My phone charged fully by 11.00 pm last night, used it for few minutes, and when I went to sleep at 12.00, the batt was 100%, woke up at 8 to see batt at 92%.

It is because of adaptive brightness setting.
But we have to use it
Adaptive brightness setting problem has been solved.

NGL, the 6000 Mah battery is impressive. Only 8% stand-by Drain in 10 hours.

Lol my Redmi Note 9 Pro Max drains 1%-2% for 9 hours if i put it on DND and sleep. It has only 5020 mAh battery and Samsung M31 6000 mAh drained 8%-12% failed against Xiaomi. Samsung

There are days when I had experienced close to 40% baterry drain (I don't use wifi) . On an average 10 to 15% drainage happens. Will double check this.
I have stopped using all good to have sensors and software features so that battery drainage is reduced. Hoping future software updates makes battery usage efficient.
Have managed to get satisfactory performance from battery now but at the cost of disabling Bixby, always on display and many sensor driven features including face unlock
No battery drain at all get 9 hours screen time on!

I have observed Battery drain before as well as after Oreo update on Samsung A8+.
From 12 midnight to 6 AM, I have observed at least 7-8% drop in battery level. It also happens even if phone is in battery saver mode. At this time my phone is in Do Not Disturd mode and AOD is also disabled. Any solution for this issue?
My earlier handset Moto Z Play was dropping only 1% at night for same duration.

Standby drain over a full day with commuting and running around a bit at work has the power consumption with the screen off at around 1.1%. I have a lot of email accounts and android wear synced though, so that might also increase power consumption.
Over night I generally lose way less, around 3% in 8 hrs.
I can't believe myself...
Went to bed at 2 in the night at 83% battery...
Woke up at 7.45 AM at 82% battery...
Just 01% drop...
Ofcourse both WiFi and mobile data were turned off...
Lost 6 percent in 7 hours idle with data and wifi off on 1st night.

That is pretty good. That was my usual drain on Oreo but when I upgraded to Pie it went up to about 9%.
Got my V40 yesterday. First overnight drain was 16%. I hope this is teething problems only.

My standby drain is 3% in 11 hours.
Got the phone yesterday. Didn't insert the SIM yet.
So ? is in airplane mode
Standby drain 0% loss in 5hrs overnight
Lost 1% after I woke up & used the phone for a while as seen from the screenshots ??✌

I got my phone yesterday too! It's fantastic! I am surprised at all the hype the Honor Play is getting, when the REAL gaming phone is this Honor Note 10!
Standby for me ROCKS as well. When not in use, it NEVER moves in terms of battery percentage.
AND IT CHARGES SO FAST! Crazy good man! :laugh: :good:

Battery drains on standby
V11 battery drains even if battery saver mode is on. I use to sleep when my battery is 100% and I always woke up with my battery 20% or less. Sad to happen.

Never happened to me ever.
I have almost all my apps running in background.Check your battery settings with apps.

Ist v11 or v11 pro?
Even battery setting or anything else cant drain 100 to 20%.for sure battery problem. Go and complain the official vivo store in your area.
I second what @RahilSayed88 said, no battery issues here, standby drain is about 3 - 5% max at night with wifi and sync on. If i turn the data off i am sure it would be around 2 - 3% only
Try a factory reset if you have an abnormal discharge in standby
