Hi there,
today my new Skagen Falster 3 (Wear OS) arrived, but my problem is, that my Samsung Galaxy S7 is broken and my currenty device is a ZTE Blade A5 2019. It seems like this device is using Android Go instead of the normal Android (i currently dont know what the technical/software side difference is and i cant find any information about that) and the wear os app is not supported there. I downloaded the apk from the internet but i cant start the app.
I want to wait 1-2 month till i buy a new phone, so is there any way to install the wear os app on my phone? Every way is ok for me, rooting/installing another android version, installing some additional google aps, etc. even when the device slows down. Im looking forward to any help and really appreciate it.
Thanks.
Only custom firmware. I have trying same on Redmi Go. Disabling Go in build.prop didn't help.

Hello, it is highly possible that you guys already know about Android Wear launcher as an apk that was extracted out of the emulator as mentioned here on Android Police.
I downloaded it on my Intex iRist and tried pairing it with the official Android Wear app by google installed on my Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. The app said that the watch is connected and all went well until the time the app started to check for updates where the app was stuck. I manually closed the app and re-opened it, then check for updates screen was gone and now I got the screen that you get when you connect to an android wear watch except that it was still "trying to connect" to my watch phone.
My question is that how to extract the launcher from the emulator at the first place? Then as it is possible, can we not extract the latest launcher so that may skip past the check for updates screen? I see that nobody has done it yet. Lastly, even if it gets connected, as it is just a launcher and not the whole OS, I will not be able to use it as a regular android wear, can I? Well, I am just concerned about getting the android wear watch faces on my watch phone, so even if I get only that part of the android wear os on my device through the launcher, I am satisfied.
P.S. I know getting an android wear smartwatch is the best way to get what I wish to achieve, I am just curious about this way. So please reconsider it if you're going to ask me to get a proper device. Thank you.
Hi all,
got my new Mediapad m3 lite 10 today. It is planned to use this device as a family device, and so each one of us would like to have its own account at this pad. But I can't find the setting to set this up :silly:
My Pad is a BAH-W09 with Software BAH-W09C100B022
Thanks, jennix

Hi!
Same problem with my pad bah-l09
I was searching yesterday for apps, which can deliver these functionality to this device, but i only found apps which are cloning other apps to use them in parallel and/or with different accounts, but thats not what i want. Other apps like SwitchMe (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fahrbot.apps.switchme&hl=de&rdid=fahrbot.apps.switchme) require root access, which also isn't available at this time i think. Are there any other app which can build user profiles at this tablet?
cheers, jennix
I got a response from the Huawei-Support and they told me that the M3 Lite 10 is not meant to get multi-user - support. :/
WTF!!! I was considering buying that tablet because it seemed to neatly fit my needs. However that Huawei unnecessarily(!) stripped off Android's build in multi-user capability for a tablet(!) is almost a complete KO criterion. I wanted to use it amongst other stuff to install different users for my wife and me so we both could check our emails independantly - what an overly rare and complex task! If the tablet can't handle that scenario it's almost useless for me. :-/
I'm really a bit sick'n'tired of hoping some day someone will find a new trick to root phone AB, someone will find the time to build a new recovery for phone CD and someone will be able to compile a working current Android version for phone EF in order to unleash the full capability of some hardware I own. Think I should switch back into search mode, throw in a couple of bucks more and get a M$ tablet without some artificially cripled firmware and instead the guarantee to sustain a current software version with all relevant bug and security fixes during the product's life time...
I just got my M3 tab today, noticed this same problem.
Checked from google and found this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...ultiaccount&rdid=com.excelliance.multiaccount
Installing this shows warning about virus, so deleted instally.
Could someone check if this is really virus or false alarm?
Hm, install a Chinese app to get a single second user as a poor replacement for something that's build in but has been willfully ablated by the manufacturer - I wouldn't be willing to do that...
I bought a Kopset Optiumus Prime which has pretty good hardware; 3gb Ram, 32gb ROM, LTE, Ceramic bezel, etc...but the apps are unsat and about anything I install from the Playstore is barely usable if it all. I can't find a way to activate accessibility functions for zoom, so often times I'm stuck with being unable to access buttons that would render in the lower right of the screen.
I've seen several threads on how to install normal Android apks onto a WearOS device, my question is has there been a way found to do the opposite and force install a WearOS apk onto a watch running full Android 7.1? I would love to get the Telegram WatchOS apk installed and running on my watch and would pay a bounty of anyone could show me how to do it.
Also, I have a several WearOS devices and I'm not fond of them (battery life, lag, etc...) along with a Gear S3 Frontier which has its own issues. I see this Kopset or something similar as being potentially very good if I could run apps optimized for it.
No, WearOS is different OS than Android. Some (rare) apps wich do not use any WearOS library can sometime.
(DISCLAIMER: This thread is a repost, I don't know how to move my old thread from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/developing-wear-os-apps-for-ticwatch-gtx.4233191/ to this topic)
Hi there, I just recently bought a Ticwatch GTX, thinking it was installed with Wear OS, but turns out it was installed with a proprietary OS made by Mobvoi (I know... I'm really not careful). The reason why I bought the watch in the first place was to create Wear OS apps with it, but after buying it, I can't even find out how to enable ADB debugging... I've tried clicking each item listed in the Settings page (there is no Build number) 10 times, and none of them triggered a response or a toast message. Any help is appreciated.
I would assume it doesn't support ADB, and even if it does it has only 16MB storage which is probably all filled up by the OS and built-in apps, so I doubt you would be able to fit any other app there.
I found that both the ticwatch s2 and the e2 is priced at only $119.99 now, which is insanely cheap for a Wear OS watch, so you could get one of them, or you could get a refurbished Sport or Express for only 2 dollars more than the gtx.
I also found your post in the ticwatch forum and there you mentioned that this is for an assignment. I can se why you would want a physical device to test on if you are going to make several apps and publish them, but if it's only for an assignment I would think that using an emulator would be good enough
Hi,
Was looking on the supported device list for LineageOS, I don't see the Tab A SM-T307U (2020) anywhere.
https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/#samsung
Does anyone know if it ever will be supported? How does one go about requesting support? What is required to support this device? Is it possible? Thanks

I too would LOVE to have LineageOS 18.1 on my SM-T307U. In fact, the reason I picked up a Galaxy Tab S5e was because I could not find any remedy for my SM-T307U. (I'm still happy about the S5e...ecstatic actually...but learned my lesson to check Root and LineageOS device lists first before picking up any new Android device.)
Anyway, it appears that they've locked down the boot loader on SM-T307U, and nobody has figured out a way around it yet. Don't know if they ever will. Best I can do so far is use "PackageDisabler" paid app (google store)to disable/remove all the Samsung Bloatware, and load my Nova Launcher config & Wallpapers.
The more important thing for me (over a working LineageOS build), would even just to have an Android 11 build for the SM-T307U. I have strong doubts we will ever see one from Samsung/ATT (I have the ATT version).
Ok thank you.
I got the tab a for free from a t-mobile promo. I would have done as you did and checked for support first if I actually bought one.
It does however say android 11 in the system info.
Mine is on Android 10 w/ATT. I did not add it to my ATT account (no Sim), so it is WiFi only. Sw update continues to say no update available for OTA. I just did a fac reset today to see if that may spur it, but still no joy.
