OnePlus 6T - Galaxy Buds+ integration - OnePlus 6T Questions & Answers

The Galaxy Buds+, when paired with OnePlus 6T gives a very bad call quality. The callers could here a lot of external noise and also wind noise from my side. But, the same Buds+ when connected with other phones (iphone x, s10lite, note9) give a good call quality. Now my callers shout at me to disconnect the buds+ while talking with them. Does anyone else use Buds+ with OnePlus 6T and face the same issue? Does changing ROM solve this? Or nothing could be done?

I had the same issue to the point that I had to get rid of them. One plus BT is terrible and has been for a while.

Galaxy Buds Plus One plus Issues
Seems to be the same for a whole lot of people. May be for all.
Its a bit peculiar considering they all worked fine for the initial few days.
Watch this link for more details please: https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/samsung-galaxy-buds-calls-on-oneplus-7-pro.1202290/

I'm facing the same issue. Should I hope for a fix anytime soon?

Poor call quality on Rogers arc

Has anyone experienced piss poor call quality on their arc with the noise cancelling turned on or off? All of my clients that I speak to say that all they hear is static coming from my end when I can hear them perfectly. Maybe I just got a lemon, but I want to knowif anyone else is having the same problem
I unlocked mine and am using it on Telus. So far I have not had anyone complain about the quality of the call on the other end.
Anyone else care to chime in? I tried a voice recorder app, and it seems that the sound is a bit tinny... Maybe I did get a lemon =\
No issues with voice quality. I think it is better than any of the HTC phones or the Motorola that I've had.

Noise reduction/cancellation on Lolipop 5.1.1

Hi there,
Firstly i'm sorry if there are any other posts related to this subject, i've searched and i found no results.
I've just purchased a new toy "Note 4" Vodafone Romania. I absolutely love this phone. Usually when i buy a new phone i'm testing to see if there are any quality problems left over by the Samsung Quality Department.
The only thing that i've managed to find and it really bothers me is that in call quality is quite low due to noise reduction not working!? I've tried to check/uncheck dialog box for many times, restart the device, clear phone app cache and data nothing seems to work. Altough all the mics seems to work correctly in all recording modes terefore i don't think it's a hardware issue.
Does anyone experience this issue? Or could you please tell me if i have a faulty unit or it's just a software issue that can be fixed by Marshmallow perhaps?
Thank you.
the call quality on my note 4 is very good and loud (compared to my nexus 4). What 5.1.1 in particular is your phone on?

Hi,
I also experience a clear and loud voice reception on my note 4. The problem is with noise reduction setting, the problems is on the other side of the line, in loud environments the person who am i talking with can hear me well, but also can hear the noise in the background pretty well so it seems that with or without noise reduction active it has the same result background noise isn't suppressed.
I come from Note 3 where even in very loud environments the noise reduction was acting flawless, on the other line i was heard like sitting on the couch in a "zen - place".
The mics are working flawless, so i suppose it's a software issue.
Any dev. that could help me?
Thanks.

Speakerphone (loudness, clarity)

Proper etiquette aside (hint: don't use speakerphone while doing your "business" in a public bathroom), rate this thread to express how you think the Samsung Galaxy S9's speakerphone performs. A higher rating indicates that you love it: it's loud and it's clear.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Very interested to find out.
definitely samsung had improved a lot over numerous iterations and should deserve a pat in the back for finally bringing stereo speaker output to its phones. however, the S9 isn't the best, but also no slouch.
from scale 1 to 10 , i'd rate :
clarity : 8
bass : 5
hint : activate the dolby atmos feature and tweak to your liking, you'll be surprised how much it can improve the sound quality!
:good:
dolby atmos speaker tweaked by AKG is awesome..
Best Speaker experience in S series. Thumbs Up. I am a S series fan and held all S series from the start (except S6 & S8). I hold the S9 256 gb version.. S9 is miles better than any phone on this planet with the optimized user experience in all categories (form factor, weight, sound, video, game, browsing, etc....) The only thing I see it should have been 6 gb ram inorder to be futuristic. The flagships getting released in 2019 will have 6/8gb ram as standard.
Is cool
The sound is really good. It's not the best I think, there are others with more bass? But the epicness is enough for me. Watching Anime battles or WHATEVER you want is really cool with dolby.
And it's really loud.
9/11
Quality and clarity is outstanding I give it a eight 8
I just thought Dolby Atmos would have a deeper affect than it does but I am in no ways dissatisfied.
It has such clarity, watching movies with Dolby Atmos activated is amazing!!!
I got the Samsung Galaxy S9 at the beginning of the month and one of my biggest disappointement is the mic quality in speakerphone mode, when using a VoIP app or VoLTE (when the HQ sound is on).
The noise cancellation sounds terrible, other people hear my voice muffled or just cannot hear me... and Samsung seems to give no **** about that (it could be a software problem?). (I'm running Pie, final version).

I need to check if the custom rom or even the stock one have the same problem. I hope a software update will fix it soon... *finger crossed* (there is actually not a lot of hope since the last update didn't fix anything)
This has been an ongoing problem through several of the Galaxy phones now. I've gone on numerous expeditions trying to fix it. Verizon will even offer to replace the phone but it doesn't help. For anyone not familiar with the problem, try calling someone while HD voice is enabled. I'm on Verizon. They call it VoLTE but I believe other carriers have similar issues with the Galaxy phones. While on the call, if I turn on speakerphone the person I am talking to will not be able to hear me or I will be extremely muffled like I am under water. I know it is a software bug because the speakerphone works perfectly if you disable HD voice and use the 1X cellular connection for the call. Only 4G calls have the issue. My wife and I both have S9 phones and Verizon service. You would think for what we paid for these phones and how much we pay each month that someone could get a speakerphone to work properly.

