[S20+ 5G] [Exynos] Clean Bootlogo after unlocking the bootloader - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Guides, News

Hey folks...
Now that we have working root for our S20+, and as we know, since the S10 series, Galaxy phones show that ugly and verbose boot screen indicating the unlocked status, I wanted to share my (small) cleaned-up customization of it.
Instructions
* !!!! Only tested for S20+ 5G (G986B), should work for the others S20/S20+/S20 Ultra 4G/5G too, although the actual logo image won't make much sense
* Unzip the attached `up_param.zip` to get the actual flashable .tar
* Boot your device in Download Mode (USB cable plugged, hold Vol+ & Vol- while restarting).
* Click Vol+ to actually enter Download Mode
* From Odin, load the extracted `up_param.tar` file on any slot, and hit Start
* DONE!
If this helped you, please hit Thanks!

Where?

Yeah I've seen some things floating around about unlocking the bootloader, using SuperSU or Magisk, etc. They're all at those random article-farm sites that are really light on specifics. I don't even know if any of it works with the Qualcomm chipset. Would be great if someone did a guide.

Please clarify what's causing your camera not to work. Flashing the file I attached on this thread won't affect your camera at all. Did you do any other thing to your phone to affect the camera?

Hi, i have a 20+ 5G and the camera works fine, guess that you used the kernel from the 20 ultra root thread.

Yes I used that S20 Ultra kernel... I guess it's not compatible with the 4G variant. Everything else is fine except camera. I wish more people would confirm that, that's the issue and not something I did wrong while installing it...
And sorry for the confusion, this Bootlogo didn't mess up my camera!

Thanks ! working fine on root g985f/sd 4g . would love a version without the "5g"

Is there a way to edit this so we can have a custom boot?

Here is a version for the S20+4G (G985F).
Install it like mentioned in first post.
Cheers!

[ZIP FLASH] Bypass And Unlock Any Android Lock Screen

My idea is to replace the lock screen data with an empty null data
and the phone will be restored to basic slide to unlock
and from here, you can access your phone and insert new password or pin or pattern...etc
without format or modify any data "settings, media, apps, Rom data ..etc"
So what is it ?
It's a zip file that bypass any unlock screen
-Pattern
-Pin
-Password
-Face
How
Just flash it with CWM
[BACKUP FIRST]
Why to use it?
So you forgot you pass? no need for format..
just download it on external SD-Card then flash it CWM
Happy bypass guys :good:-

Yup. But would be greater if it is signed with Google's certificate. So, we can flash it even with stock recovery
Can this also be used to overcome the lock screen pin/pwd requirement of Androids stock encryption?

Google camera on Moto g5 plus without root

When I try to install Google camera on my g5 plus,it says the app is not compatible with the device.Any ways to make it work without rooting my device?
Nope
Not until Motorola brings Android Oreo to Moto g5 plus
I installed this google camera and its working for me on stock. try it
https://www.apkmirror.com/wp-conten...-2GDcy6NYMGxXowc/Z/D+BVLECMnnuj0kr28kkYmr3l8=
You don't need root but you do need 64bit Oreo for any recent gcam.

There's also a way to just edit the build.prop by pulling it from adb, editing the file and pushing it back but I'm staying stock at the moment because of the fact that they void warranty just by unlocking bootloader. Also, I honestly haven't felt the need to unlock and change ROM.

Since unlocking bootloader on moto is a bit different, replace the unlocking and relocking commands with your specific device and then maybe this would work. Make sure to backup your important data before trying this out, also correct installation of adb and fastboot drivers with usb debugging and oem unlock enabled is prerequisite.

The only reason if this might not work would be because of that nougat rom,

Ignore it. It occurs due to gapps not certified by the rom. You are using custom rom which is uncertified and therefore your gapps are too.

Newflasher won't help you, it's for flashing whole firmware files to your phone, nothing to do with drm issues.

This is how I handled mine with XZ1 via newsflasher. I was getting no focus and camera button would not work. Check the thread I wrote describing my fix but I used drmfix from @janjan vs storm's xperifix. The result should be the same however.

This is by far the most complicated bootloader unlocking I’ve come across. Worse than lg. Disappointing.

Perhaps it's now time to consider alternate ROMs instead of dealing with stock issues after bootloader unlock.
