Definitely agree with what u said! If HiSuite could let us take nandroid backups too it'd be even better joking, for that there are already custom recoveries...
Do you guys take money or gift from Huawei? In all this real life threads there are the same guys talking about how great is this phone. That is not so great.

The EMUI camera app is very simple to use. It comes with plenty of features and you can customize a lot of the settings.

One think i found odd is that NFC is not located in the quick access area(swipe down). You actually have to go into settings to enable or disable it. Could be something with Nova launcher . It's been many years since I goofed around with Nova so I'm very familiar with all the settings. Could have been a touchwiz feature. I've been on Samsung and touchwiz so long i have forgotton how many features were exclusive to Samsung. And Yes it is a little refreshing.

I found the same thing, I missed the sound profile toggle from my Galaxy S7. Since then I've been using 'Tile Extension for Nougat' (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gunny.bunny.tilemedia) which add the toggles back into the Quick Settings Menu, But in your case you will need to install 'Nougat / Oreo Quick Settings' (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=it.simonesestito.ntiles) instead for NFC option as Tile Extension doesn't seem to have that toggle.

give it 6 months to a year so they finish software then get the build quality sorted out and the phone running on fully functional software all should be set , at the moment it's good hardware with junk software if they reckon this is polished is a polished turd

I don't know what your talking about, but right now as it stands, it's pretty polished to me. The only real issue i noticed was the camera and that's made quite a bit better by the last 2 updates from the ota's and camera updates via play store. I don't know what else you expect to be tweaked or fixed. This is based offa a stock android with few extra crap installed, unlike samsung/lg/etc and I wouldn't trade it
Now give us a nice oreo 8.1 update and keep them coming regularly and I'd be happy as hell!

if Samsung or Apple put out a phone with the software unfinished as this has on it they would have customers returning them ie note 7 fiasco, don't get me wrong it's a good phone but I feel it's been rushed to market. and I own in the region of 3 grands worth of razer products I just feel this is sub par compared to their normal effort.

This is also there first phone.. Dunno if you remember how bad some other launches were years ago.
Granted they did rush the software, but that's easily fixed assuming they keep up with updates, which they have been very good with so far.
I'm no razer fanboi, but I think they have a stellar phone, easily a successor to the nexus line of phones by Google.

Stock camera app is very slow (even after the update).
Open Camera is better and has much more options.
Almost pure android
Very good so far. Nice near stock rom.

Phones with good spec and low price range always have good possibility for getting good devs, that's what happened. Let's hope f7 too get the same attention.
Overall its a great phone but really not a fan of ColorOS, need some xda magic. But then I read somewhere that Oppo has violated GPL by not turning our kernel sources before :S

Well, it's a great phone with great specifications vs price. But did you check/notice its SAR values?
I've been using oppo realme 1 since a day. Lacking of fingerprint sensor is a con. Face unlock in nights or dark condition is also not possible. Overall phone is very great. No led notification light presence . less bloat ware but it comes with 24 gb preoccupied os and 104 gb free ROM overall. Battery optimisation was pretty good. Face unlock is faster and good but it unlocks when sleeping or easy to others unlock while we sleep or unaware. Waiting for XDA magic .
Yes the phone is amazing I have the 3gb version and I am happy with it .
This is my first phone from oppo and I am happy.and i trust oppo more than other brand like mi or honor, have used both of the smartphones
Phone performance is good.
i very irritated about the color os.
i cant change wallpaper
cant change launcher to pixel launcher
face unlock is not working in low light and the pin is 6 digit. it should have fingerprint scanner
cant dismiss notification in one swipe. [copy ios for a good thing]
lot of simple android feature they mad it very complicated and difficult to use[eg : - screen splitting]
camera have some grainy even in good light condition[ but that is not my concern]
i will change some stock android at the moment it is available.
COLOR OS SUCKS.
PS : i jist got the phone today only. more comes. and i cant find any feature as handy in color os exept the navigation that gives full display view
Simple Questions
1. How do I change the fonts? Have iFonts installed and downloaded the font I want to change to, but I dont find the setting to change fonts
2. How / Where do I get to see the Data / Wifi Usage and Battery drain over a time line
Coming to the Realme 1 from the good old OnePlus 1, so kind of took these as granted.
Realme 1 doesn't have the option to show battery usage. I could be wrong but i was not able to find the option.
Changing fonts through iFonts need the phone to be rooted?

