Gallery permission issue "you need to allow permission in Settings" - Samsung Galaxy S10+ Questions & Answers

Hi, does anyone know the error message "to use this feature, you need to allow permission in Settings" when trying to open an app?
Everytime I want to open the gallery the "error" appears.
But I've set every permission on settings. Please see Screenshots.
This all started with editing pictures a while ago. I couldn't edit pictures with the edit button out of the gallery, because the photo editor always stopped working. Why? I don't know.
And know I've deleted the app using root explorer. I've deleted following out of /system/priv-app:
PhotoEditor_Q_Full
SamsungGallery2018
And I've restored it to priv-app, with the correct permissions (755 for folders and 644 for files), but it doesn't work and ends up with the mentioned error message.
Does anyone know how to restore my gallery with photo editor and/or get over this error message?
Thanks in advance

[Q] Gallery issues

I have a few questions re: the gallery that I'd love some help with.
1. Gallery doesn't update a folder if I move a picture using a file explorer (Astro or Root Explorer for example). If I reboot the phone then the picture shows up in the correct directory. I'm guessing that restarting the gallery app would do the same thing. Anyone else having this issue?
2. Is there a way to have the gallery only look to one location for pics? I hate how it always grabs every image on my SD Card. Especially if you have Bejeweled installed. It adds about 10 folders of images that I don't want to have to browse through. Is there another gallery app that would allow me to set this if the stock gallery doesn't work that way?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
Also noticing that the Gallery just doesn't update frequently. I thought it did this every time you opened it, but I guess not. Is there a way to force programs to re-scan the SD card?
SDRescan in the market works perfectly... and if you want to keep the folder from being seen in the gallery, just add a blank text file to the folder and rename it .nomedia
Thanks odrecords. Both of those work perfectly.
stock gallery will grab images from any folder on your SD if you don't want your gallery to load em theres two ways when in gallery hit menu then show hide. this will do as it says and either load or not load certain folders. Other option is to place a period in front of the folder name u want hidden i.e. ".test". This will hide it from the Android system in general but not file explorers.

how do i go about doing that?
I've tried to find it, but just can't find out for the life of me!
You need Root Explorer, ES Explorer or similar. Before you paste into /system/app you must mount /system as read/write within the app, then paste your file in. Once there, tap and hold on the file and a menu will appear with an option to fix permissions. You need to set owner with read/write and group and world with read only (it looks like rw-r--r--).

to changes permissions , you nedd root, and SUPER SU.
If you are root install it from play store.
Then, when you are on root explorer and try to move or edit something from system you´ll be prompted if you bring supersu to root explorer. You must accept.
For the permissions, select a file and keep it pressed a few segs. It will show you a menu, then you have permissions

problem opening apk lite P9

Hello to all,
I found this annoying problem for a few weeks when I open the .apk files directly from notifications instead of starting the installation of the app, the same file is opened by the "File Manager" as a .zip preventing me from installing the app but permettondomi in vain to check the contents. Initially this did not happen, but he walked directly installation. I checked if the manager appeared as the default app but it is not nothing. Does anyone have advice on how can I bring everything to the initial situation? It could be a default of the last update (VNS-L31C55B150)?
Hello.
I think that if you long click the APK in the Notification Bar it will take you to the exact place in Settings where you can change the default opening Program.
If that fails, try to Reset your app-preferences. Have you changed/flashed/installed anything prior to the problem ?
I do not remember but maybe Precise And coincided with the upgrade of system
I have just had the same issue as you, yet when downloading the apk from a different source worked for me. I don't really know why it gets detected as just a .zip archive rather than a apk. Have you tried other sources or renaming/repacking the apk ?
Solve looking for the apk file you downloaded, and opening it with the file manager, but I do so in more steps

[System App Request Please] SecGallery (Gallery app) For SM-G531H

Hello, this is my first post here ... (but that is not what matters now lol).

And because of this I can't set up my background wallpapers to the *home and lock screen* How can I solve this? thanks for the attention

Hello! First of all excuse my English, I am using Google Translate.
So I hope you can at least understand me...
When you convert a system application to a user application the apk is saved in a root folder:
"/data/app/" so from there you can search the gallery folder and apk file, example: "/data/app/com.example.secgallery". copy that folder and paste it in "/system/app" or "system/priv-app" and restart the cell phone. Or you can create a folder too and paste the apk inside that folder in the system files. Cheers!

In: system / priv-app, this folder already exists and contains the apk inside, there is also a folder called "lib", and in it, there are no files.
I also checked the directory: data/app/
and there is no com.sec.android.gallery3d folder
Should i move the folder:
com.sec.android.gallery3d...Which is at: system/priv-app to: system/app ?
Because in: "system/app" this folder doesn't exist
