Has anyone else experienced keyboard lag when running 120Hz on QHD?
Try opening the browser and typing a word you can type out quickly and then after typing quickly delete it with backspace button on keyboard.
I noticed that something was off when typing on QHD when running 120Hz, and while doing this experiment I noticed there is a clear delay before phone recognizes backspace button being pressed, that isn't there on FHD resolution.
Can anyone else try that and let me know if they feel the difference?
Tried this had no problems

I've been running both qhd and 120hz since 4/20 without any issues at all. Also I am using Gboard for keyboard.

Not had this issue, I use gboard, haven't got that fluid motion thing on either.

When I'm typing (in portrait mode) a lot of time when I press the SPACEBAR (and I'm in a groove, so I'm typing somewhat fast, but DEFINATELY hitting the spacebar and it's showing that it's being hit) it doesn't register, so I have no spaces between words.. I have to actually pause for a moment after I hit the spacebar so it will register...
Is anyone else having this problem...?
Is there a fix for it?
I have a stock hd2 (not unlocked or anything).
same issue stock or not it sounds like you have came from a iphone like me and can type faster then the keyboard knows what to do with so yeah idk a fix but
+1
yeah, but it's not my speed (I mean, I am typing faster that the phone can process for the most part), the spacebar is registering when I type, but if I don't pause for a second, it doesn't register the space.. it doesn't do this with any keys except for the spacebar..
oh, btw, it's doing the same thing in landscape mode too.. so it's just a universal problem on here for me.
lol yup
its the same here i mean there are keyboard sensitivity tweaks out there but its still not enough lol when i get pissed off and i am texting its too fast lol
Anyone have this issue? I literally cant even type this post without having to go back and correct everything...Cursor jumps back mid sentence a lot and inputs words accidently etc...does overclocking fix this issue? Can I overclock if already on 3.1?
Thanks!
i have a terrible time typing on webforms.
do you have the dock ? if so turn off the trackpad using the 4th button from the top left
this works a treat making the cursor stay where it damn should, you have to go back to jabbing the screen but it means pain free inputing when you need to.

For this forum change the theme to classic. It fixes the lag completely.

Not for me. Nothing has helped. It's not just here, it typing an any webform anywhere on the web. It might be slightly better in some places but it never goes away. I went to the mall and tested 3 other brand tablets yesterday and none had this problem.
Touch the screen, wait for mouse to dissapear to start typing.
I use SwiftKey keyboard and I can barely see any lag, and the predictions are the best.

I am having the exact same issue. I have tried the stock browser and Firefox. I'm running android 4.0 ICS (it came with that upgrade). I mainly use it without the dock attached, so that can't be an issue.
Overall it is very laggy for typing and starting to type into text fields. I have to click then wait several seconds before typing and randomly while typing, it will get "backed up" and characters will stop appearing for a moment.
Generally I can type okay without the cursor jumping around...that is, unless I make a mistake and want to go back and fix it. Then trying to point the cursor at the right letter is nearly impossible because it jumps all over while dragging (and just doing one single tap makes the cursor go in unpredictable spots). Even if I get it to the right spot I can only type one letter then the next letters will start type at the bottom / end of the text field.
I realize this thread is old, did anybody get to the bottom of this?
Is it the transformer or HC?
Have you tried switching the keyboard? I had no keyboard lag with the standard HC keyboard.
The lag only exists with the stock browser and persists with any keyboard (especially apparent when using text-prediction and typing into captchas)

I Use Dolphin HD With Thumb Keyboard. Alot Less laggy that stock keyboard and Default browser but its still laggy. Doesn't matter which browser I use. Pretty sure it s a Honeycomb Thing. With the Rumored 3.2 Hopefully they fix this.
I really noticed the lag today. I am using the stock brower & keyboard. However something isn't right because while typing there will be apoint the backspace will not work. Also it will not allow me to easily go back & edit. Just posting this was a pain in the ass.
but do you think the stock browser on the thrive will suffer like the transformer..

I agree. I have given up posting responses sometimes because of the difficulty with editing. I find that the green positioning cursor will not allow me to place it accurately. It seems to depend on what keyboard you use. while writing this, I have switched between Swype, SlideIT, and the Asus keyboard and found that they behave very differently:
- Asus keyboard least lag, easy to reposition cursor but takes too much screen space and poor predictive capability
- Swipe (honeycomb beta version) lags badly and cursor repositioning extremely inaccurate and even using the soft cursor keys, still can't position cursor accurately. Smallest on screen presence.
- SlideIT the best compromise. Doesn't lag too badly, cursor reasonably easy to reposition though sometimes a bit erratic, and screen estate used not too excessive.
Hope that info helps.
I like "hackers keyboard". Much nicer for editing, and no lag. It has real arrow keys.
I've been having very bad lag using Google's Gboard keyboard. It only happens when pressing the "shift" arrow and pressing a key. I also notice this happens most frequently in password fields.
It's very bad and makes the app nearly unusable. Does anyone else have the issue or offer a fix?
I'm having the exact same issue.
Use SwiftKey it's better

SwiftKey is fine if you like to tap each key to type. Nothing is more accurate than Gboard for swiping.
The Flow feature of SwiftKey is horrible in comparison.

I have no issues with Gboard; however, I am in the beta tester program. Did you try the beta version?
I have same issue.
Was wondering if its just my phone or something with the latest update. If i switch to QHD+ , the right side of my Google keyboard doesn't appear to work when swiping or tapping. For instance i can't swipe the word "phone" when in QHD+. Can someone else test this and see if it happens to them after the latest update?

Had some anomalies myself in qhd, it's like lag input.
Reboot your phone straight after changing Res.
Seems to work ok after that.
That did it