Custom ROM will change the scene,
possibly in near future.
Sent from my MotoG3 using XDA Labs
I wanted to buy realme 1 as I liked it's processor and aggressive price. But the only thing I am worried about is Dev support for custom roms. If anyone can assure me I will buy the smartphone. Oppo doesn't seem like a brand that wants it's users to root and use custom roms on their device
I'm enjoying this device for more than a week now. First thing I love with this device is cellular reception/call quality. Next is dual 4G. Quick app loading time.
Down side I could say,
Camera seems to soften the image too much.
Memory management in 3GB variant is poor.
Overall excellent device and its really worth every rupee!

Rare chance of custom ROM for Helio P60
This is the reason why snapdragons processor are most popular as the source hence we get tons of custom ROM,
But i doubt if someone will release a custom ROM for Realme 1[QRCODE][/QRCODE]

Lineage is already in the works
Hoping there will soon be app, or something in general to be able to handle the slider, I've seen a few custom ROMs have:
Not working - Slider (no app to handle)
This isn't a complaint either, just something I'm hopeful of
I have a lot of comments. I really love the GPS on this phone (just awesome). I love the slider but only used it once. I have to say the camera takes great pictures at night (again, just awesome). But what really, really sucks on this phone is MIUI. Cannot root the latest China ROM version and putting the clock on the left side makes as much sence as some engineer cutting a great big stupid fat notch out of the top of the screen just to put a camera in it. Hopefully, Lineage will fix the software faults MIUI has taken on. What is missing is front or back duel firing speakers and FM Radio. I am really glad that I order the 256GB version.

Flash the mod in twrp to center the clock.
FM radio is dying so pointless Xiaomi to accommodate it
Flash the magisk module to boost top speakers output for duel firing.

Well source code will be released in December and it'll take few months for devs to create custom roms. So I'd say even the ones who always use their devices with custom roms/kernels will need to stick with Color OS for half a year ? I'm not too jolly about it but it's something I can use to experience stock rom and experience so I'll be able to share native opinions here.
Color OS is not half bad. Though it has horrible memory managament and aggressive app policies plus security. It's kind of a feature that comes with devices imported from China. After all the government still has to censor and regulate things thanks to Communism. I'd say you can get used to their Android skin. The only thing that is bugging me is how strict their third party app security is. It won't allow to install a lot of apps and will scan each app for half a minute before installing. You can't even turn off this kind of strict app censure unlike Xiaomi devices with MiUi skin.

Don't be. It's close not as bad as sounds. I used it with ease for more than a week even though I'm an advanced user who uses magisk and lucky patcher for debugging reasons all the time and Color os has made it really difficult for me to use them. If you're an average user color os can be a fine daily driver. Even though it has stupid memory, battery management it can still last a day. I've successfully ditched color os thanks to @thesprintster for his unofficial lineage os I can live with a near-stock aosp like experience with face unlock, fingerprint, lucky patcher, magisk working fine. The only thing that custom development couldn't solve (yet) is the 48mp camera which comes with color os. If you're the type of person who uses high resolution pictures all the time I advice you to stay on Color os. If you can live without it(like I do) I can fully help and guide you how to install lineage or aosip rom on your rm5p or rmq. It's up to you whether or not you buy this device but for me it was a best buy for 164$ and I don't regret buying it even though I've bricked my device like 10+ times in the early testing period.

Thank you very much. Unfortunately, I removed it from my basket, was going to buy it on AliExpress' 11.11 sale and decided not to.
Good to know that it's not all doom and gloom. Probably have to wait for more dev work if Realme open things up.

Everything is fine. Just as it should be. I've tried like 7+ gsi roms and now aosip and lineage. All of them works fine and without issues. I've been on lineage for a week and battery/performance is way superior to stock chingchong color os ?*
ColorOS is pure ?. Heard that android 10 will be close to stock android.. really? Saw the screenshots recently.. same colorOS crap! Why they make based on colorOS? Cook up a ui based on aosp and call it stock android. I think actually realme misleading buyers that they are going to implement "Close to stock android"!!??
