[Q] widget / shortcut for lockscreen on/off ?

Hallo, I want something to switch lockscreen on-off
or better to switch from slide (if I say it correct in english) to pattern/pin
I use smart cover, but even without that, it would be useful to enable/disable pattern lock with a button
so we don't have to go into menus and settings every time we need extra security
widgetsoid has a button for that but doesn't seem to work, even with admin enabled
Thank you
It doesn't work even if I move it as system app.
is it a priority issue? is there any other app to do similar thing?
for anyone interested I made it with Tasker.
however I was hoping for a cheaper and more battery friendly way

[Request] App with power button's function

Hi all,
Could anyone develop an app that reproduces the power button's function? I really would like to turn off the screen WITHOUT locking the device and turning off the "smart lock" function. I have already tried almost 20 apps(like screen off & lock) and even with tasker and secure settings, without success. I don't know what to do..
This will be useful for all who want to use "smart lock" feature integrated by Google, like trusted devices and places, face recognition, physical contact.
These are automatically disabled if you use any of the app/widget that "locks the screen".
I'm kindly asking someone who knows how to make a simple app on Android :fingers-crossed:
Thanks in advance!

Disabling PowerGenie

This is the power manager on Huawei devices. May be helpful for normal use, but useless when trying to create a service which is always scanning; it kills white-listed apps and stop push notifications. Has anyone had any success with disabling this?
Ideally It would be preferable to disable the service in case it is ever require again, but just want to see it gone.
Disabling it should be possible. Try going to Settings -> Battery, then tapping on the gear in the upper right corner. Disable "Close excessively power-intensive apps". It may not be possible to disable it completely, not without root at least. BTW, I am on Nougat, I do not think this option was present on MarshMallow.
I had the same issue and generated this small APK out of a simple Tasker job. It removes PowerGenie and enables me to receive notifications again.
does it brings any benefits having it ?

Bixby Briefing, another case of it not working after working the first time

When I first got my S8, I was surprised to find that I found the Bixby Briefing alarm to be really useful. Unfortunately, since that first use, it hasn't fully worked at all. I was only ever able to get Bixby to say wake up as well as the time. Recently, I tried dictating to Bixby to set an alarm (only one day at a time?), and now I get the time and weather, but not the news.
What the hell am I missing, here? Is it just extremely buggy?
Try deleting all your alarms, deactivate bixby voice and restart you phone.
When it boot again reactivate the bixby voice and try to test the alarm.
Make sure the clock app is updated

[Fixed]Package Disabler: Re-enabling not working?

So I started fiddling with Bk Package Disabler on mostly bloatware and following advices. So long I've only disabled Sound Detection, AASAservices and just tried Smart Capture.
The problem, is I had the idea to be sure that package disabler (not uninstaller as far as I'm concerned) worked as intended, meaning that of course the package or services are not running anymore, but also that I could re-enable those packages if need.
And it's the panic: I tried to re-enable Smart Capture, reactivated it in settings but when I god into the Apps listing it's showed inactive and neither can I Force Stop it nor enable it (since you can't disable it anyway).
Edit: I simply though taking screenshot only needed a quick button push, you actually have maintain the button that's why it "wasn't working". False alert.
