Stock ROM - Odin says Ok but no change - Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) Questions & Answers

Hello. I installed CleanPie from this forum, and the instalation went Ok. I then noticed that I have no SIM, no IMEI, nothing regarding the carrier network.
I already tried creating a IMEIRepair.zip like some tutorials say, to flash on TWRP, but no change. I decided to revert back to Stock ROM, but when I run Odin with the Stock ROM files, it runs in 2 seconds, says Ok, and makes absolutely no change.

Can anyone help me with this? Any alternative way to restore to Stock ROM?

Some feedback on this thread. I know this is stupid, and I can't be sure if this was the problem, but I ran Odin as administrator, and I'm getting another error, the device 6 binary 5, which means I don't have the latest stock rom to flash on Odin. So if anyone has this problem of it loading too fast, and finishing in 2 seconds, try running it on Administrator.

Download the latest firmware for your model. There is a newer version for you. Flash it with odin..then reboot. After that flash twrp.go to twrp without rebooting, now back up boot,modem and efs,cpfs files. Flash clean pie. Reboot..there will not be any signal or imei. If so reboot in to twrp and restore the boot modem efs and cpfs now reboot..now it should show imei and signal..
Other option is change helios kernel with the rom to any other kernel like cronos or kraken..it is so easy..done

Problem in the default recovery - multi-CSC applied?!

Hello,
I have the Stock ICS 4.0.4 LRG for Germany on my Portuguese TMN's Note.
Since I have upgraded from LPY to LRG, everytime I enter in the Stock Recovery (VolUP+Home+Power) I have this message:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

}
I don't have any idea why this is happening. And... KOR CSC?! I don't have nothing related with Korea.
Anyway, after 1 second of appearing this image, the menu appears and seems to be working fine (I can go to the temporary CWM, etc).
How can I correct this?
Thank you.
Multi CSC means the firmware contains multiple csc.
Do not change CSC on stock kernnel. This might trigger brick bug.
Use CSC Select to change CSC.

Thanks. I don't want to factory reset now. Also through that app you have to factory reset so you are also in risk of the brick bug, right?
Is this an issue having this error on the recovery?

Multi-CSC ?? - No it is not an error.
Changing CSC factory resets the phone so be careful with stock kernels on ICS.
Anyway, you can use safe kernels like SpeedMod or NoteCore.
Everytime I loaded the default recovery, i got that CSC message. After, I got the null problems on samsung keyboard. Very annoying.
Reflashed LRG and switched to CF-kernel 5.6 to get rid of the problem. (CWM)

Can't update via OTA after back to stock

Factory reset
The flash should have been enough though, try flashing it again

All I have to do is flash the firmware via odin, right? I think that my bootloader is still unlocked. Anyway, I will wait Marshmallow update to do the factory reset
Yep, flash stock with ODIN and it will return the device to Official status and allow OTA
Try reflashing the firmware and if it doesn't work, it might be because you have trigged your KNOX counter.

KNOX doesn't affect OTA, or anything else
I've had KNOX 0x1 for over a year and it hasn't affected anything at all, fingerprint, private mode, OTA, everything still works
I think it only affects joining an enterprise domain, but don't have one to test
Voiding Warranty is the main purpose of KNOX
clear cache, data,dalvik cache in reecovery and then flash the firmware again
Thanks to you all, I will flash Marshmallow via odin as soon as samsung will release it

That's why I said "it might be". I had my KNOX counter to 0x1 and I never went back to stock ROMs but I do agree it shouldn't affect OTA.
Try flashing using Odin 3.09 it fixed my problem.

Need G928V Odin Firmware with PIT file.

I tried looking everywhere but I have a Galaxy S6 Edge+ which took an OTA and got into a boot loop, nothing helps at all. I tried to ODIN Pl1 version I found but it won't get past the application optimization part with the gears before it shuts off and restarts again. I also found the PC2 version, but it won't even flash for me, that version fails, maybe because it's older than Pl1?
I just need to locate the latest file and associated PIT that I can flash on the Verizon device. I think the partitions are possibly jacked up.
I also don't want to pay an arm and a leg for the firmware.
Any help is appreciated!
I have been able to get a PF2 firmware as well, I place it in the AP area (PDA) and once connected, hit Start and the thing keeps failing, just like it did with PC2. When I do the Pl1 version though it actually goes all the way through, what gives?

Did you try emergency recovery with smart switch?

What's the version that you've got by ota? Just flash that version(must be latest in case), try to boot if it doesnt; boot into stock recovery; wipe cache/dalvik, factory reset(I dont remember which options were there). The fact is; bootloaders of latest firmwares are lock up which means you can't downgrade even previous one you've been using. Custom roms would helpful to get rid of that bootloop but don't know if its available for Verizon devices. Good luck.

SM-G935T Factory Binary and No Recovery

I have a FRP locked SM-G935T. I thought I was experienced enough to kind of breeze through the whole process without much thought to it and I made a small but critical error.
I saw, on the phone, that Android was 8.0 and the firmware version was something like G935Txxx5xxx so I did some basic Googling anbd found a combo file named something like combo_file_G935Txxx5xxx and I downloaded and flashed.
I soon came to the Factory Binary Mode, just like I was hoping would happen and then I tried to apply FRP Unlock with Z3X Box and SamsungToolPro and the program finished with no error.
I returned to my firmware download page so that I could download the latest firmware compatible with my firmware version. MUCH to my shock and utter horror there was no Android 8.0 firmwware.
Now, I realise there is one option: I can wait and hope they release the Android 8.0 firmware to the public. soon.
Another option that occured to me is that I might be possible to install a custom ROM and maybe even ROOTaccess. I can find peace with this as an alternative to Stock firmware.
I tried to flash the Qualcomm version of the latest TWRP Recovery and the process failed. Now, when I try to start Recovery Mode it errors with a

Thanks, as always, all my love and appreciation!!!

It would appear to me that you have a hardware failure and not just corrupt firmware. You could try flashing from Odin again and include the CSC as well as BL and AP, but I doubt it will work. Time to contact Samsung tech support.

I've only had to deal with them once and that was only to unlock a tablet with a FRP lock. They sent me a shipping label and I got the tablet back in about a week. But the tablet was still in warranty and I had "proof of purchase". But they have a toll free number, 1-800-SAMSUNG, you can call and they'll probably tell you what it will cost if it is out or warranty.
