Hi,
I recently encountered a small issue.
The notification always pop up when I open apps, and when I try to download things from other apps, and it fails to download.
It says "Fail to save file to SD card. Remove SD card and put it back in to try again".
I don't have extra SD card inserted, it has integrated SD card.
Samsung A40 running Android 10.
I have a screenshot of the failure.
But I cannot post links here.
I will try to do it in comment.
How can we resolve this problem?
Thanks!

When I boot my rooted CM 5.0 beta 5 Nexus, the "preparing SD card" shows in the statusbar for about 30 seconds. It used to only show for 2-3 seconds. If I try to open "music" I get a message "we have encountered an error with your SD card" and then it says "scanning SD card". It will then load the music, so it works, it just takes a minute. Also, if I open gallery right after the "preparing SD card", it shows all the thumbnails for a half second, goes blank, and then takes about 45 seconds to load the thumbnails again. It is obvious that I have an SD card error, so how do I fix that? I have run chkdsk numerous times... I have tried removing folders from the SD card, and I am having trouble isolating the problem... Is there an alternative disk checker that I should know about? Please help! Thanks!

Anyone?
Well, you can take your SD Card out and put they in laptop (most of the new one) have card reader build in. Now you can run check disk on the sd card. See is it defective or not. But in many case is the bug in the rooted and after market rom causing those issues.
I did already run chkdsk several times... It showed no errors. I also used the 4gb card that the phone came with, and got errors with that one too...
okay so i have installed Cynagon Mod 7.2 on my huawei u8800 x5 (rooted). Now everytime my phone restarts, there is the message in notification area: Preparing sd card, checking for errors. This keeps going on forever and i manually eject sd card and put it back again, reboot and shutdown and restart phone several times. Some times it happens that the sd card error message disappears and i can use the sd card. But there is the same problem if i restart my phone again. Searching for this on the internet i found that cyanogen mod had a problem with microsd cards. So i searched and found a solution:
1- Copy all your sd card data on to your computer
2- Completely format your sd card as FAT32
3- Put your data back on sd card
I tried this method but still i have the same problem. My this sd card is 16gb and is nearly full.
What can i do to solve problem. Maybe i should change my rom as this may only be a problem with cyanogen mod?
Hey all, I'm hoping somebody can help me. I'm currently running a rooted stock S5 I have safestrap installed and towel root.
All of a sudden this morning when I open to my gallery and pressed on a picture, it would not get bigger. I didn't think anything of it so I rebooted my phone. And when it came back up there was nothing on the SD card, all of my pictures and my music has disappeared. I unmount the SD card pulled it out rebooted we mounted SD card and I got an error message saying that the SD card was blank or the files are not supported. Has anyone come across this before?
When I got home from work, I pulled the SD card out put it in a card reader and on my computer again there were no files at all on the card. I put the card back in the phone and tried to reformat it, it would not reformat. I tried with several different SD cards and I'm getting the same error message saying that the card is blank and the file is not supported.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you might wanna try minitool partition wizard on your pc with your micro sd in your card reader and plugged into your pc and when you pull up your sd card im sure youll see your sd card isn't fat32 anymore and is Linux so to fix youll need to right click on the sd and click delete then put back into your phone and format then youll have it working again, but sorry to say your files are now gone on your micro sd
I have a S5 G900F, stock ROM G900FXXU1BOE5 not rooted. I have a ton of apps and I have a Sandisk Extreme 3 with 32gb. I never had issues with the phone nor sd card. I save documents, pictures and videos in the SD card.
However I reached the point when I really need to move some Apps to the SD card. The problem is that when I move them, it says application moved and then it says that the memory card can be safely removed. I need to go to settings-> storage and mount again the sd card. Once I do it the moved application appears with an android icon, it says the name like com.whateverapp.xxx and when you open it, it says the application stopped working.
The application cannot be moved back to the internal storage. Does somebody know how to fix this issue?
Uh... I never had "memory card can be safely removed" message after moving app to SD card.
And as you can see, I have some of them there... None of them stopped working.
SD card is Kingston class 10 64GB card

I'm seriously confused.
My original SD card is recognized on my PC, but when I place it in my phone I get a "SD card is blank or has unsupported filesystem". When I click the notification it asks to format. I press format and the notification goes away for a second and then comes back with the same error. I tried formatting it again on my pc and I still get the same error.
It's not the hardware of the phone since it can recognize me removing and adding a SD card. It's not the software because I flashed another firmware and still got the same error. It's also not the SD card since it's recognized by my computer and I also get the same error on my phone with another SD card.
Does anyone have any idea what's happening? Or what I can do to fix this?
It started while I was trying to flash a custom deoxed firmware on my phone.
