mi 9t rom question - Redmi K20 / Xiaomi Mi 9T Questions & Answers

im a noob when it comes to this phone and not in the mood to brick it quite just yet so i have a quick question.
im getting the super bad battery drain issue and want to switch to the eu stock rom, im on global rom.
do i have to unlock the bootloader to switch to another region rom or can i just use the XIAOmitool v2 to switch over?
i have 5 days and 4 hours before i can unlock my bootloader and would like to get the rom switched over this weekend.
thank you.

nevermind i will wait guess i do need the unlock.
i cane from samsung and never had to unlock bootloader to switch to the unlocked rom

Xiaomitool can't achieve what you can't already do through adb/fastboot and can't bypass bootloader lock so yes you have to unlock the bootloader to flash a different region stock ROM.
Make sure to NOT relock it afterwards or it'll be a hard brick. Only relock if the ROM is the Global one in your case.

question about bootloader

hi guys / gals i have a quick question
am I correct to think that everyone that has the moto g5 plus and has twrp and a rom installed has their boot loader unlocked
how do you feel about having an unlocked bootloader does it bother you or is it not really a big deal ?
I had twrp on my phone with lineage but that screen that was warning me about not being able to trust my phone got to me and I had to flash stock and re lock my bootloader but now I miss having 7.1.2 and now i'm stuck on android 7.0
sorry if I sound stupid i'm just looking for everyone view on the unlocked boot and if its worth it
thanks

I'm only speaking for myself here but most of us have been on this phone flashing stuff for quite a few years as of now, so the bootloader unlocking and all that jazz is just standard procedure to get to the spicy custom ROMs. Regarding this phone i haven't tried out a custom rom yet but i suspect i will very soon due to being used to some of the stuff custom ROMs provide (like idk data tickers on the status bar or all that jazz).
Hope this helps mate
That's standard, just flash a new logo bin. It'll ease your mind.

Does Mokee rom relock the bootloader?

I have a Xiaomi Redmi 2 (wt88047) with Mokee's history release on android 6.0.1 (MK60.1-wt88047-170418-HISTORY) installed.
Recovery : twrp 3.2.1-0.
I wanted to try out some other rom on my device but it seems that the bootloader is locked on my device by mokee rom. Ichecked this (bootloader status) by using the command--- fastboot oem device info.
This shows that bootloader of my device is locked . I read that trying to flash on a locked bootloader results in a bootloop which I dont want (obviously).
Hence what should I do to unlock the bootloader (if it is locked) or I can go forward and flash any rom as it is?
I know that redmi 2 ships with an unlocked bootloader but it appears that it is locked now.
Please help.
Thanks in advanced.
I don't have a Mokee ROM,but try to look for an option like on the screenshot.
Have a nice day.
Thanks for responding
I have done this but I don't know the steps to be followed after this . Can you help me with the steps to be followed after allowing oem unlock?

As far as I know, that's it. Now you can flash other ROMs, check if you've enabled android debugging and you good to go.

Galaxy S8 g950f unlock oem and 100% success????

good morning. the trick to back date doesn't work for many users and we have to wait 7 days for appear this option. so, after flash stock rom (after brick) we must wait before flash twrp..... this happend surely with ver 3 of bootloader based oreo roms stock.
now i ask if there is possibility to flash a retro version of bootloader based roms stock that permit to bypass this 7 days.......
is perhaps impossible to flash a nougat rom in already oreo based galaxy s8?
and is impossible bypass with sure success these 7 days?
as it is not easy to understand who was lucky enough to succeed from which rom stock came, someone who succeeded in the procedure could write the exact version of the rom on which he was so lucky? thank you
i hope a answer

India has Xiaomi Store with support, right?
If it re locked the bootloader just bring it there (don't say you unlocked it) and let them do they're job for free since it's in waranty
you should go to the expert who can be fix that., Go to the store.
You can fastboot the stock firmware but i sense you done it already
just a phone no matter how much premium you pay for it. try not to get depressed about it. these phones are usually replaced every few years so it's not a permanent life long partner either. hope you understand what i really mean. please don't be depressed about such things. you can't control each and everything in life. you can only guide but not control n if something doesn't work the way you want there is no need to be depressed about it.
Just go to fastboot mode and unlock your bootloader again. After that fastboot the Indian rom again without "clean and lock" option.
