Looking for G1 sounds

I'm looking for a sound dump from a stock T-Mobile G1 rom. Ringtones and notifications please if possible. My G1 broke and I would like to use some of the sounds on my TBolt. I apologize if this isn't posted in the right section.

No luck with Astro. I can seem to find anything that opens .nbh on the phone. I will have to find something on the computer if no one posts the dump for me.

naa what you need is to download like a stock g1 rom that you KNOW has the sounds your looking for... than you un-zip that file and search in it for a media folder, thats where you'll find the ringtones and notifications sounds.. than you can either add them to another Rom's .zip file which im not sure if that works lol or you can add them to your sd card.. im sure there's other ways too...
The old audio resources can be found here: http://n0rp.chemlab.org/android/
And there is an AOSP media pack on the FBL post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=929678 ("AOSP media")
Thanks AdamPI. I was ripping my hair out looking for something that would open the nbh files. I really appreciate your help!

[Q] Editing System Files

*N00B Alert*
I just downloaded this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=769026
I'm trying to change the DPI back to 240. The guide seems easy enough; use a text editor and change the value in the file.
However the problem is that I can't seem to save the changes I have made. Read Only?
I'm new to these things so I'm problem doing something fundamentally stupid. The rom is already rooted I think.
BTW in b4 "lolololoool use search tool on forum". I already have, but my android lingo isn't good so I'm probably searching for the wrong thing.
Using "File Manager" and "Text Edit" apps to find and edit the file respectively.
Thanks

ES File Explorer (free) will let you mount system directories, you have to enable it in settings.

Thank you. I installed it and somehow I can't seem to find that app in my app drawer. I can't run it from the "App Manager" either. Any ideas? Maybe that wasn't the installer APK file...

Create shortcut apk for built-in CarPlay (Phone Link) app

-----------
UPDATE --- Figured it out (APK is attached on the 2nd post). This works on Eonon HU's that have Carplay built in to them. Other HU might have a different package name but give it a shot.
-----------
Hi,
My CarPlay app (called Phone Link) won't show up in the list of apps for any launchers (Agama car launcher). I've installed some shortcut apks which creates a shortcut app to the actual app (for apps like Radio, Bluetooth, etc) -https://altercars.ru/instructions/agama/For_Launchers.zip
Is there a shortcut app for the CarPlay app? Has anyone figured this out yet?
Rishi
Last time I checked the problem was on the Apple side of the fence. Apple does not officially support connection the android units and does not allow apps to change internal phone settings.... just a few of my many gripes against the evil apple empire.... besides them wanting to control your life, your future, your purchases.... etc. Anyway... enough of that
The best way to connect apple is to go AROUND apple with the Chinese/android answer... the carplay dongle and software

I figured this out myself. Created a new app in Android Studio that launches the required Activity "com.autochips.carplayapp.LoadingActivity". I've attched the APK if anyone is interested (works on my Eonon Android 10 HU). If your HU has a different package name than ^^ than this won't work and will need to be changed accordingly. I'll be posting the code on Github so anyone can create these shortcuts.

Thank you!! It worked, I was looking for it.
I don't know if it is possible to have direct access to SIRI without having a telephone cable connected?

Hi there,
I'm in exactly the same position, the qlink software has vanished after approx 1 year of using without issue. Did you ever find the APK and if so could you be so kind to make it available.
