My TCL 10 Pro if bad at the top speaker, it's on a low frequency side and I wish was louder too, pretty disappointed.
On my old Xperia Z2, the dual speaker sadly had very low volume but on calls the top speaker really worked pretty damn good even better than the loudspeaker LOL, it was crystal clear and loud.

I find the Day quite good in my Mi6, not as good as a high def player (like fiio X3) but still fairly good.
Using Shure Se215 and love the sound of my Mi6.

Sound come under the display with no earpiece grill. It feels like loudspeaker but sounded clean and clear. Need time to get used to it.

Loud, crisp and clear. And it can even go to the low levels.
Good quality
Call quality is nice, I noticed it uses wifi based calling as well, when connected to wifi. I beleive that helps in improving call quality as well. Clear and smooth sound.
