V20 H910 user here.
For a few days now, I've been experiencing a problem where the phone just reboots when SIM card is inserted, it reboots during boot animation
Currently using LOS 16 and i am aware that when there is no cellular signal on custom rom, the phone will crash, but this one is different for i cannot boot Android with this problem
Both stock and custom ROM is facing the same issue
Anybody else experienced this?

I haven't had a crash when I lose cell signal on LOS 17.1. Does the same behavior happen when you go back to stock?

Yes unfortunately, at this point I'm thinking it's a hardware problem now

Sorry for my noob like posting, i'm not very experienced on XDA. I have an issue that I have been completely unable to resolve no matter how many flashes i've done the problem has lingered from CloudyG2 3.3, Tesla 5.1, Unofficial CM12.1, Official CM12.1, Official CM13 and crDroid 6.0. For problems I can't figure out my VS980 ( I use on t-Mobile) keeps rebooting completely randomly. Sometimes it's minutes or seconds upon reboot. I found a way to remedy this, however the remedy is that I either need to remove the SIM card or turn the phone on airplane mode. I know I'm on the right bootstacks, on the right ROm and that the phone support GSM networks as I've used it on t-Mobile ever sence I got this phone. Any help is appreciated and I'd really hate to have to get rid of this thing. Thank you XDA and keep evolving android!
Guys I am facing random reboot issue on every cm13 base Roms and even cm14 Roms..
Tried every possibility
1.Changed Roms
2. Cleared internal
OOS works pretty fine. Not even a single random reboot.
I have analysed when I switch off LTE connection phone works fine.
On LTE whenever I try to watch YouTube or any other high speed related stuff signal gets dropped, connects again and phone gives a reboot
Phone is almost unusable as it is giving me reboots multiple times in a day.
I am using Reliance Jio LTE(India)
Any suggestions please?
One guy reported the same issue on cm13 thread but havent got any resolution
I'm sorry bro.. Even I'm using reliance jio and i haven't suffered any such issue.. Try booting into your recovery and doing a fresh install, wipe dalvik and other caches.. Look if the random reboots is happening in a clean rom with no apps installed. You must have messed up with some system/root settings which may be the cause.. Also if u use titanium backup to restore apps after fresh installing a custom rom, try restore only the app and not the data. If then the reboots doesn't happen, it's more likely an app that's causing the reboots..
Also if you're installing additional zip files, verify that they aren't corrupt!

That's great!
Hello there!
My boyfriend is experiencing random reboots on his OnePlus 2. (He doesn't have an account here, so that's why I'm writing instead.)
He is running the latest LineageOS, though has had the reboots since the build from Jan 31st. He has root active and is also running the latest Boeffla Kernel.
Weirdly enough we can't pinpoint what is causing the reboots and they seem to happen more frequently in the mornings (when he's at work) than in the afternoons/evenings (when he's home). This morning alone he had four reboots shortly one after another.
It also seems to happen more frequently when the WiFi is turned on but not connected. When the WiFi is turned off completely it also happens, but not so often. When WiFi is connected, the reboots seem to stop?
He suspects it has something to do with LineageOS, as he was on OxygenOS previously (before the official LOS builds got released) and didn't have any issues. I found in the forums here it could have something to do with the firmware version 3.5.6 and reverting back to 3.1 or something would stop the random rebooting? (Unfortunately I have found nothing on how to determine your firmware version, but his Baseband version is MPSS.BO.2.6.2.c1-00072-M8994FAAAANAZM-1.82470.1, if that helps?)
So I just wanted to ask if anybody is experiencing the same and if you can confirm the firmware change helps or if you found any other solutions for this?
Thanks a bunch!
Confirmed for me! Changing back to 3.1.1 firmware stopped the reboots

Can you just flash the 3.1.1 firmware or do you need to take any precautions? Anything you need to know before flashing?

It seems to have done the trick. Thank you very much!
Glad if I helped. It was bugging me for awhile as well, although I coped with it by turning off WiFi when I was away from home. Never rebooted for me if I turned it off, but this is much better. I have no real need for volte anyways, so no loss here.
Hi,
For some reason my phone is booting to TWRP every time I try to Power On the phone or charge my phone while its turned off. I am facing this for these couple of weeks. I don't think I did any sort of change to device. It started to happen all of the sudden. The problem started on Stock TouchWiz 5.0. So I thought maybe flashing custom rom may fix it. So I tried to flash AospExtended ROM and the problem is still not gone. On top of it the phone also reboots randomly and boots to recovery. The frequency of the reboots on Stock TW was low but in Custom ROM it is frequent. I didn't tried flashing stock firmware yet for now because I don't have access to my PC yet.
Please can anyone help me with the problem. My phone is SM-G530H running on XCU1BPB1 Firmware.
Thanks
Just flash the stock rom using odin everything will be fine

I'm facing the same problem :crying:
Sent from my fortunave3g using XDA Labs
I installed Pixel Experience (8.1.0), but both my SIM card slots were not working with the ROM, so I reflashed a Nougat ROM (Ressurection Remix) However, now the phone keeps restarting when I reach the lock screen whenever I boot. I tried 3 Nougat ROMs, but they all show the same problem. I tried another Oreo ROM, and that does not show the restart problem, but even that doesn't show my SIM cards.
Any help would be massively appreciated.