The stereo speakers of Oneplus 7 is just performing like a Oneplus 7 pro. I think there won't be any issues like call drop or reception connectivities.
I bought OnePlus 7 yesterday and its amazing. sound quality of this phone is too good as both sound driver is working well and louder.
Compared with 6t, you can feel the difference.
Speakers are great...
Fall just short of S10 and Xr speakers imo.
But loving the loudness.
Haven't gone above 50% volume yet.

On GSMarena they sad "non pro speaker feel better than OP7 Pro"
Back of the phone vibrates.
Front speaker in the earpiece make my OnePlus 7 vibrate. Vibration is so much that it feels like an hardware issue. During phone call and also during music or video playback. Anyone facing same issue. Is it natural or did I received a faulty product.

It is natural. Mine behaves like yours. I do not think you should worry about it!
I just watched some YouTube video and put the volume up and the earpiece speaker didn't vibrate. Damn it's loud as hell.[emoji24][emoji1787] Maybe eventually it will vibrate because it's so loud?

Can't use loudspeaker with integrated SIP (VOIP) Calls on OP7 OOS10 Stable
On my OnePlus 7 is impossible to make loudspeaker calls. The other person can't understand one word! If anyone check at OnePlus official forum will see a lot of people with the same problem.

I have the same issue.. the loudspeaker on this phone is useless while making calls as the other party cannot hear me. It seems it is a software bug:
https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/speaker-phone-poor-mic-quality.1062469/
OP7 is not turning on the external microphones on the top and right-bottom of phone when on speakerphone and only keeps the left directional mic on as it is during regular calls. Strange that if you turn on sound recorder apps or any other calling apps (Duo, Whatsapp) the mics for the loud spaker work properly. OnePlus needs to fix this!
integrated sip calls in phone app at loudspeaker make mic stop working, OOS 10.0.0.1 and 10.0.0.2
Dear Oneplus 7 Users (not PRO and not T version) – pure Oneplus 7.
I would like to ask about your feeling of earpiece speaker. (especially call quality and loudness).
I have had many phones in my life but with Oneplus 7 my experience of earpiece speaker is quite bad.
I feel calls are not so loud and other issue is that I have to put earpiece speaker directly in front of my ear. Any small movement of phone strongly decrease call volume. It looks like earpiece in Oneplus 7 is very small or something is built very specific way in this phone because I haven’t meet similar issue in any phone that I have previous. I have real problem speaking "on street" to hear other side.
I would ask other people for their opinion.

I Have the same exact problem
Speaker Loudness issue only while receiving calls
Hi all, I am facing issues with the call ring volume on my OP7. Whenever I receive a call, my ring volume is very low but in settings everything is at max volume. any idea how to fix this issue?

Call quality

When you call granny, does she keep saying "Huh?! Wut?!" or does the conversation flow pretty well? Rate this thread to express how you feel about the OnePlus 7 Pro's call quality. A higher rating indicates that calls are clear and crisp, and that regardless of background noise, you can hear the other party clearly (and with ample volume) and they can hear you.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
The call quality on the oneplus 7 pro has been very good and actually does better at holding a signal in weak areas than my HTC U11 did.
The call quality is grate but there is more crackling in called when calling someone on att from the TMobile usage oneplus 7 pro. Could be that the att phone has a week signal. Just wish battery was better other then that the phone on TMobile is wonderful
Call ne
I also notice some cracking in the sound while having a regular call. That cracking was not there with my OnePlus 2, same carrier and SIM card.
Call quality is fantastic.
When switching from Bluetooth to phone, a weird little delay that I didn't have on the 5t.
I'm a bit confused by the call quality. I'm calling OnePlus users, Pocophone users, Huawei and Xiaomi Mi 9 users.
When calling them while they drive and have it connected to the car, everything is okay. They are all loud and clear.
When calling "normal", I can easily hear the Pocophone user as well as the Huawei user. If there's a call by a Oneplus 6, it's almost too quiet. Xiaomi Mi 9 is almost silent, it's a pain to understand the caller even with maximum volume.
The Xiaomi users are reporting a bit of crackling sound from time to time when I'm speaking, for the rest it's a very great quality.
When I have low signal (around -105db), I still find that the phone connects and the conversation isn't dropped, chopped, or grainy. Bluetooth calling doesn't have much of a delay either from car or headset, so overall pretty pleased.
The earpiece volume seems very low on mine even though turned up fully
I can hear people very well, and people on the other end can hear me extremely well. Girlfriend says she has to turn down the volume a couple notches specifically when I call her with this phone because my voice comes through so loud and clear.
sometimes when I'm trying to do a phone call , they can hear my voice but I can't hear them, it also happens that the tune sound simply doesn't sound, it seems like the phone is mute... so I have to hang down the call and repeat, and then it works sometimes I had to restart the OnePlus 7 pro... it seems like being a software issue and I hope somebody can fix this soon because it is very annoying
I absolutely love the call quality so far! Just have no data or text with straight talk

Yes
I can hear people crystal clear and i've been told that they can hear me pretty well but sometimes muffled when outside. I have xperience issues with the call volume when using bluetooth headphones, max volume doesn't seem to be very high but i will take clear call quality over i higher volume.
Excellent on bliss
