installer you installed?
If you have installed the latest one, remove it, clear data and clear cache of google related apps (google services framework, google playstore etc.), uninstall all google apps, reboot and download the version of google installer as shown in the screenshot.
Or, simply flash the rom again and install the google installer version as shown in the image.
To download previous version of google installer, follow these steps,
1. Open inbuilt Appstore
2. Search for Google Installer
3. Scroll to bottom and select View History
4. Select version 1.4.4 or 1.4.3 and install

I flashed SuperSU v2.71 beta and it's working fine for me.
Had trouble initially as my data and playstore stopped working.
Wiped dalvic cache for data to work again.
And, removed all google apps and reinstalled through google installer for playstore to work.

Did you tried inbuilt root option?
You can find it under settings->security->root permission

Performance is excellent I would say, with a nice UI.
It's not lagging at all as in the previous versions of Flyme.
Yester day I flashed this rom. Rom is very smooth. But the issue, GPS is not locating my location in google maps. Does any body have this issue?

Can you make it as a system app / flashable zip?
Good idea, as there is nothing comparable in the store, without loads of bload. What did you take as a base for your porting, please?

I will make you one tomorrow, but if you're rooted there are apps like Titanium Backup that you can use to move apps to system.

It's just Google source, no port.
Flashable zip
Flash it with TWRP: it will be flashed in system\priv-app\Gallery2
I have renamed the apk to 'Gallery2.apk'
(Tested and used in AICP nougat 7.1.1)
TIP: Remove 'gallery2.apk' before flashing the new one!

1. Hint for other users: if you have Google+ installed, there is a Google Fotos version in the Google+ package that will be installed automatically with Google+. This one is named with the same package name as this gallery app here. So you will receive an error while installation. Uninstall Google+ and you will succeed.
With this version there is no possibility for a coexistence between those two apps as user apps.
2. If you try to edit a pic, by pressing the edit pencil within the app, it FC's.
This has to be fixed.

What android version are you using?
I have flashed the zip file above on Nexus 5 Nougat 7.1.1 AICP 12.1 nightly:
1. No errors with Google+: I can not reproduce your error
2. No errors when editing pictures

Nexus5 EuclideanOS (based on Pure Nexus) => really a great ROM ...
I haven't flashed your zip. I installed the app from OP.
I haven't installed a gallery2.apk as well. The package name of the app must be the same as the one from the build in Fotos app in Google+. I figured that out.
Maybe flashing as a system app could be a solution for both problems, but I don't want to have it as a system app.
Just wanted to let others know, that are facing the same issues.
